Our room was nice and simple. However I think the heater inside the room is automatic we can’t adjust at all we are not sure if working or not though we don’t bother coz we don’t need we on the aircon outside. The amenities is just right though I think we did not get enough supply of milk, coffee and sugar as we only get when we arrived and we stay 24-27. As well as toiletries. For staff no complain had very fast transaction. Overall still recommended to my friends as the location of the place is very near to city. Planning to come back on Spring,

I chose this motel because it is close to the Christchurch train station at Addington (for Scenic Train). Clean and tidy, has cooking facilities, however there are not a lot of places to eat nearby and requires a bit of a walk. Also note that if you look at where the station is relative to the hotel, it looks like a direct walk but you cannot cross the the rail tracks without taking another 0.5 km detour.

Very tired motel in desperate need of an upgrade. I didn't expect that based on the pictures provided.
My room was next to the highway and although the traffic noise was muted, it was still at times quite noticeable, especially as the morning traffic started up.
There were other odd noises in the room as well.
However, despite it being very bright outside with street and other lights, it was relatively dark in the room.
Bathroom floor was discoloured so although clean, it looked dirty.
Old stainless steel shower and overall bathroom was large so hard to heat up.
Bed was comfortable and good choice of pillows.
Didn't use the kitchenette so can't comment.
Only bonus was being able to leave my car there until 1pm as parking in the area around the hotel is extremely difficult to find.
Overall I was disappointed with the room.

The hosts checked each day to top up supplies of tea, coffee, etc. Towels were changed after two days. Great place to stay as convenient to walk the 15 mins into Cathedral Square and the Botanic Gardens.

Rooms look somewhat modern, when we arrived at 7.30pm with 3 children, all the windows were open and heater off, it took ages to heat the rooms up with the bathroom and kitchen door closed as those rooms seem to stay very cold. Beds are comfy. Could do with a bit of a fix in some areas the cupboard in the kitchen is broken, and behind one of the beds the skirting boards were rotting.

It was reasonably priced so that's great but once you get inside, first thing you notice is weird smell. The bathroom was so old and really hard to open and close those sliding doors. A whole foor needs to be cleaner. Anyway you can walk to the city centre. Needs upgrading and more cleaning but overall it's alright. Thanks

We found the property clean but in need of maintenance, the Bed was comfortable but moved around on the caster's, The morning of the second night there was a trail of Ants from the front door to the Kitchen and into the Fridge which only had a bottle of milk inside.
The location was handy to town and the nightly rate was a reasonable price.

The room we had was double booked accidentally.
I was so very impressed with this place because they had already arranged another room at another location. It was a definite upgrade and it did not cost us a penny extra.

This property has self check in and check out so any problems do not get back to the staff as a result the heating in the bathroom didn't work and there was no way to get it sorted also the double bed moved around the room and we had to brace it with two chairs against the kitchen table.

This motel is best value for central CHC. There is no bells and whistles. Its perfectly fine to have snack meals in and put your head down. Great transit motel for the money. Very roomy and not cramped. We stayed 5 nights and very happy as we were out every day.

Great soundproofing of rooms not being able to hear the other guests in their rooms.Shower water pressure was pathetic but a word with to the motel propriety I spoke to I am sure this will be remedied. Would definitely stay here again if the shower issue was fixed.Very comfy bed too.Value for money.

It was cold when we walked in as the windows were kept open and the heat pump wouldn’t work unless a plastic piece attached to the room key is not inserted in the right place. So the room was cold again after we came back from our dinner. The kids’ bedroom had a wall heater but it didn’t stay on all night. I wasn’t able to have a good night sleep after a long drive from home because of the bad air conditioning and noise from outside. The motel is located right next to a big street. It was noisy all night long. If you want to rest comfortably, you should pay a bit more and stay elsewhere.
