Nice Hotel in Convenient Location but Bad Checkin

It was overall a nicely maintained clean hotel. We had difficulty at check in as the checking time is noon and we came around 9:40 AM due to an early international flight arrival. They asked for 50% of the daily rate for checking us in early, so we opted to wait for noon. They wouldn't check us in until noon sharp. At exactly 12:00 they checked us in. Normally I have traveled to 54 countries and stayed in thousands of hotels as a business traveler and this is the first time I faced such a situation. (Normally even in Europe if the room is free they would check you in early for 2 hours or so if the room is available). But besides that experience, the hotel is in a great location. Everything is walkable. There is a nice park just across the hotel, many restaurants, many shops nearby in few minutes walking distance. I would say the hotel is in a very nice location. Hotel rooms are nice, air conditioners are working very nice. Bathroom is spacious. Hotel is old but very clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was just OK. It had several selections to choose from but mostly it was Korean food. However, lots of coffee, tea and juices to choose from. It's a nice hotel but without a very efficient check-in staff. Checkout was very efficient. I would recommend stay in this hotel just dont come even 1 minute early.

The hotel looks luxurious, but the rooms are VERY old. The drain in the bathtub was not working well in my room so I had to get it fixed. The mattress is quite hard and not very comfy. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The best thing about this hotel was actually the breakfast. Recommend it highly for Koreans especially because they serve Korean food at breakfast.

Properly a little dated, but great location. Walkable to several main sites, parks, and lots of restaurants. Five min walk to two different subways. Rooms and bathrooms a good size. Super comfy down pillows and comforters. Off the main road so very quiet, even on low floors. Roof restaurant with beautiful view and good food. Extensive breakfast buffet. It was a beautiful modern hotel. Very clean. The rooms were spacious and well lit, a lovely lobby with lots of seating arrangements for groups or couples, to meet, to visit, to plan. A bar served drinks. An elegant restaurant offered a huge buffet selection for breakfast as well as a full menu of a variety of choices for dinner. The staff was multi-lingual.

The Lotte is a premier hotel chain and here in Tashkent it is no more expensive than many of the well known American or European chains. It has great service. The rooms are clean and amenities are plentiful. The food is good. We love spending a hot weekend there to enjoy the pool (no kiddie pools and we like that) and the brunch!

The Lotte is a grand old place. It is still lovely with spacious lobby, dining and rooms. It was super clean and the service was of the highest quality. It has outside seating for breakfast and a cool, clean pool. It is not a kid’s play area really and that was fine for us. Relaxing and convenient to a downtown exploration on foot.

The in room dining menu options is too minimal...should provide more options and at least a little description on the food served..

The airport transfer service free for guests does not mentioned only provided for once (either pick up or drop off). it will be good to mention to avoid any confusion.

Great hotel with so much choice at breakfast. Really comfortable room with all the amenities you expect. Service on the desk was great, and I walked to lots of places, even the Chorsu Bazaar which was about 40 minutes walk away (but do-able)! There are eateries just around the corner and it's walking distance to the Amir Temur square and the little shopping centre near there. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Needs some TLC -
We booked this hotel hoping for some class and atmosphere, yet it’s a tired old place. Our room was adequate and the bed comfortable, but the furnishings were a bit shabby, worn and chipped, and the lighting poor. The climate control was unreliable and we were either too cold or too hot so finally opened the window and turned it off.
Tub shower in bathroom has very high side and is slippery; water temp kept fluctuating so moving quickly to avoid cold or hot spray meant nearly falling numerous times. Towels were small and thin.
We observed the same trash on the carpet in hallways during entire 5 day/4 night visit.
Very limited drink menu and bartender not allowed to make special requests, “only what is in the computer.”
Some positive notes: Laundry service was reasonably priced and prompt. Amenities, slippers and daily bottled water were nice. Reception/concierge service were very accommodating. Money changer on site. Good variety of fresh options at the breakfast buffet. Nicely prepared take away breakfast on day of early flight

Stayed here twice between September and October 2018, for a total of 4 nights. The location is excellent, less than 15 minutes from the airport, but in a quiet part of the \"Russian\" city, surrounded by parks and just a couple of blocks from the striking \"Cosmonaut\" metro stop. The Opera House is just a few steps away. Staff is incredibly courteous and helpful, with excellent English, and is always ready to quickly solve your problems. The bed was comfortable, the room had plenty of air con and hot water, and the breakfast is the best in Uzbekistan. The hotel has an ATM (didn't work with foreign bank cards) but also has a 24/7 exchange desk, along with a couple of bars and a nice rooftop open-air restaurant with a view. On one of our two stays, there were no tour groups in the hotel (high season), but later on a few big tour buses/groups—the bane of Uzbekistan—did show up. I used the outdoor pool once, and walked through the gym/spa area: small but nice. You get what you pay for with the Lotte City Tashkent Palace! Recommended.

