Let me start out to say that the people who.work in the restaurant/bar were amazing. The building is a great landmark and very unique.

Our rooms AC didn't work, but thankfully the window opened.
There were people running up and down the hallways and screaming throughout the night past 2a.
If you want to see anything you're going to have to walk quite a bit or take a taxi.

Eurostars Palacio de Christal is great! Very futuristic. Overall the hotel is clean, centrally located. We had a great view from our very large room. The was a shower and an separate bathtub in our room. Beds are very comfortable with is a must after long road trip. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel.

This is an amazing building. Think it's called \"the Crab\" by the locals.

Convenient location, with a pleasant bar.

Be careful with the services on the TV (which is an iPTV). What seemed to be logging in for internet access turned out to be a scam for a music / games etc service with a monthly bill of £29.99. There have been attempts to bill my credit card which I have had to change..

Stay in an architectural masterpiece

Several free short-term parking spots in front of the hotel for guests checking in and out are convenient. Breakfast was a large buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious and very clean. Did feel like we were missing some furniture (was it removed because of Covid?) Bed was very comfortable. Nice linens and towels. Enjoyed our stay in this architecturally interesting Calatrava-designed building.

There is street parking available nearby and also an underground parking lot. We left our car near the hotel and walked into the city center.

This is an amazing hotel inside a Calatrava Building. Magnificent. Room was spacious, good design with great views. The bathrroom had a bath tub and shower all in mint conditions. Great value for money on top of! And within 10 mins walk to city center. Highly recommended, will be back!

A very modern designed building, the rooms are comfortable but may require some maintenance, our room offered a multiple jet shower but needed maintenance as it was very clanky to use.
The breakfast was great and so was the bar.

Aurea Hotel in Oviedo is an outstanding place.

The Ayre Hotel in Oviedo Spain is not a traditional Hotel. From its architecture and the room decoration make this place something special.. The buffet breakfast and the service were outstanding . We enjoy everything in the city because the hotel Ayre is at walking distance of the center of the city and the historical and cultural sites .

My wife and I stayed for a night on a trip along Spain's north coast. The hotel is part of a complex that has a truly remarkable architecture, in the outskirts of the city of Oviedo. Our (standard) room was spacious and very comfortable., with excellent blackout. We were unable to dine in the hotel that night because the restaurant had been booked for an event, so the hotel called us a taxi for the short ride into town. What made the stay memorable was that my wife left her camera in the taxi by mistake. On our eventual return to the hotel, the staff were wonderfully helpful and efficient in trying to track it down, and she eventually got it back next morning -- something that would probably not happen in Barcelona or Madrid! Overall: a comfortable, friendly, very striking hotel (with underground parking) in an interesting small city.

I had a reservation for two days, but my flight was cancelled and reprogrammed for 12 hours after. Their policies has a 24 hr notice to cancel a reservation wit no penalty. But I could not cancel the reservation because my flight was canceled on the same day. By the way, I arrived he next day, and explained them what happened. But they didnt make any type of exception. They charged my two nights.
Really very disappointed. Never mind stay again there. And will not recommend.

you can stay at calatrabra hotel on a good price, its not so close to the city center, but you can have a 20 minute walls.
they have problems in to put the hotel in a good service category,.

if you don't still de soap from the cart ...you will not have it.
they have a restaurant ,,,that i tray to eat ...and it was impossible, because the guy at the reservations, have a very strange idea of service,

Ok hotel located in the Calatrava shopping center.

We've stayed there twice, but its the last time. The room was large but the beds were not the most comfortable. The couches in the room were terribly uncomfortable. The staff was generally very nice and responsive. We were on a top floor and it was humid with a funny smell. Do not purchase the breakfast for 12 euro per person at the hotel. There is a small cafeteria across the street and others within one city block. You can have breakfast outside the hotel for less than 4 euro per person. Make sure NOT to send anything for washing or dry cleaning. We were charged over 175 euro for a load of wash. We found a cleaning and dry cleaning service three blocks away for about 40 euro. Even though the staff was competent and friendly, the services were expensive. Not staying here again. You're better off staying near the very center near Calle Uria and Campo de San Francisco. It's more affordable and more activity. Lot's of historic buildings and cultural activities, as well as hundreds of places to eat.

