I paid over $200 for a room that looked nothing like the photos, very outdated, dusty, with a strange smell. The AC/heating unit was rusty, dirty, and the heat didn’t work. After trying for over an hour, I called the front desk. A staff member who checked me into that room (Star) came, She tried to tell me she could hear it working, but as I was explaining that it turns off immediately and blows out cold air, sure enough, it shut off again. I pointed this out, and she admitted that it wasn’t supposed to do that. She insisted warm air was coming out when it clearly wasn’t and told me to “wait a while”, for it to heat up. I asked how long, and when she couldn’t give a clear answer, I requested another room After spending nearly two hours in a cold room already.

The new room was slightly better but still not what I paid for. When I got there, the door wouldn’t open, and one of the keys wasn’t even activated. I had to carry all my bags back to the front desk again before an older, kind employee explained that the door handle had to be turned upward to open (something I never would’ve known).

The older lady was very nice, but the woman who checked me in and handled my issues was dismissive and unhelpful. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, I was extremely annoyed, especially after having to drag my luggage back and forth multiple times and even breaking a nail in the process definitely not what I expected from a Hampton Inn.

Checked in to find someone else's pants hanging in the closet; was given another room but was unable to open the door to that room, went back to front desk and was given another room (3rd time); was able to get into room but room looked fairly clean but did not smell fresh...not one time did the front desk reception say \"so sorry, etc.\" or offer any explanation for the room situation

So checkout is at12 and at 9am we were woke to loud beating and banging in the room above us. I called front desk to complain and was told there were signs on the door that said they were renovating. Ok that’s fine but why would they rent the room directly below the renovation i am very displeased and also with the concern from the front desk!

Chairs were noticeably soiled and require cleaning. I killed one roach which gave me even more concern regarding overall cleanliness of the hotel which appeared clean in general. Although I didn't complain until checkout, my last night stay was terrible attributed to noise emanating from the room above that sounded furniture moving and constant hard walking for the majority of the night. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant!!!

Pool was nice except for the many, many cockroaches running around it. The mold and mildew growing all over the room, curtains, outlets, lightswitches aggravated me COPD terribly and my daughter got very sick the next day. Mattress was brown and smelled like mildew and was flattened on one side. The chase lounge chair was torn all apart and the stuffing was coming out, pillows looked old. The shelves were falling in the bathroom and the bathroom itself had barely any amenities, was not stocked. Parking was not ideal as only diamond members could park closely.

Great hotel

We took a vacation to Beaufort/New Bern area 4th of July. This hotel is pet friendly and very accommodating for pets. The grass area and bags for cleanup well maintained. The property is very clean, the staff very friendly and always willing to help. Enjoyed our stay. Thank You

The interior walls and ceilings need to be updated so they won't look like they've been patched up and painted over. The hardware for the barn door is rusted and furniture looked old and warn. The bed skirts need to be discarded and are very unappealing. If you have wooden bed frames they are easier to clean and more simple to maintain.

It's a...Hampton Inn! Same as countless other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. Clean, REALLY friendly front desk gal. Adjacent to a wooded park to walk our dogs. Stayed for 1 night

I booked this HAMPTON INN, due to it being a HAMPTON INN. Traditionally, Hampton’s are at the TOP of the food chain, however, this Hampton was worse than a Days Inn. It looked good in the outside, but was SEVERELY out dated on the inside. The room STUNK on the inside, the shower was dirty, the decoration on the inside was hideous. I stayed the night because other places were booked, I would’ve asked for a refund, but I was stuck. Marriott brands from here on out. This hotel should be ashamed to call themselves a HAMPTON.

Amazing stay here! The staff is so friendly from the front desk to the cleaning crew. The only downer was that you can’t stream Netflix or anything on the tv.

Up to Hilton standards

Great hotel. Super easy to find on service road. Check in was quick and efficient. Breakfast was yummy. Room was comfortable, bed, shower. Only issue is that there aren’t many restaurants nearby. There is Mexican and fast food.

Our stay was comforting and we enjoyed!

My son had a baseball tournament this past weekend after a long hot day. We arrived at the hotel around 830 pm and we were greeted with the sweetest welcome from Star. She is absolutely a star and made our stay feel like home. She is a joy and made sure that everyone not just my family had what they needed and more. We travel a lot but we dont run into a lot of people like Star. Thank you Star for allowing me to \"grocery shop\" (inside joke) for the things we needed. Our overall stay was quiet and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again Star!

When we arrived our confirmation had not came through but Angela at the front desk told me to go ahead and take my grandchild to the pool and she would let me know when it came through it wasn’t 5 min and we where all set to a great updated room with tv and air and comfy beds

As per usual the Hampton is one of my favorite places to stay, I love the room and the bed is extremely comfortable.
May room this time had a very musty smell, even using a aerosol spray never worked well. That was the only downside of this visit.

Rooms smelled like sewer, mold in the shower, hard water stains on the glass, stains on the walls, poor layout of the king suite with no airflow where the bed is. Sticker in the bathroom mentions hygiene standards- absolutely not. Owners/management is not giving housekeepers the proper tools to do their jobs to maintain this standard or they do not train their staff or follow up behind them. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

The staff was nice and the room was clean for the most part. Our only issue we had was the draining for the bath tub. 1 min into showering the tub flooded to ankle deep. Upon taking the stopper out for the tub we noticed how severely clogged the drainage was. Would recommend staying there, would just highly recommend checking the draining of the shower before settling in

HAMPTON INN - OUR HOME IN HAVELOCK N.C.

In Havelock N.C., you will not find a better stay than at The Hampton Inn. We know this, as we've stayed at the other higher rated Hotel, and although they were very nice as well, it was not as clean... I will not ever put my Wife up in a place with a rating lower than an 8.6 out of 10. It is worth the extra money, although for us on Hotels.com, it really wasn't much more, and TOTALLY worth it. Nice Breakfast also...

Usually Hampton Inns are a nice, clean place to stay. This one was not. Immediately walking into the hallway our room was off of you’re met with a terrible musty, wet dog like smell. Upon entering the room we saw why. Black mold was growing all over trim and on the pictures on the walls. The room smelled so moldy and towels were damp. Bathtub was rusty and sheets had stains. This hotel was a huge disappointment. Warning for those with allergies because of all the mold growth.
