The hotel is nice, but for what we paid and had read on the reviews, I was expecting something much nicer. Most of the guests are work travelers and the feel of the hotel is pretty quiet. The meal service options are good and the rooms are pretty standard.
One thing to improve would be recommendations for things to do in the area and Dhaka at large. We were first timers visiting and didn’t get anything very helpful.

Excellent small hotel

A very comfortable and neat small hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts. The hotel is situated in the cleaner ‘embassy’ section of Dhaka and off any main rounds. I would absolutely stay here again and fully recommend it.

The coffee is great and Yasmine is the best at customer service. The shower heads have mould indicating poor water filtration. The room service is not thorough at cleaning the rooms or bathrooms. There is dust everywhere. Waiters stand over you whilst you eat scooping your plate up as you take the last mouthful. They will chase you to sign for a meal yet expect you to wait whilst they figure out the bill. This is despite knowing you are a guest staying at the hotel. If a member of staff has a job considering customer service is lost. For example picking up laundry at 10pm then ringing the doorbell or calling the room at 10.30 at night because they have questions about the laundry. In another instance entering a room when a guest is asleep to spray insect repellent because that is the assigned job by management. The hotel staff need hospitality training and not be buttering your toast or cutting the bread.
Much improvement needed.

Reminds me of European boutique hotels

I have been staying in this hotel for last few years and always the stay has been fabulous!
Break fast n food is amazing !

I would like to names names of Francis , Hassan and Azim from front desk , they are very courteous and helpful.
Will continue to stay here till I come to Dhaka

The Way has a posh feel. Lots of staff to help you, and a small shot of apple juice while checking in at 2 pm. But when checked in, we waited 35 minutes in the lobby for a room. Once in the room we had visitors bringing us a bathroom, more shampoo, etc. Ok. Maybe we moved in too soon. Complimentary breakfast was good. As vegans who avoid chilis, we found bread and fruits abundantly. Unspicu veggies included bean-dahl and roasted tomatoes, both good. The price of the restaurant for dinner is about $20-$40 per meal. In Bangladesh, that is what most of the staff at the hotel probably earn in a week. My wife much enjoyed the large bathroom area, but if we weren't long married, the see-through door to the toilet would have made things a bit awkward.

Clean, functional hotel for business travelers

I always stay there for extended periods while I am in Dhaka. It is a clean business hotel in a good location. Positives: rooms are well designed, though difffer from each other, all felt bigger than their real sizes, modern, clean and bright. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffet simple but adequate. Services are good, no complaints. Most guests are business travelers, or UN aid worker types. Negatives: not much amenities.

Great staff!

A very nice hotel in a hidden location. You feel far away from the heart of Dhaka which can be a good thing and also a bad thing. Good because it is a nice quiet, respite in a bustling city. Bad because you are far from the lively parts of the city that make Dhaka so great. Regardless, the service is outstanding and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Awesome Hotel

We cannot thank the guys at The Way enough. We booked in total 7 rooms with various dates for a family event. Each room was immaculate, well maintained and the hotel is a small boutique and a welcoming place to stay.

The breakfast is outstanding with cuisine around the world. We also had lunch at the restaurant and the food is absolutely First class and so tasty.

The gym is small but it does the trick. The infinity pool is stunning especially at night and it’s great to catch rays in the morning/noon.

I cannot wait to stay at this hotel again and really look forward to my next visit.

Thank you all at The Way for making my stay, my family and my friend’s stay, so brilliant and with lots of fond memories about the trip and the hotel.

+ Unmissable breakfast - must try Egg Benedict, steaks, momos, also includes full continental, fresh fruits, juices and full main courses.
+ Gym (actually very tiny with a max weight DB 20kg and just 3 machines for cardio and a bench) - does the job though.
+ In room dining is good.
+ Rooms were mosquito free.

Excellent find, great base for all of Dhaka

The Way Dhaka is a name that was not so well known at the time of my trip, but I'm sure it will become one in months and years to come. Excellent value for a proper boutique hotel, the kind that is all too rare in South Asia--indeed, absent entirely from India's big cities. Smooth service, friendly but not obsequious, easy in and out and very fine little rooms (maybe big ones too). All of the in-room details were just so, and the upstairs dining room was a treat, day and night. Hotel staff were very helpful in arranging Uber pick-ups on request, which did make me wonder if there isn't room for a bettr way to set up an affordable ride service in Dhaka. This bit of Gulshan 2 is also an excellent base for visiting the rest of the city, traffic be damned. Thanks, The Way

Room was beautiful. Had to wait for 40 minutes at airport for other passenger who ended up being a no-show. Colleague left message for me but never got it. Arrived at 7 am and was charged for full prior night. Food was very good but wait staff could be more attentive. Lobby occasionally smelled like bug spray.

The Way is a quiet, peaceful gem that will make you forget you're in the middle of the city. The rooms are clean and modern, yet cozy and comfortable - perfect for the business traveler. Rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. If you do find that you need something, just dial zero. It will be taken care of immediately. The service is simply outstanding; from the front desk staff to the restaurant servers, you'll never have a bad experience.

Worst service you can imagine

Firstly the positive points were the hotel facilities were top notch, the rooms were luxurious and they had ok food.

Now to begin with their service, i had felt like i was an uninvited guest. Upon arrival they tell me i have no reservation and to go home. Travelled all the way from London and i hear this. since i have nowhere to stay they make me pay for everydays stay till they receive my reservation. 3 days later i find out they had given a wrong email when signing up to expedia but again they surprised me with no apologies or compliments just a 'youre free to go' comment.

Furthermore every single day, they never failed to harass the guests that came to visit me. Their manager Mr Halder was also brave enough to raise his voice against me and say im at their mercy and if I do not like their service to leave. Not to mention their electricity doesn't come back for long periods of time and the whole hotel becomes dark.

Even after hearing all the complaints not even once did i receive a complimentary drink for all the inconveniences caused or even a thank you for being their only guest in the hotel. The treatment was so ridiculous i had enough of the stay and decided to check out 7 days early from my 16 night stay. Ofcourse even that had a catch. They decided to add VAT and Optional service charge to my room service bill which amounted to £150. When i refused to pay their optional service charge they had the audacity to actually say they will not let me leave without paying

My second stay at the Way Dhaka is coming to an end. I am even more impressed this time around by room quality, staff service and food - I would state that Westin has been surpassed. Must be some of the best food in Dhaka. Not a single powercut or wifi blackout. Thorough secity check - and a very peaceful neighbourhood. Will definitely stay here again during future visits.
