Breakfast was not served in restaurant as shown in Expedia pictures. They arranged breakfast in a convention hall which was not clean or hygienic. Coffee and Tea were cold at room temperature. Only two waiters were standing stalemate without helping the guests or checking the food.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and the staff was extremely welcoming and professional. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, and everything from the linens to the bathroom amenities felt high quality.

The location was perfect — close to restaurants and shops, yet still quiet and relaxing at night. Housekeeping did a great job, and I appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property.

Overall, it was a stress-free and enjoyable stay. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service.

The overall ambience and amenities were not really ITC quality. The room was musty and dated, the breakfast was average, the front desk person I encountered seemed practically unfriendly, let alone welcoming. We left a pair of earplugs behind and I called within a few hours of checking out. But they couldn't find it. Never had such an experience at any ITC property before.

Overall stay was OK. For the price, accommodation was inadequate. The room says occupancy is for 4, but only one bed provided, upon request additional folding bed was provided, which is very basic, not up to mark, for the price charged.
Another annoying thing is, only one room key card provided, lift operates only with key card. They said no second key would be provided, which is strange and annoying.
Facility inside is OK, but on out side (my room window side) faces a horse dump. Room floors are squeaky, looks like wood expanded due to moisture exposure.
Who ever designed door for water closet probably thinking, most people waste size is less than 20 inches, because the clearance between sink and door is at most is 18 inches.

Staff is courteous and pleasant, except in the break fast area, where they provided zero service, except greeting.

Overall below average value for the Mysore location for the price charged.

Room - No hand shower in bathroom. Drainage near commode was not good and water was not getting drained. AC had to be kept and minimum temperature to get good cooling.

Service - Had to call multiple times to get anything needed.

Food - No options for no sugar drinks like Diet Coke in room service

Breakfast Buffet - some items were very bad like hard idlis, too oily vada and thick pooris.

Travelled with family of 5, 3 adults and 2 children.
Great lobby and valet helps greatly.
Check in was smooth and staff helpful, also got an upgrade to the Suite room as booked room was not ready.
Swimming pool is a great facility, however enclosed by 4 walls of the hotel.
Rooms were well appointed and room amenities is of high quality.

We hated our stay at this hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable, we could feel each spring pockets on our body.

Food was okay-ish but the wait and service were bad. The plates were not cleaned had food stuck from previous day, it was disgusting.

Room service was super slow takes multiple request to even get some drinking water. We ordered one in room dining, they just served the food without cutleries, took another 30 minutes and multiple calls to get them.

It had a kids play area but most of the toys were broken and not in use for some time.

Price gouging during the holidays

JP Palace is on a busy road. The night we stayed was extremely over priced. We did think it would be good enough at a much lower price, but for $267/21000 INR it was price gouging for the old fashioned decor. We expected to pay a bit more or that for that price it would be really nice, but this was far higher than it should be. They also play music in the corridor outside the rooms so it was noisy. The front desk staff were nice but were unhelpful in connecting with the wifi.

Good property close to the Mysore palace. Clean rooms. Good breakfast spread. Very good food. But slow service at the restaurant. Service staff moving around and have to really work hard to attract their attention. And front office staff not exactly the epitome of friendly service. They do their job. That’s about it.

1. Wake up call was not done
2. Valet parking was a mess inspite of clear instruction.
3. AC didnt work in the night and the technician was 45 mins late.
We were checking out the day and had 6 AM safari which was 1.5 hrs away so were sleepless from 0145 A.M to 1500 hrs and not to mention we were travelling with a 2 year old.

Loved the rooms, they are spacious and well fitted. The housekeeping staff was also very good. The front office wasn't manned adequately, and that caused delays both during check in and check out. The service staff in the morning breakfast buffet was also inadequate.

Overall a great property due to the quality of the rooms and the location. It's situated about a km from the bus stand and 2kms from the Palace, and next to the road coming in from Bangalore. Hence it's in an ideal location in Mysore if you have your own vehicle to go around town.

If you don't have your own vehicle, you do have the option of auto rickshaws available in plenty due to the adjoining LPG filling station.

Those looking to walk have 2 restaurants close by (to the Northern side), and a huge mall with a full fledged food court and movie hall to the South side of the hotel.

