The staff was very nice. Our room looked recently renovated. The overall hotel appearance was in need of maintenance and the other clientele were scary looking. The lobby is locked with chain at 10pm and a bulldog is inside as well. This seems like this is not a safe place.

This was a SCAM!! It is a drug infested area. Everyone we saw was drugged or drinking out of paper bags. If I get charged I will sue!! In order to walk in the hotel I would require armed guards!!!

Lobby had heavy smell like weed and smoke as soon as we walked in. We would have immediately turned around but decided to give it a chance since we were traveling all day. We had two rooms and both were dirty. One room had dead roaches and brown water when the faucet turned on. The other had a desk that was about to fall apart and an extremely dirty couch. Both rooms were dirty. In the morning there was a live roach crawling in the bathroom. The room smelled heavily of smoke and the walls were dirty. The front desk ladies were nice and tried their best to fixthe issues but the hotel needs alot of work. Would not recommend. We would have been better of sleeping in our vehicle.

OYO Hotel is a nightmare!

I arrived at the very delapidated OYO Hotel. The overwhelming odor of smoke and musty filth was heavy in the air when entering the building. There appeared to be homeless people in the lobby area. I asked to tour the hotel and my room prior to checking in.
There were garbage bags and mattresses left in the halway on the way to the room. There were dirty handprints with built up debris on the walls throughout the hotel. Upon entering my room the smell of urine, smoke, and stagnant who knows what else was even stronger. The carpet was unvaccummed in the hallways and the room, the sheets were not changed, the toilet was not flushed. I told the front desk that this was not the advertised condition of the hotel I agreed to stay at and I would not be staying there. I paid to stay at the Quality Inn down the street instead, it was very nice and clean there. The link to upload photos is not working.

The ladies up front were very helpful and accommodating. Good customer service!
But the room smelled like smoke and bad perfume to cover the odor (despite there being signs everywhere about no smoking allowed)
The carpet was so dirty I kept my shoes on except when in bed. The room did not smell or feel clean because of the carpet. The price was too high for this overnight stay.

We booked 2 kings. When we arrived we were told that Expedia overbooked and there was no suites available. We told them 2 doubles would be fine. The one room was okay other than the fact it was dirty carpet etc. the second room was unbearable. It smelled like cat urine and was just awful. We told them at the front desk and had to leave and said we would be back after our event. We told them we could just cancel one of the rooms and stay in the other. We were told to contact Expedia for a refund. After being on hold for an hour they told us we would have an answer after they spoke with the property. When we got back they had told us they found a king suite one of us could move into so we just agreed. This morning I got an email from Expedia saying there was nothing they could do because get this “no complaint was made to hotel.” I can forgive the room situation but I won’t be lied about or to. The rooms carpet was totally nasty. Roaches in bathroom and crawling up the wall. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever use Expedia again. The whole experience was terrible at best.

It was a very comfortable one night stay and we would stay again. The bathroom sink was clogged and had no soaps or shampoos but the staff quickly rectified the issues. The advertised breakfast was only instant grits and convenience store chocolate and powered donuts which was disappointing since we were expecting the waffle machine like Hampton Inn provides. The outside pool was closed and empty. The staff was very friendly and homey though quite casual.

Upon arrival, you may notice an exterior facade that could use an uplift, a parking lot that could use a pave, and a pool one could add water to. These minor curbside details are just a few small pieces of the cover that one could judge an entire book upon. Don't be fooled, this is a genuine (5)Star resort. The rooms are comfortable, maintained ,and clean.ive found the staff to be kind, hardworking, respectful and genuine. Give it a shot and you will see that there is an affordable, quality, and comfortable stay here that is well kept and truly accommodating. Regardless of whom or what may check-in or out- this place delivers.

