Although sold out with a wait list, they would not refund my emergent cancellation 8 days ahead. I went in person to cancel because they wouldn’t even answer Expedia’s attempts. I looked at their booking screen, and it was clear that they wanted to rent my room to someone else while charging me for the same room as well.
I surveyed the property. The quiet private beach is their main asset. It is a 15 minute walk from the busy part of the island. The rooms have a colonial style, which had some charm, but needs some updating.

Where to start?
Perfect location, great bay, dream views.

But that’s about it.
The facilities need renovation, poor maintenance of gardens and surroundings.
Unprofessional management.
Abandoned equipment and furniture laying in corners, garbage bags. Plastic on the beach.

The resort goes for a desperate ‘everything extra’ policy.. want to paddle.. 500 half an hour, need a life vest.. 50 extra.. toilet 20.. (but sign only.. they did not actually charge for toilet use).

Big issue is that hotel guests and groups of day-trip visitors just does not go well together.
8 sunbeds w. topper in first row.. well.. blocked by visitors. Visitors called to gather by whistle.. very romantic . garbage bags left behind..garbage still around after 2 days.

We stayed 4 nights and loved it. The Chino room was both beautiful and restful. Loved the surroundings and the beach …. But, it was chaotic in knowing how to get to the island resort (hotel instructions are not clear) and then finding that the restaurant by the stunning beach only operated certain hours was a shock. But we made the most of it and would be back in a second if we could.

Not coming back

Okay stay. Wi-Fi wasn't available due to the heavy rain. Seafood buffet (899THB per person) was not good. I wouldn't call this seafood buffet. Waste of money. Frontdesk staff speak English but others don't. The beach in front is too shallow to swim and no fish around. Breakfast was no many choises.
The room was ok. I would not come back for this hotel.

Hotel is dated a couple of things was not working in the room, air con sensor broken and maintain fixed it in about 30 mins,bath leaks (I just let it be) Average breakfast, Restaurant has a bad chief, food is not nice but you can go out of the hotel.in about 5-7 mins you will get other restaurants. Very dirty pool, the filter only turn on during the day, the pool is GREEN and you cant see the bottom... I cant believe I let me kids swim there. Attentive staff special thanks to house keeping manager Nu, super helpful and kind. The beach is nice with podwer sands and aqua blue water but cant see that many fish at all. Overall ok but a bit pricey for the status given its in a remote island... No mosquito bites guess we wete lucky killed a few tho. We stayed 3 nights I would recommend two nights max. Nothing to do.

Best place to stay at Racha island

We have been at Racha island before on the other side of the island (stayed at the Racha). That side is now too busy and too many tourists with less Thai friendlyness as a result. This Hotel and the Beach (Siam bay) IS the right place to go. Much less people and a bit of a hide-away. Coral on the lovely Beach makes it a bit difficult (painful :-)) to go swiming. But just swim although it is shallow! And go snorkling!!! Just order from activity center in Hotel. Great on a Long tail boat and not expensive. We were very Happy! So stay at the Racha if you want 100% luxury but stay here if you think surroundings and less people bests the last perfectionated finish.

Good value for money on a beautiful beach

We were with a family with 3 teenagers and my old parents.
We enjoyed the beautiful, clean beach and the nice weather .
Rooms are big and confortable.
Nice and clean swimming pool .
Not ideal for disabled guests (lots of stairs and walk from restaurant to room, room to the pool, pool to the beach).
The restaurant on the beach is a bless with a nice view and a little wind.
Thai food and a few international options.
The team is very very friendly and always willing to help. We appreciated it a lot.

A little slice of paradise

I want to start off by saying that my fiancé and I are really simple to please people. We found the staff to be polite and helpful. The rooms (we stayed in two different ones) were really clean and comfortable. Yea, some of the stuff was used but nothing was bad. Some of the reviews I read before coming sound so picky - yes, the lagoon around the pool is kind of green - but you're not swimming in that, the pool itself is super nice and relaxing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The area is so mellow and cruise. What more could you want?! We had an amazing time. It was relaxing, beach front, comfortable, and we are very happy with our stay.

The rooms were gross and super far from the beach. The pool was disgusting and not maintained at all. Nothing was ever staffed or open for business. Terrible hotel experience.

While the beach is gorgeous, you'll never get to enjoy it. Dozens of speed bots loaded with Chinese tourists drop off day trippers ALL DAY LONG. They monopolize the already sparse and dilapidated beach chairs and suck on their cancer sticks while shouting at each other up and down the beach like no one else is trying to enjoy themselves.

