the breakfast options were great, so much tasty food to choose from. the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. my only complaint is the the bathtub/shower combination is very tight space for a nice long shower.

Former Soviet made hotel Dustlik, but largely revamped. For the price we paid we expected more. We paid $215 per night but got the quality of an American motel. Very disappointed, maybe because we stayed in Hilton Tashkent city two weeks before.

Staff at the hotel were great, the breakfast options were great. The rooms were spacious with many of the required amenities. Overall cleanliness is great and hygiene - some of the finishing / furniture are a bit dated but nothing that is bad. Overall great experience and the location is fantastic.

Good hotel and nice staff. At first I was assigned to a wrong room but manager took care of it moving me right away to a better room which I liked.The pool is nice. Massage treatment is very good too and offered at the right prices. Breakfast is good with an omelette station made to order. The only thing the rooms desperately need is a new carpet.

Overall a good experience but a bit pricy for Uz.

Excellent buffet breakfast. The staff was very helpful for taxi calls, etc. Atm machine did not have cash so we had to go to another hotel to get currency although they do have an exchange office onsite. We had an early departure and the electricity went out several times between 1-2 am. We were worried about getting on the elevator and having the power outage occur again.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and professional -1 of them. The gym was OK a lot of old equipment which is not always safe. And the elevator was super slow but what made the experience is the professionalism of the staff.

Everyone are nice and trying to make our vacation great
The only comment that i have is about the security people in the pool area that are not giving the same overall experience and are more trying to please the peaple that come outside of the hotel to celebrate an event or something like that.
Its very strange to see people come to do an event in the pool area were the guests trying to enjoy and rest while all the security people trying to please them . The main focuse of the hotel crew should be the guests

My staying was poor this time. Entire hotel was so cold. I was informed that government did not activate the heating system in the city which is correct. However, hotel is equipped with chiller and fan coils to heat the rooms. But hotel did not activate the boiler. their solution was giving me a electrical heater.

open buffet restaurant stops working at 21.00 o clock. we entered to restaurant at 20.50 and no one informed us about timing. after 10 minutes of our entering, staff started to collect all foods. We must have been informed.

However, breakfast is still quite good.

Wyndham Tashkent - Highly recommended

This was a business trip for 6 nights. We chose the hotel because it was close to the office we were working in - but I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Tashkent. Taxi-drivers knew it from its old name (Dedeman). Rooms were clean, warm. Larger rooms are available, but the sixe was more than adequate.

Buffet breakfast was excellent - except that hot food on display did not have heaters to keep food hot, and depending on the time one went to breakfast, the scrambled eggs etc. were no longer hot.

Good location and great service. Breakfast is really good. I stayed more than 10 days but I didn't get tired of breakfast.
Great swimming pool, sauna, and turkish hammam. I wish I bought my bathing suit. Fitness center is ok.
My only complain is bed. It is good enough to sleep but it is old.

The staff here are wonderful. They really cannot do enough for you. Yes the hotel is a little outdated by Western standards but the staff really make up for it, plus the location is excellent. I would stay here again.

Beginning to fray at the edges

This was my second stay at this hotel. It has a good location and reasonable facilities, including an indoor and outdoor pool. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the décor is beginning to look tired and in need of renovation. The breakfast is at best average, but the food in the café is quite good, although the business lunch is double the price of many other places in the city. Despite the claim to have free Wi-Fi it was virtually impossible to connect in the rooms, leading to people sitting by the lifts in order to get a good signal, or (as in my case) down in the lobby - note that everyone ignores the no-smoking signs, which led to me developing a sore throat from the smoke.

Good hotel, fantastic staff, repeat business stays

We stay in this hotel for business everytime we visit Tashkent and we will continue to stay here.
The staff are amazingly helpful and the whole place is clean. The food is good (both breakfast and dinner) and prices are reasonable.
The public areas are all very good but the rooms could do with updating. We have stayed elsewhere in Tashkent and all hotels are the same. You cannot go and expect the equivalent of the Hitlon or an IHG for the same reason that these chains are not there.
I would highly recommend the Dedeman Hotel to anyone visiting Tashkent.

