We stayed at this Best Western on June 8-9 and selected the property because of its convenient location near Highway 401 after flying into Toronto Pearson, as well as the pool for our children.

While there were positives, including a good breakfast with plenty of options and friendly staff, our stay was overshadowed by two significant safety concerns.

The pool deck was extremely slippery. Both of my children slipped multiple times while walking around the pool area, and my youngest daughter fell and struck her face on the pool deck after losing her footing. I immediately reported this to staff, who went to inspect the area.

We also experienced concerns with the elevator doors. While loading luggage, I found I had to physically block the doors from closing, and at one point my daughter’s arm nearly became caught in the door as it closed.

As a parent, these incidents were very concerning. We specifically chose this property because it appeared family-friendly, so experiencing multiple safety issues during a one-night stay was disappointing. I hope management investigates both the pool area and elevator operation to help prevent injuries to future guests, particularly young children.

The hotel was great for what I needed it for however there was construction happening during my stay in the water was shut off almost for a whole day so it made it a little unpleasant, but otherwise it was a great hotel great Staff they served good breakfast and I would definitely stay there again.

This was a mediocre hotel at best. We stayed at the hotel because it was close to the Pan Am Centre where our kids were playing in a basketball tournament. Slim pickings in that area as far as options. If it wasn’t for the proximity, would not have stayed there for the price. Definitely high for what you get

We stay here fairly often, this was not one of the better experiences. The room smelled, likely a mix of cleaning products. Bathroom was awful. Very strong cleaning products used, then the bathroom door was shut tight and left in a room with the heat left on in warm weather with zero ability to vent the room. Took hours to cool the room down and for the smell to dissipate.

Our stay was amazing but our check-in was terrible. An Indian guy did our check in at the hotel. His name is “Rusho” or “Rushi” something like that. He was extremely rude. Not helpful and was stressing us out. He don’t even answers any of our questions properly and just wants to finish the check in as early as possible so that he can sit in the back office and play phone. Also around 9:30pm we called the front desk to inform that the AC is not turning on. Unfortunately the same guy answered the call and told us to play around with the thermostat. We even told us to send someone in the room and he rudely denied and told us to figure out by our own. Later on the same night, I went to the front desk and the night auditor was very kind and he helped us to fix the ac issue.

My only advice to the management team that all your staff are very nice except that Indian guy who did our check-in. Please train him well and make him ready for the customer service role especially at the front desk. Because of that staff, hotel will loose its positive impression and many guest will have an unpleasant experience. Please fix it. Everything else has been very good.

Breakfast was fresh, Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room temperature was comfortable. Very clean rooms. Negatives were shower pressure was low and I picked up a screw in the parking lot resulting in a flat tire. There was construction materials that weren’t cleaned up

My wife & I stayed here with our son as part of his birthday trip to the Toronto Zoo. When we arrived a the hotel, we were unaware that the property did not accept debit cards at the front desk for check-in, you must have a credit card with chip at time of check-in, which we did not have. For a brief moment, we thought we'd have to drive back home roughly 3 hours after a long day, but the hotel manager Mohammed (Hopefully I spelled that correct, I apologize if I did not!) overheard our situation and offered to work with us and offered to make things right!

Overall, great experience at the hotel. Room was very clean, beds were very comfy, my son enjoyed the couch in our \"New Home\" as he kept telling us. Pool was nice and clean, breakfast in the morning was a big hit.

We don't travel up this way often, but will definitely keep Mohammed and his team in mind if we need to stay in the area again! Thank you again to you sir for talking with us and offering a solution!

This was a fine property. The location is industrial but there is a very nice Keg steakhouse nearby, as well as a convenience store that has prepared food. The hotel also has some snacks at the front deck but no restaurant for lunch or dinner. The complimentary breakfast is decent.

The only issue for me is that the blankets were thin and there was no extra blanket in the closet.

I liked that temperature control really worked well (in some hotels it doesn't!) so i was able to adjust to a comfortable temperature due to the think blanket coverage.

Clean rooms, great staff. Only downfall I flew in for one day, called several times to request early check in, even explained the situation but could not be accommodated which was pretty unfortunate. However, the staff was able to let me use the hotel restroom to get dressed after flying in from the states. But I was disappointed that I couldn’t not get settled in the room to relax and get dressed after a hectic morning.

We were very unpleasantly surprised by our experience at the Best Western Plus Executive Inn. The price was right and location fit our needs. Our initial impression of the building was it appeared clean and well maintained. The kids enjoyed the pool area.
Our issues were mainly in our room. When we were going to sleep, we noticed our sheets/pillows smelled strongly of B.O.. Our kids were already asleep so there was no point to call the front desk for help. The other major problem was we booked based on 5 people. 2 adults and 3 kids. The room came with 2 x Queen beds and a pull out couch, which should have accommodated our needs. The problem was the pull out couch was unusable. I've never seen a pull out couch in that much disrepair. We were in room 121. I implore management to check out the mattress and see if it's even remotely usable. I promise you. It is not.
Because of this we had to sleep in a small queen bed with our youngest and there was no room for all three of us. I barely slept at all because of this. The whole point of the room was for sleep and I didn't get any. Just a sleepless night in a B.O. smelling bed.

The breakfast menu was good. It was great that you can get something to eat at 6am for people who want to check out early because they have a long trip home.
The rooms are very clean. If you need fresh towels the staff brought them right away.
I would stay there again.

Staff at front desk were very pleasant. Breakfast staff were also very nice but were not able to provide much info about food ingredients for food allergy purposes. The room seemed clean. The sofa bed was not. Cushions dirty. It was also very uncomfortable to sleep in. The hotel overall did not seem clean. Not worth the cost.

The pull out couch was less than horrible.
At 1130 pm our toilet broke. After several attempts of calling the front desk, I had to finally go and speak to the front desk.
I understand things happen unexpectedly, however I wasn’t expecting the rude service over at the front desk. Instead of being apologetic, I was told what do you expect me to do. Moving rooms at 1130 wasn’t ideal ant all.
We were switched to a different room. Only benefit was we were moved to 2 queen beds so no one had to sleep in a bed of springs!

I never leave reviews but i made time today. The facility itself was under construction so this review had nothing to do with that. The 2 star review is based on the terrible condition of the bathroom of the room they gave us. I mean it was gross. You can tell they did not clean the bathroom before we came into the room and if they did, it was sub par surface level. The bathroom walls had hair from previous guest. The lining was reddish orange so you know they didn't clean it. The floor was dirty. I mean we had to do our own wipe down. It was gross. I'm perplexed by the 4.5 stars if that was the condition of the room. Gross. I should really give 1 star but the hotel itself did not feel gross or look gross, the staff was pleasant, and I did not give them an opportunity to fix it because we did it ourselves ....but that bathroom was disgusting and the staff needs to thoroughly clean after each and every guest no exceptions.
