Loved the 1960’s design. Rooms were gorgeous although we were in Room 133, and we could hear what I thought was the pool pump all night which broke our peaceful sleep. The lakeside setting is wonderful watching all the birds fly in at sunset. Overall wonderful stay and I’d definitely stay again.

As a wellness resort, Jetwings Lagoon offers high-end facilities for mid-range prices. We loved the 100m pool, the healthy food menus, and the on-site Ayurvedic Clinic. The massages were excellent, and the Ayurvedic doctors provided a unique approach to addressing some long-standing health issues—the perfect place to recover from jet lag.

About 30 minutes by taxi from the airport. The pool is amazing. The room is a bit worn, but the overall experience made up for it — the restaurant is a gem. It offers lots of food options and a peaceful atmosphere with views of the garden and lagoon. The pool is also very beautiful and well-maintained. Definitely worth a stay.

I'm a competitive swimmer. This hotel has a 100 meter pool with crystal clear water. I was in heaven. The rooms were awesome. The view from our room was fantastic. The bathrooms are uniquely designed. The only downside was a very limited menu at the restaurant

The property is quiet and serene. The staff are polite and helpful. The luxury room has the bathroom “outside”, so you battle insects, especially mosquitoes when using toilet, showering etc. I even had 2 small frogs living in the shower drain! Restaurant service is slow but food, generally speaking, was nice, albeit, a little overpriced. Other than dining, services like spa, taxi etc are quoted in USD at very expensive rates. I find this practice annoying. The location is a little remote compared to central Negombo so getting an Uber etc can be difficult. Nothing within walking distance. Dark arrow roads mean the journey at night can be daunting. As a business traveler, it was a poor choice for me. Wifi in resort is unstable and weak signal. Luckily the manager helped by installing dedicated router in my room. Room has no TV.

The hotel closes down in April 2024, I was told

It was shockingly bad, run down, mildew in bathrooms, broken cupboards and damp musty beds. It is no 5* hotel. The photos shown on internet are either fake or ten years old. Don't get fooled. We moved out in 2 or three hours to Jetwing's other property in Colombo, an hour and a half away after a long tiring day.

I stayed here for one night before I was flying from Colombo Airport. I had a loverly room with a fantastic bathroom and view of the lagoon from the bedroom. A very nice relaxing place to stay. Has a nice restaurant, a spa and large swimming pool.

Only had one night here after flying in from Melbourne so we did not experience everything they have to offer. The room was large and overlooked the lagoon, bed and pillow selection was very comfortable, the aircon a little noisy but overall a nice room. Breakfast is but the lagoon and was very nice the food selection was mostly Sri Lankan but you could get an English style breakfast if you desired, service was good and staff friendly. Did not have time to try pool but it is massive close to 100m long. As we only had one night we did not experiene the local area but it did. The hotel Feels a little out of the way compared to the other two jet wing hotels a few km up the coast. We did not see much night live or restaurants in the area driving a

The Management and staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make the holiday so memorable.
Would fully recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet holiday but with the opportunity to indulge in watersports of all types.

Amazing swimming pool

The hotel is a beautiful relaxing place to stay. The 100 metre pool is incredible, I would come back just to swim in it again. Great food, with a whole vegetarian/vegan section to the menu, restaurant and bars look out over the lagoon where you can watch the fishermen come out at sunset. Large rooms with amenities that had been well thought out, like the mosquito repellent. The sea is very choppy on the beach side, so don't expect to swim there, but there is a second swimming pool there too, just in case you really want to see the sea while you swim! Booked a jetski-ing session very easily with the watersports centre, which was based on the lagoon side. The only thing that wasn't perfect were the bikes we hired - the saddle on one we hired came loose, which proved very painful for my partner, and the handlebars were set really low on both - I would advise cycling around the forecourt a few times before leaving to check you are happy.

Old but close to the airport

We stayed one night at this hotel as it was fully booked for the rest if our stay. I’m happy it was... the hotel is old old old, we got upgraded to a suite but the room was not clean and the huge bathroom had a bad smell. The pool was huge and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was poor with a small variety of choices.
For us the hotel filled its purpose for one night but I wouldn’t stay longer.