After spending approximately only 1-2 hours at this hotel, I promptly checked out. I did not feel safe on the premises nor was this suitable for habitation. The first thing I noticed after checking in and heading to my room was the cracked tiles in the elevator and holes in the back of the elevator wall as well as dirt and grime lining the corners and seams of the floor. Arriving at the second floor, the furniture in the landing area was broken and either missing cushions or utilizing cushions that were not meant to be with the furniture. The carpet was stained and there was a stench of marijuana in the air. As I approached my room, there was a hole in the door under the lock mechanism, and after opening the door to the room, I was greeted with a hole in the bathroom door, a mirrored closet door that was not on the track which was broken, a drawer to the dresser that was broken and off the track, what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet, a broken air-conditioning/heating unit that was pulling away from the wall, scratches on the nightstand, broken tiles in the bathroom, and what appeared to be a dirty towel on the bathtub as well as broken and peeling walls above the shower enclosure. There were many, what I assume to be, weekly residents of the establishment loitering in the lobby area as well as unattended children riding bicycles in the parking lot.

Upon check out, I was refunded the deposit but not the room fee. I would like to receive a full refund of any and all

There was NOTHING acceptable abt Rm № 304. The below were observed deficies and challenges:
1) The Clock Radio was NOT plugged in nor set.
2) The Microwave was NOT plugged.
3) The WiFi was NOT working. It was being worked on Hoever. This issue was very significant bc I called 3 days ahead, talked w Front Desk staff, to confirm that ESPN and family networks were available and operating. I was told YES - \"March Madness\"
4) The Toilet Seat loose. It needed tightening. Which I did.
5) The Hotel Back Entrance bottomed out my Cadillac DeVille's suspension.
6) Rm № 304's A/C was non-opetational. Once plugged in and turned on. Its air flow caused me to cough. The Hotel staff did replace the A/C after my numerous PROTESTATION and INSISTENCE. Even after the A/C's replacement. The environmental concerns were Extremely High. My honored guest has ALLERGIES and ASTHMA. Thus a sanitized and fresh room environment is a MUST.
7) The room's window view was of a nearby junk yard.
8) The ACCEPTABLE MAIN entrance off the main road was accessible via paved path btwn the Burger King and Advanced Auto Supplies stores.

FTR, there are seven other observed decencies. BUT bc I cannot copy them this list is INCOMPLETE.

I WILL NEVER TRUST THE OYO Hotel brand. Thankfully, I arrived and signed in before my friend. She has allergies and asthma challenges. This stay would have caused her severe physical challenges. And consequently ruined the purpose for the trip - Rest and Relaxation for us both.

Hotel is extremely run down and has no signage. Appears they just took it over from another hotel. It is way in the back behind other businesses and parking was crazy. No lines and cars just parked haphazardly. Walked in and had to ask if I was at the right hotel. After check in I went to the room in a horrible, dirty elevator with all floor tiles cracked Once in room I found mold all over the bathroom walls. Smelled of cigarettes everywhere. We came right back down and I was surprised the women at front desk refunded us. They were surprised by mold but were very apologetic. You get what you pay for. Honestly this may be a rent by the hour hotel at this point.

If I could give a zero star i would, NO sign saying hotel anywhere on the building. Homeless people sat outside, I was not prepared to leave my vehicle, or myself at that “hotel”.
I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, this is by far the most unsafe I have felt and I didn’t even go in! And I had to leave at 430am and would not have got any sleep due to worry.. don’t book here

The door latch was missing, it seemed to have been ripped off the wall. The remote would not work for the TV, front desk staff did not have a solution. There is no signage on the outside of this building saying what hotel it is. This place should not be open.

Cigarette smoke in room, room is to be NO smoking.
Girl cleans room has no towels and wash clothes until they do the laundry at after 100pm. Had to get them after 5pm from the front desk.
Filthy rugs in room and hall ways
The clerk at front desk upon check says free breakfast is from 6-10 and consists of cereal and milk, sometimes danish and maybe grits in the back but there was no food at 8:00am.
Free breakfast ran out at 8:00 and they just close up
Cold coffee. No spoons or napkins no anything.
Pool was empty
No table and chairs in what was suppose to be dining area.
We paid for 2 queen beds and breakfast for 3 people.
Toilet is not bolted to floor and rocks back and forth
There is a hole in the bathroom door and would not close and open
The mirrored closest door would not open or close.
No ice bucket in the room
People smoking pot in parking lot and at the entrance driveway, right a the main entrance in view of the staff!
There were envelopes of coffee in the room but no coffee pot anywhere.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I have been traveling for 50 years!

