Mein Zimmer war komplett modernisiert mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Die ebenerdige Dusche war schön groß und das Zimmer ebenfalls mit einem extra Tisch an dem ich den Abend noch ausklingen lassen konnte. Zudem wurde jeden Tag eine Gratisflasche Wasser Medium in mein Zimmer gestellt und das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Parkgarage ist direkt unter den Zimmern erreichbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :)

The property was beautiful. We stayed in the back building. Unfortunately the heat did not work in one of the rooms we stayed in. The Hotel tried their best to get it working at night and when they couldn’t, they issued us a full refund in the morning. They were very helpful.

Such a lovely hotel right in the center of Baden Baden. Location offers access to all the Christmas markets, the thermal bath and the casino all within a short walk. Lovely breakfast location looking out to a beautiful garden.

The hotel is a beautiful property in the heart of the city, walking distance to everything including christmas markets. The breakfast was amazing, the staff attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

NO AIR CONDITIONING. That was a bit of a shock as the website showed that some of the rooms had AC - which was not true - miserably hot. Also, the elevator did not work at any point during our four day stay. Lovely hotel and people but I would not stay there again and we debated about leaving even though we prepaid for the room.

This hotel is steeped in history but has all modern facilities. The central staircase is a wonderful feat of engineering and time should be taken to appreciate it both looking down from the top and up to the stained glass window in the ceiling several floors up. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could think of provided and all the staff were attentive, polite and very helpful. Our room overlooked the main road but was very quiet. The hotel is central so you can walk to shops and bars etc very easily. Would recommend.

Old school hotel in a perfect location with high ceilings and lots of character. Breakfast really good and well attended- staff were great. They brought a small Easter basket to my son at our table Easter morning which was sweet. Very few kids in the hotel so maybe that was why? Easy walking distance to the big spas, restaurants and shopping. We loved our stay.

Hotel am Sophienpark is well very well located; and surprisingly quiet; Breakfast is very good; we struck an extreme heatwave during our stay in August and it was a real disadvantage not to be air-conditioned; the fan in our room and windows wide open all night saved us from the extremes of the heat. Nice touches near reception were coffee and water availability.

The hotel is very well located in an beautiful town.
Due to Christmas market, the streets around the hotel were closed to the car traffic. So we couldn’t park at the hotel parking which turned to be cheaper than the casino parking for example.
All the staff was very friendly and willing to help. Nice and big room, clean and quiet.
Hope to come back some day …

Wonderful baden baden - great hotel

Breakfast was delicious and filling. Be aware that parking can be a bit of an issue, especially if you arrive later in the evening - not untypical of any hotel in a historic city center.

Loved the free Nespresso and cookies in the lobby. The outside seating for breakfast and courtyard were awesome when the weather was good. The rooms were big, clean but squeaky floors since it's an old wood floor. Breakfast was very good with made to order eggs instead of the ones they offered on buffet, which did not suit me. Keys are old fashioned (not electronic) and that was OK for me. A/C was very good...unlike most hotels in Germany (which advertise Air Cond and then don't have it or not working or not actually AC but rather cool fan mist or other). Location was excellent...right in the middle of everything and a short block walk to the Capri Ice Cream Cafe.

Fantastic stay at this perfectly located updated historic hotel in the best part of town. The staff is amazing and goes out of their way to make your visit perfect. They even met our extra requests such as a couple hours extra in the parking garage after we had checked out as well as allowing us to use their cozy and nicely decorated lounge area for my husband to work a couple hours while I spent a few more wonderful hours in Baden-Baden. Our room and entire hotel was spotless. We appreciated the free nespresso coffee , gourmet tea, local mineral water and cookies in the lobby. And the breakfast was delicious and filled us up until dinner. What an amazing hotel. We highly recommend it!

Noisy & Rude!

We have traveled all over the world to many places, and had never been to a hotel where the front desk personnel were so rude. During our short stay here, we encountered three ladies at the front desk, all of them had the same demeanor. We were given a room that was located on the second floor - one side just above the street and the other the stairway. On the street side, our room was almost directly above the bus stop. There were noises from nearby construction, buses, cars, motorcycles, people, and dogs. Some of these noises went on all night long. On the stairway side, there were people talking loudly way into the night. The room did not have air-conditioning which is understandable in some places but it was either keep the window closed to help keep out the noise or open the window to stay cooler and ventilated and suffer the noise.

Before going to bed we figured that we would not be able to sleep well in the assigned room, so we offered to pay more to be changed to another room. However, we were told that the hotel was “fully booked” for both nights of our stay. This was made very clear to us. At NO time were we offered a free upgrade - we don’t know why the hotel manager was told so. You would expect a fully booked hotel of this size to have more than one group of people on the terrace on the courtyard side at 8 PM. At the same time, the windows of the rooms on the courtyard side were all dark except for two and the next morning we saw ver
