A great place to stay if undertaking tours of these areas.

Summary: HVAC/ventilation 1 star, the room and some staff interactions ~3 star. Restaurant/bar staff, the outdoor areas, and the Nile-side location 5 stars.

HVAC / Air Quality – 1 Star:
Our non‑smoking room was genuinely non‑smoking, but in the evenings smoke from other guests—either outside or in their rooms—came through the HVAC system. We didn’t experience this at the first Hilton we stayed in (a newer building), so I believe this can be managed better. Travelers with sensitivities or health concerns may want to consider a newer property. I have autoimmune issues, so the lack of clean air in the evenings was especially difficult.

Room & Some Staff – 3 Stars:
The room was outdated and not as clean as expected for the price. The essentials were clean, but overall maintenance and cleanliness fell short (see photos). A few staff members also felt either annoyed with us or overly pushy with “help” that seemed aimed at gratuities. We’re generous tippers, but being pressured for things we didn’t want or need was exhausting, especially after encountering this dynamic throughout the country.

Pool, Restaurant Service & Location – 5+ Stars:
The pool area, restaurant staff, and the hotel’s location on the Nile were outstanding. These amenities truly shine and are the reason we would still recommend this hotel despite the room issues and a few frustrating interactions.

Room was good with a large terrace outside. Hotel is very nice and has 3 lovely restaurants. Breakfast is extremely good with many options both hot and cold.
Reception staff are helpful with taxi pricing and ordering taxis.
This is our 2nd stay here and both times have been wonderful - right on the banks of the Nile.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I departed, the service at this hotel was consistently excellent — and that is entirely thanks to the people who work here.

The front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. Every interaction was handled with efficiency, warmth, and a smile. Housekeeping kept everything spotless and well cared for, always respectful and attentive to detail.

The restaurant and bar staff deserve special praise — servers, cooks, and bartenders alike. Meals were well prepared, service was smooth and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet professional. It’s clear the kitchen and service teams work in sync and take pride in what they do.

The doormen and concierge were outstanding — courteous, attentive, and proactive. Whether it was directions, transportation, recommendations, or simply a friendly greeting, they made every day easier and more enjoyable.

Finally, credit to management for setting the tone. It’s obvious that this hotel is well run, that staff are supported, and that service culture matters here. Everyone I encountered — and many behind the scenes I never saw — contributed to an experience that felt seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming.

Travel is often about places, but great trips are made by people. This team gets it right. I would happily return and confidently recommend this hotel to anyone who values excellent service and professionalism at every level. (Thanks Chat)

We arrived over Thanksgiving to find out a wedding was taking place and would be closing the pool area for the entirety of our stay. The wedding set up and actually party was so incredibly loud that we had to change rooms at 8pm at night. The staff was not very helpful and did not want to compensate us for the change of a premium room to basic. Very disappointed.

Overall, our stay was okay. The food is priced at high, Americanized rates, which feels pretty unreasonable for Egypt. The staff, however, are friendly and kind, which made a big difference. The carpets in the main area are dated, worn out, and peeling up from the floor, and the elevator has a terrible smell. Despite that, the hotel itself is good — it has beautiful views and genuinely wonderful staff.

We were also very disappointed to see that the girls working in the restaurant do the majority of the work, yet they don’t receive the tips. The men collect all of the tips, which feels unfair given how hard those women were working.

Overall, I wouldn’t personally rate this as a true four- or five-star hotel. I think part of how they maintain those ratings is by asking guests to review their dining experience, which then counts toward the hotel’s overall score — a bit sneaky, in my opinion.

Mohammed the restaurant manager at Rosetta restaurant always went out of his way to make our evening meal special. They decorated the room with flowers and cake for my birthday. The location is excellent. Very close to Karnak Temple.

Had an amazing week. All the staff are very friendly and provide excellent service whether at the restaurants, pool, rooms etc. We ate at Olives a few times and prices are very reasonable and nice food too. The view is amazing. And nice to be a little further out as much quieter. Only 15 minutes walk to Karnak temple.

My daughter and I had four nights stay in Hilton resort few days ago. It made our Egypt trip more relaxing & pleasant.
We dipped in the pool everyday after our difficult & hot day tour.
The restaurants are awesome, especially Olive on the pool side and it is open air, face River Nile was so romantic at night.
The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful.
We had a Feluca ride, the boats just docked on the river bank. Price was reasonable.
The hotel organized the transportation taxi for guests to go anywhere. And the driver needed to show ID to the gate security when they enter.
I highly recommend this wonderful hotel for anyone wants to visit Luxor.
Thank you Hilton Resort, we had a wonderful time.

Same for the pool staff, had to wait an hour for towels after repeated requests for towels. Food was okay and some staff were good, but very different than what we are used to. I specifically booked a room with a king size bed, got there and they didn’t have one. They were able to convert two singles for me but it seemed an odd thing to have to ask for.

