Hotel Villa Covelo was a solid choice, and a great value. It is close to many beaches, and the lovely historic Combarro, and was a convenient, comfortable stop for us on our Galician road trip.
While it was not the most plush place we have stayed, everything was clean and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful and thoughtful. Would highly recommend as a good, budget-friendly option.

Fantastic Little Hotel!

Stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Villa Covelo and loved it. Friendly and helpful staff, convenient and tasty food options and a fabulous, quiet location directly across the street from the coastline with a great walk/run path along the water and only a 10-15 minute drive to the charming city of Pontevedra & 30mins from Vigo airport. Will stay here again!

A little gem and pleasantly surprised.

The location was lovely just over the road from a beautiful small quiet beach. Stayed at the hotel for an event in Pontevedra and it was the perfect spot only 10km out of town. The staff were superb - friendly, helpful and very efficient you couldn't ask for more. The rooms were spacious very clean and well maintained. We had a 2nd floor room at the front with large velux windows and great view over the bay. 1st floor rooms at the front have a balcony and if we went back would request / pay for the balcony. Rooms at the rear also have balconies but the view isn't that great. The pool was just being prepared for the season and wasn't open but again looked very well kept. The roof top terrace again had amazing views and was a real sun trap. Evening meals you have the option of bar meals or main restaurant and although limited choices it didn't disappoint. Would definitely stay again if we go back to the area.

Stay here!

This hotel is great! You must stay here if you are in the area. The staff is wonderful and the area is very cute! It's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of bigger Spanish cities like Vigo and Madrid. My experience here was excellent all the way around.

Nice hotel to base yourself and explore the area

Check in was easy and friendly. Clean comfortable rooms. Pool. Restaurant and bar with good snacks and friendly service. Limited onsite parking but a second parking area very close by. Beach 2 minutes walk. We used the hotel as a base for exploring the greater area but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Convenient but not worth the price.

For the price not great.good location and easy access but in bad need of an overhaul. Looks pretty tired and unwelcoming. Room extremely basic though large. Compared very poorly to other hotels we stayed in in Spain. Certainly not worth the price.

A comfortable stay

We had a very enjoyable 6 nights at the Hotel Villa Covelo. All of the staff made us feel extremely welcome and helped us out with everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, very clean and the beds very comfortable. Its a small point but we did miss not having tea and coffee making facilities in our room.

Sauna. Swimming pool. Excellent restaurant. Balcony. All for €50. What more could you want. The only negative concerns the village not the hotel itself. Dogs barking constantly all night. Take earplugs.

Great views

Location was good. Walkable to the beach. Cambarro restaurants only 3 km away by car. Nice sitting area and pool. A little loud outside since it is next to a road. Room was clean. Wifi was strong. Staff was very friendly and helpful with any requests we had. Stay was comfortable. Air conditioning in the room could be improved and rooms could be modernized some. Hard to beat for the price, however.

Our holiday in Galicia

This was our second stay at the Covelo and as before, it was a fantastic experience. All the staff are very helpful, along with the with the reception staff who all spoke excellent English. The hotel was spotlessly clean - the breakfasts were brilliant ! Top marks for this hotel everytime!

The location of the hotel is perfect, just by the \"ria de pontevedra\", and a small beach one block across the main road.
The room was espacious for the tree of us and very confortable, perhaps the bathroom little bit small.
They offer dinner, with excellent food and the price is very convinient.

Ok for a driveby.

Nice view, even if it is on the main road. Room ok but nothing to remember. Small bed. Nice staff. Food ok at the hotel restaurant in the evening and specially for the price charged. For a more gastonomic experience, a drive near Pontevedra you'll find a load of very good restaurants nearby.

Eine sehr schöne Erfahrung mit sehr nettem Personal.
Nähe zum Strand unschlagbar. Die Durchfahrtsstraße nervte am Anfang, aber die doppelten Schiebetüren zum Balkon schirmten den Lärm gut ab. Pool sauber und gepflegt. Bushaltestelle in der Nähe. (2 min zu Fuß)

Hotel con encanto, con parking al menos sin alta ocupación, habitaciones amplías con vistas a la ría, quizá mejorable la insonorización al estar al lado de la carretera.
Terraza/solarium muy bonito y piscina en buenas condiciones.
Amabilidad del personal un plus. Quizá el desayuno un poco flojo y caro en calidad/precio, café no expresso, zumos de polvo, variedad escasa, aún así cómodo al no haber cerca otra opción.
Combarro al lado, ogrove a 25km, Sanxenxo cerca... Muchas opciones cercanas. Playa a 100m.

El hotel en si normal, bien pero nada extraordinario, el desayuno si bien es buffet está un poco justo de opciones para mi gusto, el personal muy muy amable, eso cabe destacar. No volveríamos principalmente por el aparcamiento. Reservamos porque está especificado parking gratuito y luego de reservar recibes un mensaje de que no pueden garantizar la plaza, a los alrededores es extremadamente difícil aparcar y el hotel en si debe tener unas 15 plazas nada más que por lo que entendimos también usan los empleados. En temporada alta alquilan un viñedo que está enfrente pero que tampoco tiene mucho espacio. Como fuimos con amigos optamos por mover el coche lo menos posible para no quedarnos sin plaza, pero no era nuestra idea depender de alguien más para movernos.

El personal muy amable.
El hotel está en general bien pero las paredes son de papel y el ruido de los coches en la carretera por la noche fue insoportable. Tuve que comprar tapones para dormir el segundo día.

El acceso es complicado con niños, para ir a cualquier lugar fuera del hotel debes caminar por una carretera estrecha y sin aceras por donde los coches circulan a excesiva velocidad. No es posible encontrar tampoco un paso de peatones con lo que conseguir cruzar la calle es una aventura.

Renoviertes Hotel mit schönen grossen Zimmern; gute Ablagefläche.
Sauberes Bad mit Dusche.
Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.
Für 15 € pro Person gab es ein gutes Abendessen.
Frühstück war inkludiert und grosszügig.
Einziger Nachteil: etwas geringhöriges Zimmer.

Super hôtel, avec un personnel charmant, services de qualités, chambre spacieuse et propre. Petit bémol le parking, ils en possèdent 2, mais le premier étant souvent plein, il faut se rendre au deuxième qui se trouve en dehors de la structure et comme il n'y a pas de barrière, les gens se rendant à la plage s'y rendent aussi et donc il n'y a parfois pas de place aussi alors que le parking est privatisé pour l'hôtel. Maintenant, cela ne nous empêchera pas d'y retourner, car vraiment très bien.
