Absolutely beautiful hotel with lots of charm. Nice central location close to the pedestrian walk ways. I was super excited about the breakfasts when I booked but was slightly disappointed (waffles only one day and two days there were no \"hot\" options earlier in the morning). Overall a fantastic stay.

Beautiful older traditional looking hotel with charming and quiet rooms. Hotel is close to train station and main walking street with shops and restaurants nearby.

We took a bus from the station to get to Hafjell to ski. Very reasonably priced and convenient.
Staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a great stay!

Wonderful family room, with comfy bed, clean towels and linens, heated bathroom floor, and small welcome gifts (chocolate, playing cards).
The breakfast was good, with traditional Norwegian smorgasbord: several kinds of eggs, pastries, waffler, quality bread, fruit and yogurt, herring and both continental cheese and brunost. Tusen takk!

Dated (a bit tired), but clean and comfortable.

I have stayed here before. It’s really close and convenient for the station.

It’s nice not to be in a big chain. The hotel is rather dated and tired, but the beds are comfortable, and it’s really clean.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good.

As I said, I’ve stated before and would definitely stay again.

Best breakfast during our 2 week nordic Norwegian ski vacation. 1/2 block to train and bus station with the buses that take you to Sjusjoen, Nordseter, Hallinjdal, Mosetrtopen, Skiekampen!!!!

This historic hotel is rundown but for skiers, the location by the bus station, grocery store and ski shop makes for easy travel. Breakfast is good and beds are super comfortable but the carpeting is about 10 years overdue to be replaced!

It’s located in a centralized location near the pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants. Free parking is provided. The room is the tiniest we’ve encountered on our more than 2 week visit in Norway, therefore, difficult in which to maneuver. It was also very warm with the sun shining brightly inside it. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. I would stay here again.

Absolutely amazing hotel.

What an amazing hotel all round, staff, cleanliness, location. Perfect for walking the many trails and Olympic sites, situated in the heart of town with free parking and a plentiful hot and cold breakfast it would be difficult to find a better hotel. We had a huge superior double room on the 3rd floor with a little balcony with a view, for a 2+ night stay this was perfect. There’s a tin bath in the large bathroom and the shower had great pressure and very hot water. one of the best hotels of our trip.

Lillehammer

Great stay, decided to stay here instead of Olso Airport, will do this again. Train to the airport from Lillehammer.
Lillehammer was lovely and even gave the streets a covering of snow. As we are from Australia we loved this.
Hotel staff very helpful, found plenty of places for lunch and dinner. Nice to walk around the central area

Old hotel, elevator and stairs required to get to the room. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable, surrounding area has not much going on after 8pm.
Bathrooms tubs/shower is terrible, water leaking and coming out. Could be very slippery get in and out of shower tub.

Varslet om at vi kom sent på kveld, fikk et rom som ikke var helt klargjort og alt for lite for 3 stk, da vi også skulle bo 2 netter. Den hyggelige resepsjonisten var forståelsesfull å endret så vi fikk flyttet til et større rom. Veldig fornøyd med rommet vårt, men madrassene i sengen var altfor myk, så vi fikk litt vondt i ryggen pga det. Fikk forståelse av hotellet og de prøvde så godt de kunne å fikse på det. God frokost. Alt i alt veldig fornøyd med hotel Breiseth. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

God service og veldig hyggelig resepsjonist. Fikk sjekke inn tidlig uten å betale ekstra.
Hotellet ligger bra til i forhold til togstasjon.
Frokosten var grei, men ikke fantastisk.
Savnet rundstykker. Og var tungvint å for eksempel smør. Da man måtte ta fra en vanlig samlepakke som alle hentet smøret fra. Utrolig god og iskald appelsinjuice. Det ble noen turer for påfyll.
Senga ok.
Det mest negative var badet. Det var umulig å dusje uten at det medførte oversvømmelse på badet som en måtte tørke opp. Hvis det er slike problemer på hvert rom bør man kanskje legge inn et par ekstra håndklær.
Konklusjon. Veldig hyggelig møte med menneskene som jobbet på hotellet. Det er et hotell jeg fint kan komme tilbake til. Dusjene og badene på hotellet bør sjekkes.

Mye støy der vi låg. Rommet var ut mot veien og det ble umulig og åpne vindue og få in luft når vi skulle sove. Så ble veldig tett og dårlig luft på natta. Ellers ett kjempe hotell. Kommer nok tilbake ved en senere anledning, men da skal vi spørre om rom ned mot jærnbanen istede.