This place has serious potential, but don't go until it is torn to them round and rebuilt (structures and approach to hospitality). We unloaded and had already decided we wouldn't staying by the time we got to our room. Problem is, no boats were available until the following day. We tried to make the best of it but we only stayed the one night of our 3 night reservation because it was so bad.

Hotel staff mainly from Myanmar therefor some communication problems. Not as friendly as Thai staff and training required.
Room had a few small problems like faulty hairdryer, broken handles and knobs on furniture.
Some instances of run down facilities looking shoddy such as fencing, swimming pool equipment etc.

- Very close to the beach

Cons
- We were given the incorrect room, with 2 single beds instead of the king size. After being told several times they could not change I requested to speak with the manager and then all of a sudden a correct room 2 doors down became available.
- The ceiling leaked a lot when raining.

Terrible experience, not to recommend to anyone

Worst hotel experience ever. Bathroom was broken and hotel management didn't solved, when we returned to the room and expected the problem is addressed, no one available at reception anymore. Room smelt terrible the hole night.

Only reception staff speaks Enlish, all other staff limited Enlish knowledge (and neither fluent in Thai as not local staff).

Management didn't cared about our complaint, we had to insist over 3 hours to speak to management! Described as new resort, but bit in the days and not good maintained.

Island is of course nice, but make a day trip or go to another hotel. This hotel is first of all expensive, but even if it would be cheap it wouldn't worth it to stay there.

For the transfer, confirm that you have space before booking - we had to pay a private transfer (and arrange it ourselves) for 2400 THB.

Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Very bad experiences with the hotel

We stayed one night at the hotel in April 2013. When we arrived with a very tired speedboat trip from Phuket to Racha/Raya Island, we wanted to use bathroom at the reception, but they don't have one, we had to pay 10 bah for each use of a bathroom at the resort near the reception. The checking process is not bad, but we had to wait until 2 PM(we arrived at 10am, as the speedboats going to Racha island only offers the early morning trip). While we waited at the beautiful beach, the reception staff tried to sell us a dinner by trick. We knew that the restaurant at the resort is expensive and tastes bad, so we didn't book the dinner.

The next day, we chose to buy a one way speedboat ticket from the resort to back to Phuket, it costs us 750 bah each person, and was told that it include a taxi to our next hotel in Kata beach of Phuket, but later they charged us 500 bah for about 10 minutes from Chalong Bay pier to Kata beach.

Definitely not recommend for anybody. The resort is the poorest resort I ever stay, although many of the staff are nice, but not very helpful. The swimming pool is quite good, the beach is really beautiful.

No fresh water to drink, you have to buy a bottle of water for 60 bah from them.

Bel hôtel sur une charmante toute petite île avec son Sables fin et ses eaux turquoises
La chambre est très grande.
Très confortable.
Attention pas d’eau chaude.
Le personnel de l’établissement est très agréable, serviable et souriant.
Que dire du petit déjeuner qui est au top et très copieux.
Bref un très bon moment passé dans cet hôtel que je recommande

Avslappende omgivelser, god service, nydelig strand og god mat i restauranten.

Tydelig et godt besøkt eldre hotell, som bærer preg av behov for renovering av rom. Men på samme tid var dette noe vi hadde lest om på forhånd, så dette var noe vi var forberedt på.

Alt i alt, et veldig fint opphold på to netter til tross for litt eldre rom.

Der Strand ist traumhaft, bei Flut wird allerdings viel Plastik angespült, das nicht weggeräumt wird. Sanitäre Anlagen beim Restaurant eklig, Restaurantpersonal war sehr nett und essen kann man dort auch sehr gut.
Die Anlage lebt von der Lage am schönsten Strand.

Paradiset, fantastiskt vackert hotell med så fin strand, romantiskt och tyst och avkopplande ! Vi rekommenderar att ni äter pastan på menyn, vi åkte ofta till den andra stranden på förmiddagen ( vid centrum ) den hade klarare vatten, sedan på eftermiddagen var vid vid hotellet för deras strand var också jättefin ! Åk hit ! Tips hyr vespa och utforska vi såg vilda vattenbufflar och stora varaner

L'arrivée et le départ sont très bien organisés, le personnel agréable et le restaurant bon et à prix raisonnable. Mais il n'y a pas de rideaux aux fenêtres de la chambre donc réveil à 6h tous les matins. La clim est extrêmement bruyante. Et le corail de la plage a entièrement disparu, ne comptez pas faire de jolie baignade avec masque tuba.