I stayed two nights at this property from March 20-23, 2023. Very nice clean room spacious with all required bells and whistles. The staff at the reception and at the hotel entrance were welcoming and pleasant. Mr. Adanan checked us in with giving the details including Wi-Fi password, breakfast timings and restaurant timing Etc., with a hint if you need anything please let us know and wishing us a pleasant stay. Mr. Anant and his team at the restaurant were very professional and knowledgeable and trying to make the guests happy. We ordered ala carte lunch all the items were delicious. If I don’t mention about their complimentary buffet breakfast I will be not doing justice to my review because it was extensive and excellent. This review absolutely based on our experience of those two days stay. If happen to visit Mysore again I will not search for other hotel and stay there . I already recommend it to my cousin who is visiting Mysore end of this month- please keep up good work🙏

The rooms were really in bad shape, the water was not flowing in the sink, bathroom etc. The bedding was not clean and infact the blanket was not cleaned at all and it was stinking.
My request for upper floor room was not honoured but more insulting is the front office person did not have courtesy of telling me that it was not possible.
The quality of food at roof top Tandoor restaurant was just horrible and the live band was of very poor quality.. The breakfast was okay and staff was also good.

It is a very good place to stay, with courteous staff, clean rooms, clean washrooms and very good buffet breakfast spread.

There is a restaurant which serves Chinese food which is good and the waiter there from Manipur was an excellent chap...

The only issue was with food we had Neptune restaurant, which was not what we ordered and what ever was supplied was bad in taste...the waiter there was unable to take down the order correctly.

Overall will recommend this place for a good and comfortable stay

Being a five star rated hotel it was disappointing

First as we enter there is no welcome drink served we have to take it, second I had booked a room three months before and got a room where fridge was empty they don't even have a mini bar mentioned as in iternary. Even after getting to there notice to load the fridge they don't do it. Once after cleaning the room even if we request to clean they don't do it. Where as in other five star hotel they do it before we say. I feel it doesn't match as five star hotel, you can experience yourself and check it out.

Pros: Attentive staff, good massages, clean rooms, food was ok. Cons: Crowded hotel with a lot of families, pool is small and not very inviting, gym needed cleaning, need more than two spa rooms. Overall, good stay and good value. Not what I would call five star - more like 3.5 star.

Expected more from a 5 star hotel.. Have stayed at other 5 star hotels, and for the price paid, it did not stand out in my mind. The front management staff was not able to communicate very well with foreigners, especially English speaking people regarding explaining the rates. also, there was no communication with each other regarding Expedia rates, and communicating with Expedia.. I had an Expedia reservation that they were unable to find, and noone had communicated to anyone else at the front desk that I had not made it in the first day of the reservation. Then the rate was not communicated properly, since they did not show me my Expedia reservation and explain the rate from expedia. Three room keys would not work for the room I had, plus the master key would not work, so I went up and down to my room three different times trying to get in my room. Finally security came. I left, and was not happy with the whole experience.. The luggage staff was very nice, but there was noone available when the person had gone to lunch. Management should have people available at all times. Would not return there and was glad I found somewhere else to go for less the money that I was totally happy with.. so glad things did not work out for me there.

I had booked two rooms for an overnight stay in the city. The rooms were clean & comfortable. Had an issue with one of the rooms initially which faintly smelled of cigarette smoke. The staff were helpful and promptly attended to it with air-fresheners. The restaurant had a good spread of vegetarian & non-vegetarian options for dinner & breakfast. Overall a pretty pleasant stay...

The stay was good at fortune JP palace. However the receptionist was not polite enough to speak to. They need to treat the customers and speak to properly . I am not at all happy with the receptionist .He mentioned you can complain. He was in attitude.

Saftey of guest is a major concern

Front office staff mr. Afzal needs lots of training on toning down his attitude. On the day of my checkin somebody just opened my room door while the room was occupied. I brought this to the attention of the front office who promised to let me know after checking with their cctv. No update was given to me. Just shows hoe seriously the hotel cares about customer safety concerns. Since i had booked my stay through Expedia, i was not given a bill for my stay during checkout. When i enquired with Mr. Afzal about when i wud receive the bill, he could have politely told me he doesn't know but he chose to be rude and blunt and sarcastically told i dont know. Bad attitude which surely put me off for the otherwise good hospitality shown by housekeeping staff and Mr. Amar and F&B staff.