The room was decoratively in a rather average state, seem to have a few lumps and bumps missing and rather dated

I normally enjoy a Hilton breakfast much more than this one

The swimming pools looked great, but needed to be heated more. Asked member of staff if there were any toilet facilities near the pools and was told “I don’t know.”

I asked the staff if there were any grocery shops nearby and they pointed me towards the small dusty trinket shops in the hotel rather than the groceries shops at the end of the entrance to the hotel which I would’ve much rather been directed towards

The meal on New Year’s Eve was welcomed, but rather chaotic and multiple members of staff didn’t seem to know what was going on or when

All in all the Hilton was a welcome respite from the rest of Egypt which is rather more challenging, but could do with some improvements at the same time

The hotel’s driver, from the airport, talked non stop about hiring him and offering tours. He made a detour & took the long route as a “preview” of the said tours. We empathically told him NO and that we DID NOT WANT ANY. We had been traveling in different countries for over a month and our flight/luggages was also delayed so we were EXHAUSTED and we just want to get to the hotel and relax. However, he persisted. It was such an UNWELCOME gesture.

Around 2-3 am, the hotels air vents emits a FOUL cigarette smell.

The rooms are small and the carpets are worn and quite outdated. You could also hear every time a door opens and closes.

Some staff need to learn serving etiquette. DO NOT REACH between guests while we were having a conversation to clear the table. RUDE! Why rush when there were hardly any guests? At that time, there were 4 guest sitting and eating in that restaurant- it was quiet as can be.

Have you ever laid in an infinity pool as you look at and feel the breeze from the Nile ? If not you should and you should do it here. There aren’t enough stars for this beautiful property. The staff are wonderful and made me feel so welcome as a woman traveling solo in Egypt. All staff were amazing; reception, the restaurants and bars and back of house at the pool and house keeping. Great restaurant choices and shopping !! I can’t say enough good things. It’s the only place to stay in Luxor.

Such an amazing Hotel near the caos of Luxor, at least from my perspective. We travel to Egypt for 2 weeks and our stay at Luxor was the longest of our trip. The hotel was home-based for our daily tours. Im so happy to have chosen this place. It felt safe and allowed us to rest and enjoy the amenities. The food at the restaurant was very good. The pool and pool service was great. The romantic dinners offered on the side of the Nile river and the so many details just added to a wonderful experience. I was very satisfied also with the laundry services and for the breakfast boxes that we were provided the days we had very early excursions. Staff was always attentive and helpful. Our room, although felt a bit smaller in comparison to other hotels we stayed in egypt, it was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The AC in room was bad. Ask them to fix, they just changed the filter. The room did not get below 29 degrees C. The lobby is cold but passageways and room very hot. Coming back from Tours in the heat. Really made for a bad trip.

Wonderful views. Great to be by the Nile. Good happy happy hour on local spirits. Good food and restaurants choice. Also good spa. Location is great by the Nile but not center of town however town has not much to offer besides archeology. Lots of hassling from locals so we thought location was great anyway and taxi are cheap. The location of the hotel is beautifully situated on the Nile, with extensive views and places to sit and enjoy the sites. The staff are amazing and the hotel itself very clean with excellent amenities! The restaurant for dinner was absolutely wonderful, with some of the very best sea bass dinners I have ever had! We booked all of our excursions through the hotel - Zein and Asmaa were amazing - including the hot air balloon (which is a must do) and multiple other day trips. Our guide (Ehab) and driver were amazing! The staff was also super attentive (shout out to Maro and Mody) and do yourself a HUGE favor and book a massage at the spa. The ladies there were absolutely amazing!!

Last but not least - stop by and say hi to Nermin at the omelette station, who patiently and professionally served everyone as fast as she could. DO NOT HESITATE TO STAY HERE!

The area around the hotel is not that pretty but that’s normal in Egypt so don’t expect any different at any other hotel. I had a really good experience, the breakfast is great, with many dishes at the buffet. The spa is beautiful, is like a whole different hotel where you can book a suite that includes spa treatments. The only thing I feel could be improved is the rooms, they look a little outdated specially the carpets.

Nice resort right by the Nile. We loved the view and the property grounds, the spa facilities were great (steam room, sauna, salt room, heated pools). As the only negative, the staff were a bit hit or miss: some were attentive and friendly, some others did not really pay attention to guests.

One of the best resorts I’ve been to world wide! While the hotel is world class with all the amenities and the cleanliness. The main reason is the hospitality and kindness the staff showed us. A special thank you to Marianna and Rahma and the staff in the cafe, and Shereen in reception for going above and beyond, that made our stay very special. You definitely need to try Fateer House!

Ready for new carpets and refurb. Breakfast selection poor along with poor selection of in the restaurants. Check before you buy at the bar as $125 for 4 simple G&T's is ridiculous. Also check you bill when checking out as we were charged for an extra night we'd paid for online. Overall the service staff are great, friendly and efficient but I'd suggest some investment training the cooks to 5 star standards. Hilton you are slacking!
