No, unfortunately when we got to our room it was a tip! It hadn’t been cleaned, the bed was unmade, alcohol bottles everywhere and the bathroom was stinking!
We were asked if we wanted to wait for the room to be cleaned, or get another room, we opted for a different room, which was a down grade, we were not offered any compensation, even a drink at the bar would have been nice.
But it is a lovely hotel and nice breakfast.

Beautiful decor, very clean, lots of cosy sitting areas to relax.
Jacuzzi broken, steam room wasnt fully working, pool was very busy in the afternoon but it was midterm and it was fine for us as we had kids with us also.
Music in bar at 9.30pm
Restaurant appeared busy the whole time which i take as a good sign. We ate out.
Breakfast was pretty busy we asked for a high chair waited for quite a bit and had to ask again before it was brought about half way through Breakfast. Red sauce same story. Food was lovely, self service buffet, very fresh, also items cooked on request. Gluten free options. Very nice

Parking is convenient and free on-site. Although the property is not right in central Donegal, it was a short, comfortable walk to the center. The room and bedding was comfortable and the amenities in the room were good. There were several large groups at the hotel so breakfast was a bit hectic for the staff. I would highly recommend Mill Park Hotel if you are visiting Donegal.

The girls at the front desk during our stay need to have some further training on how to act when speaking and dealing with guests.

I asked if I could get a bottle of water or glass of water for my heavily pregnant partner, and was told to use the vending machine down the hall, (we could not locate any vending machine) our internet was also not working I called to get it fixed and was told it should be working, she then said she would ask someone - we never heard back.

It was expensive stay and the hotel overall is run down and lacks what I would class a 4 star.

We won’t be returning.

The grounds looked like they may have been really pretty but it was raining too much for us to check them out.
If you're looking to walk into downtown Donegal you might find this one to be a bit far. But the trade-off is it's quieter and probably bigger rooms and nicer amenities.
It was nice to have live music on site

We liked the location and the area. The lounge was nice and friendly. The front desk staff were very brief and not so nice which is our only complaint. We arrived at 3 pm and then told us our room would be ready in 20 minutes. We came back at 45 minutes and they were still not ready and they were rude. We came back at 90 minutes and FINALLY the rooms were ready.

Lovely hotel shame about the service

Lovely room if you want a king size bed you need to be on a junior suite otherwise they are all doubles or twins. Great darkening shades. Nice shower and toiletries. Pool was good (need a swimming hat they sell them for €3) and steam room plus jacuzzi when they worked. A sauna would have made this fantastic. Pretty busy at times. Breakfast a good buffet hot and cold wish there was more fruit. Overall it could have been 5* but the service let it down , rooms not serviced till 4pm and reception staff just did not care 3 days to get our safe working they just did not own anything. Just all hap hazard .

Lovely hotel with disappointing service

The main issue we had was with Service. In advance of our trip I had asked for a cot which was not there on arrival. When I went to reception and told them, they sent up housekeeping with one promptly. When we had arrived into our room we found an adjoining door to the next room that opened. When housekeeping arrived with the cot my husband informed them. We were told by the lady that it wasn’t a real door. ‘Just for decoration’ I think were her words. We then opened it to show her. She put the cot across the door. As they went to leave my husband asked again ‘what will do about the door’. She told us just to leave it! It made me very uncomfortable.

Upon arriving home I realised I had left my daughter’s shoe on one of the beds. I understand this was my fault, but I expected to be able to get it back by paying for the postage. Unfortunately I have been told that housekeeping don’t have it. It was definitely there, right on the bed, so clearly housekeeping just binned it. I am very frustrated.

Great hotel

The hotel has great food and all the staff are friendly and helpful. A few minor details / repairs required here and there. Wiuld highly recommend staying here if want to be close to Donegal town or as a base to explore from.

Thank you for a lovely visit. We dined twice at the restaurant!

We walked into town. It took about 10mins. Just know that you need to cross a busy round about in the process. Not a good option for the elderly or people with very young children.

Otherwise this is a great place to stay for everyone.

Just had a fantastic weekend staying at the Mill Park Hotel. Hotel room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable.
Hotel itself was spotless and also provided a wonderful breakfast.
Can’t fault the place and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Donegal

My son and I booked and paid for 3 nights at this hotel through Expedia for a motorcycling holiday. The aim was to explore the Donegal area. We received confirmation 3 days before the booking to say that they looked forward to welcoming us at the hotel.

However, when we arrived at the hotel they told us that our booking was cancelled by a 3rd party (?) a week before and that they had no availability for the 2nd night and we would need to make alternative arrangements.

The hotel's attitude was that this was not their problem because I had booked through Expedia rather than directly and that I would need to sort the issue out with Expedia.

The hotel then let us stay the 1 night but then charged us for it directly.

If a hotel wants to advertise and accept bookings via Expedia then it should not be denying responsibility whenever they are overbooked.

As a result there were no hotels available in the Donegal area and we had to instead go to Sligo.

Basically my feeling is that the hotel is happy to take the benefits of the Expedia platform but is not prepared to honour their responsibilities and will instead just say not their problem, you booked through a 3rd party.

So much for our trip to Donegal. A shambles. Thanks very much Mill Park Hotel. Disgraceful that you charged us full price for the Friday night stay despite your failing to honour our already paid for 3 night booking.
