Alana could not have been more wonderful. I am on holidays from Australia with my 92 year old mum. I had to have an emergency gallbladder surgery the second day of our trip. Alana went above and beyond to organise some dinner (because the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant) for my mum. She took a load of worry off my mind. Thank you so very much

Really lovely and friendly staff. We had a two bedroom downstairs unit, it was quite small. The room was very clean and tidy however it is quite noisy from the road. Even with the windows closed it still sounded like they were open. There is a racing bar across the road so had some noise from the patrons but not for long.

Looks like it is being refurbished as there are some new units. The street front is very tired, overgrown grass out the front and nothing to make it look warm and inviting. The pictures of the grassy areas on here must be from the back of the new units as there’s certainly nothing like that that we saw in the common areas. Hopefully the street front will be upgraded and windows replaced with double glazing on all units to lower the road noise.

Wouldn’t stay here again but I did have a pleasant stay

We arrived later than check in timing which was not an issue. We were given a passcode to open their key box. This must be arranged prior to check in if you do plan to arrive later than 8pm on weekends. Our 2 bedrooms apartment is on 1st floor, not ground. This is a bit challenging for luggage handling. We are colleagues, a lady and a young lad, sharing 2 bedrooms apartment. The bathroom door is a sliding door with no lock so it might be a concern to some guests! Do note that the air-conditioning is only avail in the living room, not the bedrooms.

Bed was comfy, road noise wasn't bad considering it is right on a main street. But I didn't feel comfortable leaving windows open right on the main street.
The place is fine. It's a bit more old/tired than it looks in the photos. Wifi is the biggest issue and would stop me from staying there again.

This property is well located on Riccarton road. Our two bedroom
Unit was clean and warm.The car park is small, with tight parking that fills quickly.
I was travelling with my two children and requested at reception for them to have two beds rather than it made up as a queen bed. The staff member informed me I should have done this at booking and charged me $30 extra to do this.
I politely answered that, as I had two children on the booking, I didn’t think I’d need to do this. He replied
‘Well, most families top and tail their children’. Ok…..
Anyway, it was a nice place to stay, clean and dry. Be aware, Christchurch comes alive on the weekends with Boy racers and staying on Riccarton road can be noisy, I’ve stayed elsewhere before and encountered the same issue. Not unique to this property, just a Christchurch in general issue.

Firstly, the property was very noisy, which made it difficult to relax. It could also benefit from some maintenance.
Also, the mirror in the bathroom was placed awkwardly, and there was no shelf in shower to put toiletries or other personal items, which was quite inconvenient.

This accomodation was clean, tidy, warm and a comfortable bed but the bedroom and bathroom were so noisy particularly through the window area. We wouldn't stay again based on feeling like we were trying to sleep in the middle of Riccarton Road. This may have been just because our room was adjacent to the road, this may not be a problem in some of the other rooms. There was no noise issue in the lounge/kitchen part.

I booked a studio unit it had a sliding door out to a small table & chairs the room was also very sunny. I loved the addition in the bathroom of the body lotion. Room has obviously been renovated at some stage as was very modern. Would definitely stay again.

Would not stay here again. Positives - room was large and warm. Bathroom was a good size. Negatives - the Tv was hard to navigate when it worked. It kept on dropping the internet. It took me an hour to watch 20 minutes of my program. General internet connection was virtually non existent. Could not do any work at night. Do not stay in room 206. Asked to be shifted to another room, lady on reception said it was fully booked so no, room next door was vacant all night. She didn’t want to help and when it was time for her to leave for the evening just advised she had finished for the day and I needed to phone the emergency number. Not helpful at all. Place was not vacuumed for many days. I stay in many motels and this is the only time I have written a very negative review for many years.