Beautiful quirky hotel. Superb welcome from Amaya who explained everything and recommended the not to be missed sightseeing in the city. Rooms were fantastic, loads of space, modern design touches and fantastic view from the room. Definitely the hotel to stay in next time in Oviedo - worth a detour if in the area. Can't wait to return!

Standard room was very spacious, bath and shower. the room was light and airy, with decent views. The aircon worked well.

The breakfast buffet was good value and of a good standard in a bright room with lots of windows. The staff were very helpful and friendly. But the bar seemed to be frequently unmanned.

The hotel is about a brisk 15 minute walk to the old town. It was a safe walk, even in the early hours. There are a lot of good restaurants and cafes in the immediate area.

Oviedo is a fantastic city.

Can't miss this hotel

This hotel has such a unique appearance (starship) that you cannot miss it when you drive in to Oviedo! It is walking distance close to the the downtown area and to many local restaurants where you can enjoy typical food and drink.
The hotel is located over a shopping mall as well. It does have parking.

We had three rooms booked and each had a beautiful view of the city and outlying areas. The hotel staff is helpful, attentive and welcoming. We would highly recommend this hotel to those traveling through Northern Spain

The hotel is quite something else. A very impressive building that is futuristic and unique. Staff were very friendly and the room was superb with an excellent view of the mountains.

It's only a 10 minute walk into town, which is pretty pleasant through the park.

Parking in the blue zone was our preference over paying for the car park, but that's your choice - certainly worked at weekends for us.

I'd certainly recommend and stay here again.

Amazing building, obviously., both inside and out The room was large and comfortable, and very clean. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area, only ten or fifteen minutes' pleasant walk from the centre. There is a suburban shopping mall underneath the hotel if you need anything at the last minute, and plenty of good bars, restaurants and cafes quite close. We stayed five nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of my best hotel experiences ever. Neither the hotel or street showed up on our GPS, and no one we asked had heard of the Ayre hotel...but when we said Calatrava everyone knew and was extremely helpful. In fact, everyone in town was really helpful and friendly. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. The building itself is incredible and the rooms are delightful. The hotel itself is a 20 minute walk from the old town, but through a lovely and \"very very safe\" park. I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel.

We booked this hotel while traveling through the north of Spain, the reviews looked good so we gave it a try. The property its very modern outside an in, it surrounds a shopping mall where there is plenty of parking. The rooms are very modern with all the amenities expected. Electric black out curtains are a plus. Overall a very nice experience and value. Its situated a short an beautiful walk to downtown Gascona street and the rest of downtown Oviedo.

I was disappointed that I was placed in a room with two single beds instead of one larger bed. I ordered the room for just one person and I had actually called in to ask to confirm that it's one larger bed. I was also disappointed that there was nothing at the hotel to buy to eat late at night, from mini bar or room service or reception (I arrived late). Breakfast was ok but the eggs and other stuff were gone an hour before the end of breakfast time, and no one bothered to replenish it.

The building has an interesting design but the hotel doesn't match it with enough thoughtfulness. There was also no tissue in the room, only toilet paper.

Amazing hotel

There's not much I can say about this hotel that hasn't been written before - it really is probably the strangest building I've ever seen. Effectively a U shaped, three storey structure on stilts, it's certainly different! We stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was large, well appointed and comfortable. The hotel itself is a fair walk (15 minutes) from the old town, which will be a consideration for some, though I enjoyed getting the time to work up an appetite for tapas and then work it off on the way back! Underneath the hotel is a large shopping mall with El Corte Ingles and a good selection of other shops as well as the largest car park I've ever seen - great big spaces, unlike most in Spain! Pretty much all was good here with our only complaints being a few slightly worn out bathroom fittings in our room, though nothing worth getting too worried about. Would definitely go back!

Futuristic-designed hotel a 15 minute walk from sites; 10 minutes to restaurant area. Parking is nonetheless confusing and cumbersome (e.g., to leave, someone from the parking office has to come to the departure gate and manually let you out/meanwhile, an impatient line of cars builds up behind you). Staff recommended a restaurant that was closed. But the room was comfortable and fairly-priced.