Vilket fantastiskt ställe! - Edens lustgård?
Med en härlig pool, i en fantastisk trädgård och till det en i det närmaste egen vit korallsandsstrand känns det som man har hamnat i paradiset. Vi njöt till fullo här i fem dagar, åt vid stranden, blev \"ompysslade\" av personalen och sov i ett härligt stort rum vid poolen.
Hotellet är det enda som ligger vid denna underbara strand (som dessutom kan erbjuda väldigt bra snorkling :) ) ! Söker ni härlig natur, lugn och ro och en känsla av lyx så kan vi varmt rekommendera detta.

タイ人ですが日本語が喋れるスタッフがいてとても感じのいい方で頼りきってしまいました！
ホテルの外に出るにはレンタルバイクを一日800THBで借りるのがよいでしょう。
ホテルの中にはレストランが一つだけしかありませんが、タイ料理、イタリアンあり飽きません。
料金がプーケットの街中に比べて離島価格なのはしかたありません。

ホテル内も適度に広く、十分リゾート感が味わえました。スパやジムもあるし、敷地内の猫も可愛かったしコモドドラゴンも川？沿いで見られます。プールまでは歩いて5分ちょっとですが、ほぼ中国人？タイ人ファミリーが占領していました。笑
ホテル内のレストランは、海目の前にあり、日帰り客の人も少ないので落ち着いていてゆっくり過ごせます。

Site et plage magnifiques et beaux bâtiments dans un jardin bien entretenu, belle piscine, mais chambres et équipements décevants.
Les chambres: Chambre et salle de bains spacieuses mais pas de grand miroir dans la salle de bains, un simple petit miroir rond d'appoint, robinetterie du lavabo vétuste et rouillée, très faible éclairage dans les 2 pièces, un seul chevet et pas de lampe de chevet, réfrigérateur et climatisation très bruyants.
Les équipements: pas de matelas sur les transats en plastique de la plage très inconfortables, bar de la piscine jamais ouvert.
Le restaurant: carte pas très variée mais plats bons et copieux, mais un gros bémol: alors qu'ils proposent des barbecues, ils ne savent pas l'utiliser; on a attendu 45 mn un poisson grillé qui n'est jamais arrivé en nous disant qu'ils n'avaient pas réussi à le faire cuire!
Les transferts: catastrophique au retour. Nous avions réservé et eu confirmation de l'aller retour, voiture de l'aéroport à l'embarcadère puis bateau jusqu'à l'ile. Tout s'est bien passé à l'aller, mais au retour, ils ont refusé de nous emmener en disant qu'on n'avait pas réservé la navette aéroport pour le retour. Nous avons dû nous débrouiller par nos propres moyens à la dernière minute et failli rater l'avion.Comportement inadmissible et très mauvaise organisation. On ne sait même pas s'ils nous l'ont facturé car ils ont refusé de nous donner la facture détaillée lors du check out.

内線電話が使えず不便でした。
朝食は他と比べると悪過ぎ。
レストランの接客レベルが低い。
ハンバーガーを頼んでセットのポテトは選択と書いてあるのにフレンチフライしか無いと言われた。
サービス精神が無い。
マッサージは海の横に無いとやる気しない。
ベッドメイクは素早く良く出来ていた。

Quite nice place

If you are looking for a quite rest, Racha is wright place. For families it's great. Hotel is not crowded and usually Chinese people stays. Every day between 11-15 boat tours coming to the beach with many tourist to have lunch and swimming. At night only entertainment is to wall around the island whish 4km at all. You can rest ATV to ride around. Also there is tide at the sea.

객실 침대 삐걱소리나고 매트리스는 푹 꺼져있고 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 나원참 ㅋㅋㅋ 이런 침대는 또 처음 써보네요
오래된 느낌 팍팍
객실은 메인 풀장 앞 (제일 기본객실) 이어서 분위기가 너무 좋아요
조식은 그냥 저냥 먹을만해요
레스토랑은 딱히 맛은 보통인데 바다 보면서 먹으니까 분위기는 좋아요
맛에 비해 너무 비싸고 부가세까지 .... 어쩔수없는듯
섬이라 다 ㅂㅣ쌈
더 라차보다 저렴해서 갔는데 그냥 괜찮았어요
빠톡베이에는 사람들이 우르르르 왔다가 우르르 빠짐 여하튼 뭐 갈만은 하네요 한번쯤은

Fint, men let slidt hotel.

