It's a pretty basic hotel, which for the price is actually really great. They include breakfast, light dinner all inclusive, which in a place as expensive as Norway is kinda wild for the price.
Which excuses a lot of issues, namely the bed is really cheap, the mattress very saggy, room was quite hot. Everything was clean though.

Staying in home hotels is great! Don't pay extra when booking for meals because they are included! Large breakfast spread, afternoon snack and dinner. Staff were lovely and extremely friendly. One found us a free place to park which saved us a ton of money. Sadly in lillehammer nothing is on the lake but we had a decent view of the mountains and were close to the main tourist area. Definitely recommend! Would have been nice to have a safe in the room and rooms aren't huge but are more than adequate

OK - don't expect much from dinner
This seemed more like a nice motel than a hotel. The room is very dark with a small window. The dinner included was poor at best. No meat dish and the salads were not replenished quickly. Also had to get our water on our own.

Room was excellent and large and had a balcony although the hotel position is such that we had to look over the local post office to see the lovely view :) only silly thing was the light in the lounge are being positioned so low that every time you stood up from the sofa you clunked your head :)

Bed was hard and slightly uncomfortable. Pillows very soft. Very basic room. Very hot. Dinner had hardly any options especially for vegetarian. Breakfast was good. Limited fruit.

A good mid-level hotel in the heart of Lillehammer. Walkable from the station up some intermediate inclines. The reception and restaurant staff were awesome. The breakfast buffet is decent, and the included nightly meal is good quality. The sauna and gym facility are great. The standard rooms are quite small, the beds are comfortable. My only gripes - the bathrooms are tiny, with a very small shower that runs hot & cold. Also, the windows don’t open very far, so temperature at night in summer is a problem. Also, you have to ask for your room to be serviced when checking in, which didn’t bother us as we stayed only 2 nights.

I booked this hotel because it was close to the train station and hadn’t really thought much about the free dinner. But it was delicious! The 3 o’clock snack and light dinner was actually a full meal and I didn’t have to worry about eating every night! The hotel was very cozy and rooms were nice.

When we walked in, had the warmest we received a warm and professional welcome from Inga, who discussed our room preferences and assigned us room 426. As we entered our room, the door to 425 across the hall was open since the room was being cleaned; we noticed it was larger with a nice view of the mountains as well as a balcony. So, for an additional NOK 600 we upgraded - and still felt we were getting a good deal. We loved our room, although since it was hotter than normal and the room had no air-conditioning, it was warm, especially with the setting sun; the fan they gave us helped. The room was furnished very nicely and had a separate sitting area with a TV in the middle of the room that could be turned toward the couch or bed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The wifi/internet worked well. The bathroom was large and had a tub and shower (separate) as well as a countertop where we could place our toiletries.
Coffee was always available in the lobby and in our room. At 3:00, they put out complimentary cake. at 6:00, they served a nice buffet dinner, which was included in the price of the room! Coffee was always available in the lobby and in our room. At 3:00, they put out complimentary cake. at 6:00, they served a nice buffet dinner, which was included in the price of the room! Nydelig, hjemmekoslig, rolig fin atmosfære med mange fine steder å sitte på kvelden. Jeg har hittil i år ca 30 døgn på hotell. Dette er ett av de bedre å komme til. Det som er fint er alle \"krikene og krokene man kan sette seg ned og ha det behagelig i. Betjeningen er vennlig og serviceminded. Det er ikke luksuriøst men koselig, noe man setter pris på når man er på reise.Et ekstra pluss er middag på kvelden som er inkldert i prisen.

Et veldig hyggelig hotell, forstår at det heter Home hotel. Rimelig pris i forhold til at man også får middag. Maten var enkel, men god. Et pluss for kaffe og te hele dagen, og kake på ettermiddagen. Gode senger. Fint bad. Og et pluss for å slippe teppegulv. Alt helt topp, ingenting å trekke for. Til og med gratis parkering.