Lots of homeless people hanging around

I used to live in Rome and the hotel was a Baymont. I thought it would be basically the same just a different name. I arrived and there were at least 7 to 8 homeless people either lying on the ground or standing begging for a cigarette right by the entrance. One couple was actually on the ground kissing! My husband wanted me to get a refund but my reservation was non refundable. I talked with rhe clerk about the hotel losing money because of the homeless and her response was OH THEY'RE HARMLESS...i was not afraid but it did make they hotel look bad. The inside looked ok but the carpets in the hallway needed vacuuming AND a good cleaning. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Get rid of the loitering and clean the carpets and i would give an 8 but ONLY because room was nice i will rate it a 5.

I have called at least 20 times trying to find out why my card is constantly being charged after i have checked out and at home. The staff was friendly and helpful! The bed was comfortable, also had comfy pillows. The room was over all clean except for the stained up carpet... it was gross! I wore my bedroom shoes to walk around the room. Renovations have begun, but far from completed. The pool needs to be drained. It makes the property look run down more than it is. Breakfast was available but not stocked at 8 am.. the coffee was cold :( the worst part was the TV programming. I guess they use something like a fire stick in the rooms, but the signal would go down after 20 minutes of watching a movie or anything... So frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel as is unless you are in a pinch like I was. It was the only thing available that weekend in Rome. Staff was great tho, so that's a plus! I would stay here once renovations are complete if they get decent TV programming available, like Direct TV or Cable.

Not sure what I was expecting but was very disappointed in this hotel. The staff was very friendly but at each turn we were less and less impressed. The carpet in our room was stained and gross. It smelled like someone had been smoking pot in there too. The “lights” at the bedside were nothing more than book lights. One lamp didn’t even have a lightbulb s d shade fell off. The AC was so loud I couldn’t sleep. The vending machine was empty and the drink machine wouldn’t take my cash. Breakfast was the biggest joke of all. All it was was hostess donuts individually wrapped. The coffee was weak but the OJ was ok. No sweetener other than sugar for the coffee. We didn’t try out the pool but it’s so small, only ten people allowed at a time. We unexpectedly had to stay another night but definitely found somewhere wise to stay. The QI in Cedartown was a million times better for the same price. I would not recommend this hotel!

If you want to smell like Marijuana....

I reserved one room with a King size bed, was placed in a one room with 2 queen beds. The hotel is converting from a Baymont to Rodeway. When entering the lobby there was a hand written sign on the check in station \"Be Back in 30 minutes, on the floor.\" I rang the bell that was there waited for a few minutes and decided to go get something to eat. Was gone more than 30 minutes, when I arrived back to check in, the sign was still on the check in station. Both time entering the building, was overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana. Finally got checked in, not the room I requested but did not feel like dealing with getting it changed. The entire 1st floor smelt like marijuana, bad! Also, the new TV system, Free TV, is terrible, can't even watch the Braves game if you wanted. DirectTV or cable would have been much better. Hate to say this but someof the known drug hotels in Rome have recently closed and will become other types of businesses, I hope this hotel isn't becoming the new location for those that stayed at the now closed hotels. I can only speak for myself, but I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Driving up to the property, I first noticed the pool area in total disrepair. Garbage and filthy furniture surrounding the algae filled water. The front doors were propped open with electrical cords snaking out. The flooring was ripped out of the lobby and a crew was placing tile directly in front of only entrance. Dust and fly insects filled the air. I checked in, giving the place the benefit of the doubt, and headed to to elevator. The first floor reeked of smoke, cigarette and marijuana. I went to the 3rd floor and the smoke stench was worse. The room was filthy. Stains on the floors, the walls, and the bedding. The bathroom sink was covered in black mold, as was the tub. I called the front desk, requesting another room. The attendant was very accommodating. She sent me to another room. This room appeared slightly cleaner, however, I was staying with my sister and needed 2 queen beds. This one only has a single king bed. I again called the front desk, and the attendant sent us to another room. It was just as dirty as the first room, and smelled like mildew and mold. And the A/C didn’t work. At this point, I went downstairs, and requested a refund. The attendant apologized and refunded the charges. My sister and I were able to find another hotel.