Ved ankomst fik vi et middelmådigt værelse med defekt bruser og karbad, men så snart vi klagede fik vi en opgradering og et meget fint værelse med stor privat balkon. Service på stedet var rigtig fin. Maden var ikke helt den ellers høje thai-standard, og morgenmaden var fin men ikke prangende. Super fin sandstrand 10 minutters gang fra stedet, som dog er meget præget af kinesiske turister. Stedet var efterhånden en smule slidt.

Kaunis ranta, älä odota hotellilta luksusta

Aamupala oli muihin Thaimaassa saatuihin aamupaloihin verrattuna valikoimaltaan ja laadultaan pettymys. Selkä ja häntäluu ovat tässä hotellissa kovilla johtuen kovasta sängystä ja aurinkopetien huonoista pehmusteista. Iso huone oli kolkko ja kulunut lattioita lukuunottamatta, jotka lienee hiljattain uusittu. Suihku oli vaatimaton, mutta vedenpaine hyvä ja vesi lämmintä. Hotellin ravintolan taso pelasti paljon ja siellä tulikin nautittua viikon lomalla useampi lounas ja illallinen oikein mielellään. Ravintolan sijainti oli myös saaren viihtyisimpiä, suoraan rannalla. Tuttu thaimaalainen hymy puuttui henkilökunnan kasvoilta kauttaaltaan eikä iloisia \"sawade kaa\"-tervehdyksiä kuultu kertaakaan koko loman aikana. Päiväretkeilijöitä Siam Baylla (hotellin rannalla) riittää, mutta onneksi aamun ensimmäiset ja iltapäivän viimeiset tunnit ovat rauhallisia, jolloin hotellin asukkailla on hyvä tilaisuus nauttia kauniista rannasta hiljaisuudessa. Snorklailua emme Siam Baylla kokeilleet, sillä kauniiksi kehutut korallit olivat kuitenkin kohtalaisen pitkän uintimatkan päässä rannasta ja uinnille omat haasteensa asetti voimakkaasti muuttuva merenpinnan taso. Saarella riittää kyllä muita snorlauspaikkoja, joihin pääsee käsiksi Siam Bayta kätevämmin.

인기있는 바톡비치와 다소 거리가 있지만 걸어서 이동하기에 많이 멀지 않았음. 갈때는 굉장히 덥지만 올때는 물에 젖어있어서 그닥 덥지 않음. 유명한 더라차호텔과 비교해서 덜 현대화되어 있지만 오히려 더 자연친화적이고 사람이 많이 붐비지 않아 좋았음. 조식은 빵, 소시지, 베이컨, 오믈렛이 가장 먹을만함. 야외에 도마뱀이 많은데 간혹 의자 쿠션틈에 새끼도마뱀이 끼어 있을 수 있으니 주의해야 함. 새끼손가락보다 작아서 전혀 위험하지 않고 귀여움.
섬이라서 모든 가격이 비쌈. 특히 식사는 파통의 2~3배 정도 되는데 양도 작아서 먹다가 화남. 라야부리 내 레스토랑의 피자가 그나마 가성비 제일 좋음.

가성비후짐 라차섬덕분에 존재하는 호텔 다른데서 이런식으로 장사했으면 진작에 망했을 호텔

라야부리는 빠통이나 푸켓내 다른 비치에서 이런식으로 장사했으면 진작에 망했을겁니다.
프론트 직원들은 무뚝뚝하지만 불친절하진않습니다. 하지만 비치에서 타월나눠주고 구명조끼 및 스노클 장비 대여해주는 여직원은 오히려 고객에서 화를 내기도하고 친절함이라곤 전혀 찾아 볼 수없었습니다.
제가 라야부리의 매니저라면 이런 직원은 당장 해고 할것 같습니다. 호텔의 이미지를 상당히 많이 깎아먹고 고객에게 불쾌감만 심어 주기 때문이죠. 객실 수준도 상당히 떨어지고 오래되고 낡았습니다.
다른지역에서 10만원 중후반대에서 묵고오셨다면 라야부리 객실 상태는 상~당히 실망스러우실수있습니다. 저는 한국내 모텔 중 1박에 4만원하는 오래되고 낡긴했지만 깔끔한척하려하는...막상 들어가면 군데군데 낡은티가나는 그런 모텔들이 떠오르더군요.
하지만 시암베이 물색하나는 끝내줍니다. 시암베이의 장점은 물이 빠지는 때에는 아주 멀리까지나가도
계속해서 허벅지나 가슴까지오는 물높이라 맘편히 놀기는 좋지만 산호들이 모래들에 덮혀서
산호들이 죽은건지 물고기를 보기가 힘듭니다.
물고기를 보는 스노클링을하실분은 빠톡베이로 가시면됩니다.
빠톡베이로가는 빠른길을 알려드리면
시암베이 왼쪽으로쭉가면 버려진 오두막같은것이 있습니다.
오두막옆으로 완만한 오르막길이 보일겁니다(나름 시멘트 발린 길입니다)
오르막 쭉올라가서 갈라지는길나오면 우회전한뒤 잠깐 걷다보면 왼쪽으로 벽따라 산길이 하나있습니다
그 길따라 다시 쭉가면 빠톡베이에있는 레스토랑이 나옵니다. 그 레스토랑을 통과해 내려가면 바로 빠톡베이입니다. 이길은 호텔측 직원한테 알고왔다고 길좀 알려달라해도 그런거 없다고 안알려주더군요. 직접 헤매면서 알아냈습니다