Disapointment

This was my second trip to Tashkent and second stay in the Dedemon hotel. First time I was fully satisfied and that was reason for booking it for second trip. However, this time, August 18-20 and AUG 21-24, 2013, it started with AC not functioning in my room. Next day I have to call two times reception, to get finaly response by two mechanics that worked in my room for one hour without sucess. After that I was moved in the other room where I discovered that bed is in very bad und unacceptable conditions. After leaving Tashkent for one day, I returned back, form long day trip, and despite prepaid booking, receptionist did not have appropriate room for me. After half an hour he give me smoking room on the first floor. Room was no ready. Somebody was using bed; bathroom was used with towels not replaced and some garbage in the room. I rejected to accept the room, and had to wait another half an hour to get acceptable room. Despite really friendly staff, I had to request twice my registration card (important documentin Uzbekistan) as well as they missed to wake me up on 3:00am for my trip to Airport.
I am sorry to say, but I would not recommend this hotel to anybody, before some renovation happened (carpets and beds), as well as staff professional skills improvement to the four stars level hotel.

My Experience at the Dedeman Hotel, Tashkent, Uzb

I arrived early hours of the morning, I was given a Superior de Lux Room. The staff at the Front Desk were extremely rude to a Doctor friend of mine.

I went to my room but upon trying to sleep after a long trip, the sound attenuation on the Compressor Unit outside on the Roof was too loud. I tried ear plugs, pillows over my ears, none of this worked. I eventually took my bedding into the Bathroom which was the ONLY quiet place in the room, I eventually slept on the bathroom floor.

The next day I went to reception and explained that I couldnt sleep because of the noise. After a long argument, I was given the chance to look at a room where the TV didnt work, but the sound wasnt so bad, I was able to sleep in that room.

Great location offsets multiple shortcomings

Dedeman Silk Road has the best location for a business traveler in Tashkent, but once beyond the surface, the chinks in its brand armour show up clearly. The standard rooms are cubby holes at best. The beds are very mediocre and the overall ventilation system is somewhat ancient. The overall decor could have done with some refurbishments, but then there are worse hotels in Tashkent, which lets Dedeman still have the edge. Stayed nine nights, but didn't find even one decent hot dish for breakfast. So be prepared to make do with cold cuts and breads, apart from milk and cereals. And also figure out what is what, because lkabelling is only available for some items. The staff though is very polite and does try their best to make things happen, within the limitations of some constipated management decision-making about customer comfort. Certainly not a global standard chain 4-star hotel, but with some reconsiderations, this could well be the best hotel in Tashkent. I repeat, it could be! I wish!

It was a good stay. NEVER STAY IN ROOM FACING THE STREET. They changed my room free of cost after I complained but usually they charge $30 extra for the courtyard facing room. The Breakfast is good but is same everyday. The Harpist in the breakfast restaurant is the best thing to happen in teh entire stay!!!

still the hotelery business in Tashkent still behind 20 years ( visiting tashkent since 2004),When you put this in consideration than you expect the standard to be below 40%.
I paid for internet which was not working,Had to do my work from business center which was a desk in the corridor but amazing with all required facilities.

A/C in room was leaking keeping the carpet wet,I requested for king size bed.I think they never heard about as thy had attached two beds & this is your option,
Room rate compared to country average income is expensive.
UAE hotels & standard is 25 % cheaper!!!!!!!!

Internet is free, but it is very slow. But the hotel should not be responsible for that. The infrastructure of Uzbekistan should be responsible. I forgot my pajama, but I got it when I returned from Samarkand three days later. Breakfast bufffet was interesting, although I do not say it is perfect. Many items, and yoghurt, milk, salad etc. was nice. A few minutes walk to Markhabo Market(Bazar) with many local produce.

Very high rates for the services and facility

The hotel was extremely overpriced. They claim is a four start hotel but to my opinion it cannot be rated more than three.
The breakfast is rather poor. The room was not very good while the bed was unacceptable. I tried the restaurant. The food provided it was not impressed and overpriced. I do not think i will use this hotel again.
