Complimentary fruit, chips, chocolate, and drinks in room. Very good selection and quality at breakfast buffet. Free breakfast delivery to the room starting at 6. 24-hour room service for earlier departures. Excellent French restaurant. Fabulous massage. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Three-minute walk to main plaza. Complimentary liquor and coffee tastings. Would absolutely stay here again!

Once again, Belmond Hotel service is exceptional and deserving of a 5-star rating. The Monasterio is a unique hotel, with the appeal of being built on a real medieval monastery. A true former monastery constructed on Inca ruins in the Medieval period and entirely renovated and converted into a luxury hotel. There is an active chapel that was preserved, the rooms are large, oxygen is available by mask, but some rooms also have supplemental ambient O2, bathrooms are well equipped, staff is extremely attentive and courteous. The included buffet breakfast is more like a feast, with more options than you can handle. The hotel seems to focus on amazing service. And they deliver it exquisitely making you feel truly special.

My stay at Monasterio was nothing short of extraordinary. I had the pleasure of staying in both the Junior Suite and the One Bedroom Suite, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The service was impeccable, every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making my trip truly memorable.

The staff went above and beyond to assist with my travel needs, including seamless transfers to and from the airport as well as the train station for the Hiram Bingham journey. The staff even helped me exchange money at a competitive rate outside the hotel and provided a receipt for transparency - a level of service that truly stands out.

Breakfast was a highlight, the best buffet I’ve ever experienced. The selection was outstanding, with premium fresh fruit and made-to-order dishes. I particularly appreciated how they prepared the scrambled eggs exactly to my liking (medium, so they weren’t dry), a small touch that made a big difference.

The art tour was fascinating, providing deep insights into the history of the region and how the hotel’s impressive collection evolved over time. The property itself has a regal, old-world charm, though some elements could benefit from renewal.

One interesting note: Belmond leases the site from the church, meaning a portion of the proceeds go to the local religious institution.

I can’t recommend Monasterio enough. More than a hotel, it’s an immersive cultural experience with service that exceeds expectations.

This is a beautiful property and the restaurants here are excellent. We ate several meals out in the city, and the food here was better. Get a room with oxygen if available, it did make a difference. A staff member we spoke to about having an extra hour at check out time was abrupt, but it was the only negative experience we had here.

Beautiful, relaxing stay at the Belmond. The staff is incredibly attentive and well-trained. We came after Machu Pichu and I have never slept so well in a hotel room. The energy is very clean, the pillow menu is amazing, and the vibe inside is very calm and lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous stay at Belmond Monasterio! Check in was easy and the staff were personable and professional. We felt welcomed and valued as a client. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a semi-private courtyard. Fabulous room. Great amenities in room. Music in the bar in the evening with a wood fire burning. Dinner in hotel was good. Breakfast had good variety and quality. Staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to be helpful. Tea station available all day. Oxygen in room helped with altitude. Easy walk to shopping and multiple restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Well, it doesn’t get much better than this. Staying in a converted 17th monastery in the heart of bustling Cusco. While the hotel is a refuge from the city it is close to all the sites. Meanwhile the service is impeccable and the food at the hotel restaurant delicious. Monasterio is among the very best places I have ever stayed.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, every little detail was perfect.
Since the moment we arrived until we left the service was amazing! The check in was fast and easy, and we were greeted with local tea.The rooms were cozy and clean with a coffee machine and pods.
We also enjoyed the art tour and local alcohol tasting that the hotel offered.
We had dinner in one the restaurants. Excellent food, wonderful service and we have opera singers and live music.

The place is an amazing please to stay. The staff are experts at comfort, and customer service. The food is 5 star. It is my second stay in the deluxe Jr Suite and another in the deluxe suite. It was a spectacular stay. They have a driver when needed. They just don't miss a beat. Taking the Hiram Brigham Orient Express to Machu Picchu is the next best step. I highly recommend this place

World class hotel with world class staff. Everyone was highly professional and extremely friendly. Upon our arrival in high altitude Edson ensured our wellbeing and discreetly made sure that our entire stay was just wonderful. The 2 restaurants (one of them with live opera!) are great, the breakfast was amazing and we bonded with Sr. Sanquito. He started us on the right foot everyday. We learned a great deal about Pisco from Fernando at the bar; you need to meet him.
We stayed for a week in May 2024 and will come back.
We are likely to stay at other Belmond hotels because Edson did such an amazing job!

A stunning over 300 year old hotel former seminary and training ground for Peruvian indigenous artists which is a museum in itself. An art tour was given by an older indigenous man who trained there and shared the history of the people, the art and the meaning of so much. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which maintains the history but has modern amenities. The dining is accompanied by instrumental music. The service the accommodations, food and history made this a most memorable stay

The hotel is a beautifully restored monastery, you can feel the peaceful ambience walking through its galleries, salons, and gardens.
Our rom was very comfortable. The hotel staff is super, they pay attention to every detail, they explained us historical details of the hotel, the city and the region. Dining options are excellent, from the classy El Tupay, to the relaxed breakfasts and lunchs with garden views at Illariy, room service is convenient too.
I’m glad we chose this hotel, it is a gem in Cusco.

The service.is beyond excellent. This Property is unique and an experience in itself, it is worth every dollar. The Atention to detail could rival disney. I would give a perfect rating if not for the Air Condition, which for some reason, stops cooling around midnight every night, and so during our entire stay, we had to wake up and open the windows in the middle of tbe night.

What is not to like, about being treated like a King. From the moment I entered the Belmond, I was treated like royalty. The grounds, impeccable. The staff, genuine and caring. The dining and lounges, perfected. My only request, would be to have a larger amenity option for guests. I was shocked my room didn’t come with a bathtub, as I love to soak. There is not jacuzzi tub in the spa, only a one person steam room, which they charge $25 to use. Thankfully, they waived this fee for me, putting the Belmond over the top in my eyes, one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed.

This is an excellent hotel located in the heart of the city, the nice thing is that once in the hotel you actually don't even know that you are right in the city. The property has so much history to it and decorated so tastefully. The staff are superb in all areas, at check in we were given an upgraded room even though we didn't request it, it was slow season so very nice of them to do that.