Tilattu kuljetus lentokentältä hotellille ei onnistunut, mutta pahoitteluja esitettiin runsaasti. Wi-Fi toimi satunnaisesti ja pääasiassa vain vastaanoton lähettyvillä. Astioiden tiskaus unohtui siivoojalta. Muutoin kaikki toimi hienosti ja palvelu oli ystävällistä.

人手不足な感じ

1月17日からガールフレンドと4泊しました。私達は、ホテルに到着した時は、全体的な景色の良さに感動しました。しかし、部屋に入り、しばらくすると、その感動がなくなり、所々、不便を感じ始めました。ホテルの外観は良いのですが、水周りの不備が多い。洗面所で手を洗うと、水が溜まり、手で栓の紐を引かないと水が流れず。また、バスタブの栓も錆びていて、スムーズに動きません。フロントに2往復して、ようやく部屋を変えてもらいました。しかし、変えた部屋の水周りも弱く、バスタブの栓をハサミを使って持ち上げないと水を抜くことができません。またジャグジー機能が故障で作動せず。フロントへの電話も常につながらず、暑い中、フロントまで、用がある度に、往復12分歩く必要があります。フロントへの電話は、10回以上、異なる時間帯で架けましたが、一度もつながりませんでした。また、備え付けのビーチタオルがなく、毎回、フロント近くのアクティビティセンターまで、取りに行き、当日中の17時までに返す必要があります。また、ホテルの外に行く道はフロントの反対側にあり、敷地が広いので非常に面倒です。特に外出時間の制限もなく、外の売店は21時過ぎまで営業しています。ホテル内に外観が立派なスパがありますが10日前から営業中止で経営者とも連絡が取れないそうです。そのため、マッサージの店は、島の中心にある店とバーンラヤリゾート内の店しかありません。ザラチャのスパはビジターは利用できませんでした。また、断続的に故障するホテルのWiFiも昼間の時間帯に、2.3時間のみ使用できました、部屋に居る事が多い夜の時間帯は一度も使えませんでした。客層は中国人9割、白人1割でした。ビーチは砂は綺麗ですが、島の生活排水が垂れ流されている影響でパトックビーチのように綺麗ではありません。波も強く、フィンを付けて50メートルほど沖に行かないとサンゴがありません。海に居る人は5人以内です。中国語、英語、日本語が話せる中国人のルックスのマネジャーが孤軍奮闘していますが、沈没し始めた船のようなホテルでした。

조용히 쉬기 좋은 아름다운 섬

낮에 잠깐 왔다가는 투어 관광객들이 돌아가면 조용하고 쉬기 좋은 아름다운 섬입니다.
룸도 넓고 떨어져있어서 소음도 없고 좋습니다. 조식도 좋았습니다. 해변과 가까워서 좋습니다.
편의점도 있어서 부족한 음식이나 물품을 구입할수있습니다.
단점은 체크인, 체크아웃 시간과 스피드 보트 셔틀 탑승 시간이랑 텀이 있어서 기다려야하는 대기시간이 발생할 수도 있습니다. 그리고 라야부리레스토랑이 제일 가깝고, 그 외 식당은 멀고 몇군데 없습니다.

Helt underbart! Absolut det bästa hotell jag varit på, så bra service och maten på hotellet var riktigt bra!
Rekommenderar detta hotell till alla, inge mycket för fest men det är inte det vi sökte efter utan ön och vyn var magisk!

スタッフが親切で、気持ち良く滞在できました。何よりビーチがきれいで静かです。日帰りの観光客もたくさん来ますが、他のビーチに比べたら全然少ないです。
レストランはひとつでメニューは多くありませんがおいしいです。特にタイ料理はどれも美味しかったです。
