I absolutely cannot rate this hotel enough. From the moment I arrived, along with during my entire stay, I was treated with the upmost respect and courtesy any guest could ask for. All staff were remarkable but 3 in particular. I am eternally grateful to Mai Trang, Huy and Cam. My stay mattered and these 3 went above and beyond to demonstrate this. The hotel should value and cherish their approach to customer service. The food in the restaurant was delicious and again, the staff were very respectful. The bartender who made my night cap (old fashion cocktail) was also very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious and comfortable and the view of the river from my room was awesome. My stay here will be in my thoughts for a long time to come. Thank you so much.

Checked in early, staff accommodated my request to be located on the same floor as my friend who checked in a few hours earlier. Very prompt and efficient room cleaning - room turned over within the time I had my breakfast. Lounge staff very polite, friendly and helpful. Nice views all around, bed was comfortable with a pillow menu, and TV had many movie channels to choose from.

They were so friendly and helped me with everything—from finding an awesome English speaking guide, luxury transportation with a great standby driver and even helped me find my passport I lost at the airport! a disappointing stay at this hotel

Disappointing stay really.

Unfortunately, the check in experience set the tone for the stay at this hotel. Because I didn’t want to upgrade to have breakfast at the hotel, the staff just seemed to look down her nose at me.

Location of the hotel is not great ... room facilities not great either ... overall, very disappointed by my experience and will certainly not be staying here again

A big hotel in an impressive location!

This is a major hotel which dominates the Danang skyline. My room on floor ten had a magnificent view down the Han River.
The hotel is a bit removed from the city centre, but offers a shuttle bus service at 2 hour intervals. And taxis are inexpensive.

I came here with family. I reserved two rooms. The staffs were nice and really eager to help. At first morning, I order the room service for breakfast. It was really confused. I ordered 2 sets of American breakfast but it came with difference in each. I got one cup of coffee. Comparing with other hotel, they serve me one jar of coffee with a cup. I can drink coffee at least 2-3 cups. They were also not in a good look.

Laundry service not available very early and start next day at 7am. Disappointed with my shirt which i got back instead of 6am i told them , only 7.55am . Order room service for breakfast, came without pepper. Then, realised without coffee. Receptiin stagf poor in situation handling iver my shirt laundry. Kept repeating their policy, why accepted my laundry request for 6am return next day ?

It is a modern and comfortable hotel with a great view of the river.
Unfortunately, set on a small island, it is far from convenient to walk and there are few immediate sights nesrby.
There is a shuttle service from the hotel every two hours during the day.
Isolated, the hotel charges premium rate for a breakfast. Little choice, as there are few if any restaurants nearby.
There is building work in front of the hotel.

Great views

A very nice hotel just outside the city, great views of city and mountains. Room was a reasonable size and comfortable. The staff were excellent, courteous and very helpful, special mention to Viet who went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Great variety for breakfast and several restaurants in hotel with a great dishes all well presented and delicious. Free Shuttle bus every 2 hrs to market and tourist spots in city.
I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing time in DaNang

Can’t fault our stay at all. Right from the check in we were made to feel like royalty. Great advice for sight seeing and no intricate detail was spared to ensure we got the most out of our visits to locations or restaurants. The Personal Driver service was fantastic and the Spa facilities were top notch. Would recommend to all.

Not a very restful stay.I'm.on holiday and don't want to wake up early every morning .But early in the morning I can hear the housekeeping staffs talking at the top of their lungs while walking around and cleaning up the rooms.fitness centre is decent.

Staff and manager in breakfast are very nice. However, there was no wecome drink for me and my family like other guest after a long drive Doorman rather playing w. his phine instead open the heavy door for my 12-year old daughter while I paid the taxi. Very uncomfortable. Not going to come back.

This Hotel is has the most amazing rooms and service! We have stayed here twice and both times received access to the Privelege Lounge which has the best breakfast and most terrific service we have had anywhere in the world.
Highly recommend this hotel, there is nothing better in Da Nang! We have stayed everywhere and this is the best.

-Fantasic view from room and Lounge
-Received a free upgrade without even knowing it
-Arranged motorbike rentals for us
-Priveleged lounge has amazing service and food
-Clean and maintained fitness centre
-Good nightly rate
Cons:
-Beds/pillows are not the greatest
-Cleaning service walked into our room at 7:40am without knocking, and then continued to enter even after saw my husband (didn't leave until told to come back later)
-Disappointed by mainfloor restaurant (1st meal-Chicken was dry, side potato came out after we had finished eating meal; 2nd meal-everything cold; very long wait time to receive food...even when only ordered salads)

Being a privilege guest by accident

I had a wonderful time to stay at Grand Mercure Da Nang Hotel. Although this hotel is not in the heart of Da Nang City, we can go to anywhere in Danang easily by public taxi or hotel transportation. Furthermore from the hotel room we have a very beautiful view of Han river and bridges especially at night. For our visit this time, we are the privilege guests to check in and also have a breakfast at privilege lounge at 21st floor. This is the most impressive of our stay here.

Stunning views if slightly out of town

We were staying in Danang for one night on our way to Hoi An to see the more urban aspect of the area. I was stunned by the views this hotel commands over the city. By being a little out form the CBD, the area is very calm, but still easy to access on foot or by taxi. A great business hotel or for a short trip.

We stay here one night. The hotel is nice n very clean. If u travel with kid then be careful with the bathroom floor as it is super slippery.
My son fell down while taking shower.
Our window room overlooks to a bridge n it gets so beautiful at night
You need to take taxi to go anywhere either to town or to malls or to eat. This is the only things I dun really like.
But overall it is great hotel n value for money.

