The room was super clean and had everything we needed. The location was excellent and in the heart of Malaga city centre. The only downside was the noise from restaurant customers outside that went on late into the night, as the windows weren’t adequately soundproof. So the apartment may not be ideal for light sleepers.

This apartment was in a great, central location. I thought when I booked it that there were two beds, but one was a sofa bed. The people who slept there said it was comfortable. The place was well-furnished, and the complimentary sodas and cookies were well-received.

Casa de la Merced is an amazing place to stay, perfect location for the cultural sites of Malaga as well as for the beach. The hotel is new, clean, nice size flat with small kitchen, amenities, nice bathroom, super clean and maintained.
We loved it. The only issue we had was that we didnt get the access details on time as we had a late check in and there is not a 24 hours front desk. The email was sent by a very friendly lady but it didnt arrive, when trying to contact them while boarding the flight we didnt get any response and we were to land at 10pm so it was a bit stressful. Luckily we got a message through Whatsapp as the plane was taxing. She apologised and was super nice to us giving us an extra hour for the check out.
Book it without thinking twice, it is a great property, just make sure you have the access details in advance if you are arriving after 2:30pm

Beautiful hotel right in the center of everything. Not very soundproof but thats ok. Matress not comfortable but the room is large and modern. You have to park at the public parking near by, its a 5min walk. The room was clean but the 2nd day i was there they didnt give me toilet paper or made the bed. Otherwise great little place.

Booked this apartment for two nights. A night with Agoda and another with Hotels.com as added an extra night on. Chose the most expensive superior apartment which looked lush.
we arrived around 12 noon and was told our room was not ready and it could be 430pm. so off we went to a beach club which was an expensive day but we needed to rest. when we did access our room it was in very poor condition and nothing like the pictures on the marketing. there was damp patches on both ceilings, the skirting was hanging off the toilet door did not shut ur lock! On day two which was of course a whole new booking we were left with dirty towels and zero loo roll. the window was left wide open on arrival so we got bitten to death as a bonus! i immediately emailed the apartment and was told basically it was tough and there had been a flood the day we arrived which I replied I had not paid for a flood damaged room and would be happy with a reduction I was told there would no reduction which I also requested in writing. I was called on day two to say I could move rooms but as we had a 6am flight I saw no point in the inconvenience. As somebody who rents my own properties out I cannot believe I was treated in this manner. I would definitely recommend you book elsewhere!

Great hotel, great location! The reception staff offered some wonderful recommendations. Our only problem was that the room smelled like cigarette smoke at check-in, but it was resolved before we went to bed by running the A/C, opening a window slightly, and the housekeeping crew sprayed a little Febreze. I think the housekeeper was a smoker, so it smelled a little like smoke, but it was cleared out quickly.

First of all the positives - nice space and the availability of tea / coffee and cakes and biscuits. However I think you can tell the caring nature of a business when faced with adversity. We stayed during the blackout in Spain. We did not have a single communication from the management. I would have thought at least we would have had a message to check we had a torch etc but nada! They left tge front door pushed open all night and that was that! Hotels nearby were really helpful and this made us think we were left without any help. You cannot borrow anything - we asked for beach towels and were told to buy them from Alehop! I unfortunately left my water bottle and they refused to post it. They said I had to arrange a courier service - impossible as reception is only manned 10.30 - 2.30

Upon arrival there was a massive cockroach in the room. The reception refused to send someone to remove the pest, clean the room & refused request to move room. Given this, we were left with no option but to leave the apartment & book another hotel at 11pm - at considerable additional cost. The hotel manager has refused to provide a full refund, I have raised an official complaint with the Malaga Consumer Authority.

I have travelled the World, you sometimes encounter issues, which you expect to be resolved amicably. The staff were unwilling to do so & we felt unable to stay in the property, I've never seen a cockroach this big in my life.