Vulnerable night turned maddening

Overall, I had to check in to escape a volatile home one night, came in late with my service dog and had immediate problems. Automatically the clerk started talking about an additional fee which is not allowed for service animals, yet while trying to explain this, his voice continued to escalate. Then continued to rise when asked about manager's name or business card. He was hard to understand because he didn't speak clear enough. The whole check-in was horrific. The button on the a/c was broken but was still able to turn up the heat luckily. Room was clean, but it was frustrating that it was an additional $30 for a late checkout.

Disappointed in the room

Hotel has really went down hill. The hallway smelt of smoke, thankfully the rooms not so much. There was an issue with the staff fighting over a room. The desk clerk didn’t want to put someone in the room because there was no running water. The other guy on duty wanted to rent out the room because they were full. I have rented at the hotel before for out of town guest when I was having graduation or a wedding. I was disappointed in what shape it was in and probably will not be renting from there again. Definitely not worth the price. The bathroom door has the door handle missing so of course no privacy. I was very embarrassed to put my friends up in this room. In fact I tried to get them to leave and we would make room at my house, even though I had a full house.

Horrid experience from the moment we walked in. What appeared to be leaking ceiling, dirty lobby, hotel grounds dirty, and unprofessional employee behavior. Our children later discovered a huge cockroach in our room, and decided we no longer wanted to stay here so we took the bug in a cup to the front desk and asked for a refund, which we were refused. The employee stated we would of had to find that within 10 minutes of arrival to get our money back. Employee states that she didnt even know how to refund us and that she didnt know the manager's number. She told us that we could come back in the morning, or that Mr.Patel would be there at 11 p.m. but that he would be no help. After talking to Mr.Patel he agreed ro refund us, this process took atleast 45 minutes to get to that conclusion. We were very disappointed in the service and unprofessional service given to us.

The vending machine took my money and the worker did not have access. Wasted $3 for chips. Most of the drinks in the machine were sold out. The lobby was closed after 11pm so we had to walk around the end of building to get in. The room had a HORRIBLE CIGARETTE SMELL!!

The picture of this property was misleading. It was dated and had an odor. I felt like it was just not a safe area. I did not feel secure and the lack of parking is ridiculous. Will not be staying there again.

Room itself was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable! “Breakfast” was terrible— not even decent coffee. Staff was competent but not at all friendly. Place is fine if you just need a place to sleep overnight but wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time there.

We were not familiar with the area, arrived late, and unfortunately, booked before seeing the place. After checking in, we went to our room only to find it occupied. Thankfully, we did not see anyone, but there were clothes on the floor, food on the dresser, and bed was unmade. We went back to the front desk and the man gave us the room right next door to the first and tossed the card on the counter in front of me. Upon entering the room, the first thing we noticed was a strong smell of marijuana. The handle on the sink was completely broken off, making it unusable. And there was a hole in the bathroom door that looked liked someone had punched it. We again went downstairs and asked for a refund but he refused. We stayed we wanted to just go somewhere else but he would not refund our money and gave us another room. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. Luckily there were 2 beds since one bed had what appeared to be blood stains on the side of the sheets. Although we did not see any bugs, we left the lights on in case we felt or opened our eyes in the middle of the night and saw bugs. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and WILL NOT stay here again.