Far from anything

Hotel was quite far from the city center. I love to walk whenever I travel and found the hotel exceptionally far from anything. Want to shop? Call a cab. Want to eat? Call a cab. And you need to call a cab since there isn't one readily outside the hotel.

Hotel does offer free shuttle to the beach as well as the city center, but it's one way. You need to call a cab to get back. Strange, since most hotels offer two way transfers. Quite disappointing.

One redeeming quality is that they do offer free airport transfers. Most hotels charge quite a bit for this service.

I doubt I will recommend this hotel just because its located so far away from anything and they seem to leave you stranded on the beach.

The Grand was superb in most areas. I was only there for one night. The bed initially seemed quite firm, but i slept well. The surrounding area leading up to the hotel is still being developed as it is near the new bridge. I found the room design lovely.(level 20) The staff were very helpful, food delicious.
the only areas of concern; a staff member took a very long time converting the account into US dollars which is all I had on me. Also, at the spa, I asked for a treatment that cost x, and when I paid, found the amount larger by 3000 dong. Not really a big deal I guess as we are talking just a few dollars.

Great hotel for EU business person

Typical up market European business hotel; sanitised and without any local atmosphere - but for the wonderfully attentive staff I could have been in any EU city (but I was in a full of character country that I didn't want to be hidden from). Quite faultless but currently situated in the middle of nowhere until all the building work is completed (another 2 years?) and the whole area given a make-over.

Hotel seemed to be isolated where it was located,lacked atmosphere due to lack of patronage, prices seemed to be a little inflated compared to other parts of Vietman , cost cutting measres seemed to be in place even though the owners son Lambo sits out the front,.. buffet breakfast was supplied with our other two accomodation locations. cost $50 to have laundry done and stains wer,nt removed.

Nice service but only suitable for short stay.

We spent 3 nights with the hotel at its suite room. Nice view, very friendly staff, confortable room. we have 2 young kids, 2 TVs in the room were certainly a nice thought. As well, all soft drinks in the mini fridge were free of charge. Althought the location was a bit 'no where' and you need TAXI to go out. The breakfast time was a bit messy, felt like no enought staff onsite. Overall impression was satisfied though.

Generally ok. As a privilege room and access to lounge it was a disappointment.. The very pleasant girl on the desk in the lounge could not handle even basic English. Any question relating to help for booking in restaurants or their location left her with a complete blank face and not a word. The lounge F&B was poor in comparison to other hotels. The room as a Privilege room was small. The breakfast in the lobby was very basic.

We went to Danang so we could see Hoi An and catch the train to Hue. The hotel is modern and well kept and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There isn't much close to the hotel to do. Hotel offered free shuttle pickup from airport which was nice and also free shuttle to town. Taxi ride to Hoi An was around $20.

The hotel is not located in a convenient location but for 30,000 dong you can go to the central area which is only less than 7 min. away or 40 min. walk. However, the hotel is extremely clean and according to North America standard a true 4-star hotel. The staff are very helpful and accomodating.

We stayed here for one night on the last day of our 4 day trip in Da Nang as we had a morning flight and it was closer to the airport.

The check in process was a breeze, thanks to the friendly guest service personnels at the reception.

The room was nice and comfortable and the toiletries provided were complete and well presented. The interior of the bathroom and its fittings were impressive except for the shower that gave us trickling water and was not consistent with its temperature. As we were only staying for one night and it was already late at night when we got back, we didn't complain to the management though it was quite uncomfortable.

There is a lot of construction happening around the hotel which can be seemn from the big glass window in the room, but if looked further there's a magnificent view of the river. The location of the hotel is a bit inconvenient without a car (but there are always taxis waiting downstairs) and there is nothing much to see or do around the area. You will need to go Da Nang town via taxi for a better choice of food or shopping. Also, not many drivers know where Green Island is so going back to the hotel can be a challenge.

Overall it was a decent hotel, the room is clean and comfortable and it served our purpose well.

I was traveling during Tet in Hoi An and stayed in Danang to catch the first flight out. From the airport pickup to the drop off, the service was exceptional. All of the staff were courteous, albeit shy at times, and efficient.

The room that I stayed in was immaculate and boasted a beautiful view of the Danang skyline.

This is a fantastic hotel that I'd recommend to anybody, especially those that are keen on some modernity after their Vietnamese hotel experiences.

とてもきれいなホテルで、朝食のビュッフェは種類も多く、とても美味しかったです。また、スタッフの方たちがとても親切で、丁寧な対応をしてくださいました。ホテル以外の近くのおすすめのレストランも教えてくださり予約もしてくれました。おかげて現地の美味しい食事を楽しむことが出来ました。また、チェックアウト後、部屋に忘れ物をして取りに行った際も、ドリンクまでサービスしてくださいました。ダナンの旅行を十分に楽しむことができました。

Amazing Hotel, with one let-down.

A really good experience. Booked a \"Club\" room. Great breakfast and afternoon cocktails & snacks. The rest of the time a little disappointing as only small cookies available. Staff in the privilege lounge were excellent ! Very comfortable room with great views. Good gym and spa. Free shuttle to various parts of the city and beach. My only criticism is the outside appearance. Very grey, dreary building, with poor night-time lighting...looked more like it was lit for Halloween. This is one of the best Hotels in Danang, they need to show that better. Tour busses and taxis drop you at a sad looking side door, instead of the impressive front entrance..hardly a selling point.