The whole hotel design is very spacious and comfortable. The 100m pool is very large and clean. No notable chlorine level in the water, very pleasant only the.size appears unduly big.
The architects should have put some more efforts into the walkway design amd materials as this poor concrete blocks spoil the overall hotel concept.

It is a hotel for package holidays. The restaurant and pool side staff are incredible. The pool is nice. Front desk staff are terrible. Incredibly rude and unhelpful.
There is no beach here either. The sea is too rough (forbidden to enter) and the sand is dirty.

Great place with still room for improvement.

A very good initial experience as the management had arranged complimentary food and spa following an earlier upset at another Jetwing facility. The rooms are clean, staff attentive and service until 11pm is outstanding. The toilets and bathrooms are based outdoors which can allow lizards and other expected natural creatures and insects to be present whilst using the bathroom. This is not always a great experience for those with phobias of lizards in close proximity on the wall next to you whilst doing a number 2. Unfortunately, we had an early departure before 6am and no one would answer the phones to come and collect bags and provide water bottles for our baby. We called the front desk, room service, reception, operator and even in-room dining/restaurant with no reply. In the end, I had to walk to reception at 5:30am to physically request this in person. Later, I had to send one of my children to inform the porters that our luggage needed collection from the room.

Great hotel... until I was interrogated

Overall the hotel is great, near the airport. Pool is wonderful. The rooms are great, spacious and lovely. We had a great time. The staff was overall super. All was fine until check-out time. We had consumed some items from the minibar. We reported our consumption and they told me they had to get someone to check (which is normal procedure in most hotels). After a few minutes someone who was not tending to my bill started rudely questionning at what times I had eaten or drunk this or that (I was there one night! hahaha). Just when I was getting ready to answer: \"if i had chips at 2230 or 2235 it is none of your business, bill the chips and thats the end of it\", the very professional lady who was tending to my bill stopped him and we continued as normal with me paying my bill and leaving. Who taht guy was or why he was so interested in my consumption times is beyond me. But he ruined the whole experience.

Really nice resort style property with an amazing swimming pool much much longer than the length of an Olympic pool. Longest pool I have seen . Bathrooms in the deluxe rooms are large open air design and you have to keep door closed due to mosquitoes at night . AC is not the best but does the job . WiFi was average . Overall a good experience .

Although the hotel is relative nice, the air conditioning is totally in adequate. Our party of 7 guest all did not have a restful sleep. Room temp was above 28 degree C making you sweat under the blanket and too low a temperature to sleep without cover. This is not idea for the hot weather and insect infested enviroment. Had a frog in the wash basin and lizard in the toilet.

We were generally rather disappointed with this hotel. The room and pool was nice. Breakfast had a lot of choice, but poor quality. Transport to and from the hotel extremely overpriced compared to everywhere else in the country. It is clear that they are just trying to milk their customers for all they are worth because the hotel is rather secluded. Overall, front office service was pretty disappointing

Lovely, quiet and comfortable

We had a room facing the lagoon, very close to the spa. It was large with dark wooden floors and furnishing, modern and yet rustic. The open air bathroom was quite unique for me and exotic. Only felt slightly uncomfortable going out there in the middle of the night but it is surrounded by high walls and safe. Service in the restaurant was polite and friendly.

The hotel was probably one of the best in Negombo from the collective experience of my friends and me, and it's great for a short stay near the airport upon arrival or before flying out - the hotel was about 15 minutes from the airport. Our suite was very nice although I'm really not a fan of the outdoor bathroom - especially during mosquito season, it's just not very comfortable! Other than that the room was quite comfortable, although a little dark. It seems that the rooms were really just designed for couples and don't cater well for friends travelling together. Breakfast selection was ample, quality of food was better than the average Sri Lankan hotels.