3rd time staying and already planning the 4th.

Third stay at the Lotte and we will continue to stay here when visiting Tashkent.
As always the hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Wifi is getting better with each visit.
The only point I marked as 4 out of 5 is the condition of the hotel as there is a few very minor things that are starting to wear and should be addressed soon. However, these will not detract from us staying there again.

I Love This Place

This is a first class, upscale hotel with all expected services. It has been wonderfully restored from its soviet-era past; fully modern and classically beautiful. Staff very professional and most spoke reasonable or very good English. Breakfast on a Sunday morning was expansive and on another day when I was catching an early train they prepared a nice bag breakfast to take with me. I love this place!

The bed was very comfy but the carpets are faded and didn't seem clean. Breakfast was chaotic and grossly understaffed. I had to chase down and ask two waiters for silverware. Instead of just asking for guests' room numbers, the breakfast manager should seat guests to avoid having guests awkwardly search for vacated tables and then have to find someone to clear and clean them.

Terrific hotel in a lovely city. Great location near the main sites - right by independence square and the dramatic Soviet era museum opposite. Families tend to come to the fountains in front of the nearby theatre in the evening. And yet the hotel rooms are very quiet and the beds super comfortable. My wife and children all slept well too.

The outside decor is a bit drab but don’t let this put you off. The pool area is very pleasant and the dining areas are all fine too. They also know how to run a high quality hotel and catered to all our needs. We

The hotel doesn’t worth its price. The WiFi did not work well, the safety box was broken, the water sink did not function on first day....etc. The worst is there were people non-stop knocking each other’s door, maybe I was just in bad luck encountering bad neighbors! In a word, it’s overall not a pleasant experience.

Third stay at this hotel and it's great every time.
The whole place is spotlessly clean - always.
The beds are amazing, like sleeping in a supportive cloud!
The service is good, very friendly and helpful staff.
The food, we've had breakfast, lunch and dinner on both set meals and a la carte is always lovely.
The location is ideal, theatre opposite, museum to one side, shopping centres 2 min walk one way, independence park the other and a metro just round the corner.
We visit Tashkent twice a year and will continue to stay at the Lotte.

I find this review difficult to write as my stay at the Lotte was great in many ways, but unfortunately had one very big negative (for me).

The check in process was quick and the hotel beautiful. The porter showed me my room which was the wrong type (smoking), but that was quickly rectified. The room was comfortable with a king sized bed.

The pool area was nice, as was the hotel restaurant (but very pricey for Tashkent).

My issue, and the reason for the three stars was the noise level of the hotel. The first two nights sleep were ruined by the constant road noise and the late party people in the park across the street (likely from the karaoke bar in the hotel). Our last night (Thursday) there was a large wedding (about 300 people) in the courtyard of the hotel and the party was loud! Not a huge deal, but since I was catching an early flight (left hotel at 5 am), the lack of sleep made for a crappy travel day.

Would I recommend the hotel? Although the Lotte had many positives - I would not stay here again.

A genuine 4 star hotel in Tashkent. Decent sized room, very comfortable beds, excellent service and a very good breakfast. Well located opposite the opera house and a 15 - 20 minute stroll from some good restaurants. Good value, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tashkent.

Very poor service - The \"No\" hotel

- Beds are too hard and give the feeling of sleeping on a wooden floor.
- Very small room

Service is quite poor :
- No toilet paper at all at the arrival !
- No mini bar (although the staff asked during the check-out procedure if I had taken something from the mini bar ! Difficult to do when there's nothing in)
- No safe
- No bathrobe
- No sleepers
- No internet (so slow that it's equivalent to nothing)
- Have been waken up at 7 AM by the staff who wanted to take back the iron they lent me the previous evening at 11 PM ! No good sleeping !!!

- Breakfast is absolutely awful. Even coffee is soluble one.