Speaking to other residents they advised they would not have stayed in the property either if they encountered this in their room. All the property has said is that they 'do not have a pest problem' - I have a photo to disprove that. I was also told 'this is normal', contradicting their original response. I never encountered another cockroach in the new property, or anywhere in Malaga.

If you have a problem at this property, do not expect it to be resolved in a manner that you would ordinarily expect.

The only negative comment would be about the sofa, it was like sitting directly on springs with no padding, extremely uncomfortable.

It was my second time to stay at this property. I love the location. They do not have 24 hour front desk service and they only clean the room every three days. I was able to ask for extra towels. The girl at the front desk was not as friendly as the girl who was there on my previous trip. They have complementary soft drinks, fruit, and snacks.

In the middle of all the action. walking distance (a minute) from restaurants, shops and taxi stands. the beach, cruise port and Picasso museum are a short walk away. the apt was beautiful with full balcony overlooking the street shops ( i really enjoy but bring ear plugs bc its party goers are heard all night). I didnt mind the noise, i enjoyed looking out at 3 am and seeing the locals drag themselves home,lol). Very safe and clean. i even walked to the park at 5 am for a smoke and was surprise at how well lit, clean and safe it was. Reception was very welcoming and safeguarded our luggage when we got in 5 hrs before checked in

Great location, close to major attractions and amenities, but a bit noisy as it is right in a busy area of the city where people never seem to go to sleep for too long at night; staff is very helpful, communicative and courteous; room is ideal for 2 but tight for space for 3 when the sofa bed is open (we didn’t mind as that is what we expected); bathroom space is larger than most places in Europe; snacks, drinks, etc. at reception area is a plus; building entry is very secure; overall we had a pleasant stay.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Malaga. It’s directly next-door to the church where Pablo Picasso was baptized. I could see the tower from my hotel room window. Alcazaba fortress, the Roman Theatre, the Picasso Museum (as Malaga is his birthplace), the Malaga Cathedral and the Castillo de Gibralfaro are all within a 4-10 minute walk.

I couldn‘t communicate to the hotel at all. They never respond to my message and never picked up my phone call.
I had to figureout where to park my car by myself with lots of effort and wasting time.
They advertised parking is available. But no information about it. Other hotels advertising parkinng available usually offer discount couponed at least, but this didn’t.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others to prevent another victoms likes me.

Property was in an excellent location and room was well equipprd & very comfortable. Staff at check-in & during stay friendly & helpful. My only issue (which is not the fault of the property) was that i stayed on a Friday & Saturday night - and despite the windows closed, asy room faced the street, it was quite noisy during night with revellers maming noise on their way home & then on Sunday morning witb a large group of suited & dreased up people milling around (must be a chruch nearby). But overall, excellent stay.

This suit is very close to everything, castle, beaches,restaurants,shopping…but very quiet.
Suit itself is very nice and clean,it felt like home.

English speaking receptionist met us and explained we could have an apartment immediately even though we were a bit early. She gave clear instructions about access. Free mini-bar at Reception (coffee, tea, biscuits, mineral water) was welcome. The apartment was clean with lots of power points which was good news to wearers of hearing aids and users of mobile phones! Very conveniently situated in the Old Town, lots of good restaurants nearby. They provided storage for our luggage the next day after we'd checked out. I would fully recommend this place.

we had such a great experience staying at Casa de la Merced Suites! the host was a wonderful lady, very kind, helpful and responsive. She replied our message even it was quite late closing to the midnight. the area is so walkable to all the tourist attractions, they have soft drink, snack, coffee and fruits in the lobby. this is a highly recommended place to stay if you visit Malaga. The parking is a bit off the site in a large parking garage nearby, about 5 minutes walk.

The room was listed as a two bed room, but there was only one bed and they said nothing else was available. We had to cancel 2 out of 3 nights with no refund. Hotels.com, Expedia and the hotel are not taking any responsibility for their error. By the time the hotel said they had another room, still only one bed and a pull out sofa, we had already booked our last 2 nights at another place.