A bit of luxury and relaxation

A little out of the way and within easy reach of the airport this was a great introduction and first night stay in Sri Lanka...pity I arrived so late/early hours of the morning so didn't get to enjoy or appreciate all the facilities available. Arrived early and was able to check in right away. Best room ever, outdoor bathroom is great. Spa is wonderful did not have to wait. Beach is across the street, waves make it un-swimable, awesome black sand beach. Pool is great, do not need the beach. Staff is friendly but if you afternoon desk staff does not communicate with morning staff. Had to reschedule airport shuttle and late checkout. Other than that Hotel is great and would stay again. A very beautiful hotel. Beautiful large rooms, large pool, quiet and the food is pretty good. The rooms are tiled with dark hardwood furniture. The bathroom is a separate large outdoor room (complete privacy). I really liked this feature as you could hear the rain and the birds. Staff was friendly & helpful. A little isolated from the main hotel/resort area of Negombo. Set on a lagoon, but not far from the beach. I was here on business and never took the time to walk to the beach. The hotel is famous for the huge pool, 100 meters long. It can get a little noisy with the kids playing. I also left the resort each morning and returned in the evening. Other than the poor internet service, it is a great hotel and I would stay here again.

Very good resort with one of the best pools I have ever seen. We only stayed for one night before our early morning departure out of Colombo. A few downsides - the reort is not very close to the airport and actually staying in Colombo city might take the same time. Very expensive airport transfers compared to others I saw but you have no choice but to take hotel transport because of its location.

Not just conveniently located not too far of the airport, but also a very nice place. Negombo is a much more convenient place to stay rather than Colombo is you want to avoid the traffic on your way to and from the airport.

The outside bathroom is great and breakfast by the lagoon was memorable. They also provided us with a driver (Presanna) for a day and we ended up keeping him for the entire week!

A great place to start (and finish) our holiday in Sri Lanka.

Very relaxing, with friendly and helpful staff

Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent locally sourced food, a great environment policy and the amazing 100m swimming pool. Its not a family hotel as such, however there was a babysitting service and a good choice of food for children. The pool is 4m deep (no 'shallow end' although there are steps). The suites have a twin room suitable for children. No beach, although limited watersports on the lagoon.

Nice place

We only stayed for a night at this hotel. We arrived late in the evening and didn't have any problems checking in. The hotel was further away from the airport than we thought but I am not sure we would of gotten anything closer. The breakfast was nice and the view from the restaurant was great. Our room was clean and large. The outdoor bathroom was really big and clean. The pool was really large and if we go back to Colombo and need a place near the airport this would be our choice based on comfort and location on lagoon.

A stylish start to your Sri Lanka holiday

We arrived on an overnight flight from the UK, getting to the hotel at 4am.... Our rooms were lovely. Really big, including a massive double bed, and so clean. I am picky about hotel bed linen - but everything was fresh and comfy. Huge bathroom, plenty of hot water.
Got up to a fantastic breakfast, every sort of food you can imagine.
The swimming pool is huge - we all like proper swimming - apparently the biggest pool in Asia! We all had a massage in the spa, great after a long flight.
Very very good food here, no need to eat out. My daughter has a nut allergy, and they were very helpful about avoiding nutty foods.
Very quiet location on the lagoon. Would suit guests looking for a stylish, peaceful location, we will definitely stay again.

Probably the best hotel in Sri Lanka

luxurious pool area with lovely comfy beds. massive rooms and open air bathrooms which you get used to. food fantastic ( local curry recommended). would describe as an adult retreat and wouldn't recommend for young children. one of the most peaceful hotels i have ever been in. very few rooms which means very few people around and plenty of loungers and space. not a 'party' hotel. more of a relaxing hotel. the staff are plentiful and such lovely helpful people. not much within walking distance however drivers at the hotel are always available and at very low cost. We hired a driver most days for 4 people for 12 hours touring cost approx £50 total. Not pp.

Excellent Hotel

The architecture design of the hotel is quite different. You will hit the pool as soon as you enter the hotel. The rooms are surrounding the Pool. The rooms are so spacious that you will feel like kings and queens. The hotel is between the Beach and the Lagoon which makes it even more interesting Enjoy your stay.

Very nice

The room was amazing and romantic. The buffet was delicious especially the red chilli crabs! I really would like to have the recipe!
