I'll start by saying the location was quite good. I walked in the room and while it seemed fine for a cheap 1 bedroom with 3 beds (2 twins in the main area) I noticed an unpleasant smell. I couldntquite tell where it was cominv from as everything appeared clean. I then sat down in 1 of the 2 tub chars (that were covered with cgair covers) to find that was the source of the smell. I tried to beutralhze the snell with essential oils and candles to no avail. Looted like the bathroom was recently renovated though..... it was the nicest oart of the room. 2 of the 3 nights we stayed the room lost lughts and hot water.

Room needed a real tidy up and was not particularly clean.
The grounds were in need of a good tidy up.
There were cigarette butts on the walkway outside our room that didnt get cleaned up in our 4 night stay.

Adequate at best.

Room is just adequate. Good shower height and pressure. No room on sink vanity for your kit. Bed is very spongy but I was very tired and slept fine. Blanket on bed was filthy with actual crumbs on it so it hadn’t even been aired or shaken out.

Booked for 5 adults, only two double beds provided, manager suddenly decided he didnt understand english.
The room was absolutely filthy, tacky, smelling of fungal feet and bad bad perspiration all thrown in with rank cooking smells.
The lounge was broken and filthy.
Asked for refund becuse it was too un hygienic for inhabitants, again he told me to see expedia and disappeared.
Travellers beware, this is not what you see in the booking photos .
We left and were lucky to get another lovely place to stay at such short notice.

The property was nothing like what was advertised. The fridge had split seals so good did not keep that cold. The room was not properly serviced daily. The ironing board cover was feral. No cooling in the room. No evacuation notifications. Burn marks on the floor. The mirror fell off the wall of the bedroom and my room wasn’t even touched on my last day. Will never stay there again.

The bathroom was far too small. Timber at bottom of shower was rotten. The spare toilet roll was wet when we got it out of the cupboard under hand basin. The kitchen area could be updated. Curtains had curtain rings missing. Overall we were not impressed.

Very poor units.
We booked 2 bedroom unit, we got one bedroom with 2 beds in longe area. All power points falling off the walls. Toilet seat was broken. Cupboard and draws all falling apart. Doors in between rooms weren’t locked.Loads of road noise. Hear everything your neighbours are doing and saying.would recommend this place at all. The backpackers were better then this place.
Best thing about it is the Thai restaurant that is close by.

Rude person on the desk stated wotif had not confirmed booking, even though money was paid and booking confirmed. He stated we were double hooked. We booked there to walk to the cricket and we had 3 kids to give lunch too. He arranged a replacement motel further away, as tiny as a postage stamp. We would never book at this place again. The stress caused and rude staff. Unbelievable.

Unit 2? on the ground floor by carpark, curtains did not block light from neon sign from motel next door, noisy guests on the upper level continuous noise (did not appear to be any regulations regarding partying all night?) breakfast table only had one chair. The shower dripped continuously needs attention. The Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The unit was clean and presentable.

Mound so bad mound mushrooms were growing.

Our room 205 smelled really bad. When my husband walked to the side of the bed the carpet was wet. He opened the wardrobe door to see where the wet originated from to find a good quarter of the double wardrobe had extensive mound growing on the carpet and a mound mushroom growing up the skirting board. The wardrobe backed onto the bathroom and inspection there showed mouldy skirting boards and another mound mushroom growing in the corner. The bottom of the bathroom door had swelled up from the damp. Obviously the shower had been leaking for some time. Sadly we had arrived very late at the motel and the office was already closed otherwise we would had asked for another room or a refund and would have left. We slept with the window wide open on the noisy city to try to alleviate having to breathe the mound all night. In the morning my husband asked if they knew they had a problem and the reply was ‘yes’. My husband told her it was just not good enough to put people in a room with such a bad mould problem. We both had a headache in the morning and will never use these motels again and certainly could not recommend them!

Central Park for a big group 7 people

We booked 2 rooms, the first room didn't have any toilet paper, tea towels or a can and bottle opener. When asked the staff just shrugged us off and gave us the toilet paper and left. The second room only had 1 towel for 3 people. I asked for enough beds for 5 individual people and 1 couple and we got 3 double beds. 1 one our party has to sleep on the couch.... with no sheets. There were no spare blankets or pillows in either room.
Car parking was terrible and not enough space for bigger cars.

Not quite as advertised

Booked this motel for its proximity to the hospital, as well as coming with a kitchen in each room. I paid a bit extra for a \"deluxe\" studio, but there was nothing deluxe about the tired, dated room I got - and the stove-top didn't work. It was clean and warm and comfortable though, and the staff were lovely, but the pictures in the website look nothing like the actual rooms on offer.

It felt like we were sleeping with the people who last stayed in the room, although clean bath towels and mats, the sheets and pillow slips were not fresh and we picked off Hair and dirt from the bed sheets and pillow area. room was clean, sink hadn't seen any cleaning detergent for some time, soap scum , and the cups and dishes were not all that clean.

Felt like people had cooked for a long period of time in the room too on other occasions, room smelt of cooking odors, probably some sort of Asian cooking,.

Was a quiet room and we did sleep, but it wasn't up to even a 3 star rating for over all cleanliness.

The next day we were woken up by hotel staff blaming us in a very rude maner for the damage that another quest soon told us the window was broken by a person who the hotel had kicked out of another room and broke our window in rage as they left. Recognise Room before you pay

We had preebooked this Motel as it was convenient for the railway station of Christchurch as we went on the Kiwi Alpine Train. However, allready our first impression was negatif when we entered the room. We found filthy carpets which were so dirty that our socks were black within short. Further, it stank the whole night unbearable of curry. We therefore did not return for the second night.

Quite a good location. I normally stay in city centres to be close to everything but that always means paying $20+ extra per night for parking. This Motel was close enough to everything and parking is onsite. Only complaint would be having to get up at 5:35am on Sunday morning to yell at the Management to keep the noise down as they were up early talking and laughing very loudly.
