This is a good choice for a stop while traveling on the NY Thruway. It is also not far from Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge for anyone wanting a nice play to stay while visiting.

The property was very pretty, but the rooms were not very good. The floors in the room were wet and sticky, the fire alarm went off every time we showered, and worst of all there were bed bugs. We had booked for 4 nights and only stayed one because of the bedbugs.

It was clean and fine. Room was extremely cold upon entering but warmed up. Heat was off. In the morning however I was not able to make a cup of coffee as there was a piece missing from the little coffee maker. I then tried to go to the office a couple of times for a cup and the doors were still locked at 7:25. The driveway was also covered in black ice which was quite treacherous, even at 8:00 when I left.

Was looking for somewhere to stay the night after a concert nearby. Wasn’t expecting much as this was a motel stay. With this being said, cleanliness is something we will never settle on. Upon arrival to the room, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, although the property claims to be smoke free. We then noticed that it appeared that the room had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The bed was made but sheets had crumbs on them as if someone had been eating in the bed, floors dirty and had visible wrappers, a candy stuck to the floor and cigarette ash on the floor beside the bed when again, the property claims smoke free. The bathroom was obviously not cleaned well. We called the front desk and the guy agreed to come vacuum and change the sheets - he was pleasant. The same front desk guy was the one to come change the bedsheets for us. While he was changing the sheets he stated that their regular housekeeper was off today so someone else had cleaned the room, and he agreed he wasn’t sure if the bedsheets had been washed as they appeared dirty - disturbing to think if we had not noticed. We never did get the room vacuumed. We did not have a comfortable sleep and both felt uncomfortable and dirty all night. I travel frequently and am great at keeping expectations in check but this was out of control. Other than the first man we dealt with, staff has been very difficult to deal with when trying to voice concerns.

This is a cute little motel. It is all on one floor, so super great for people like me who have some mobility issues. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The wifi in my first room wasn't working, so they switched me to a room with excellent wifi. I needed it for work. There was a small continental breakfast in the mornings and coffee and juice all day in the lobby. The room I was in had 2 double beds and was quite spacious. It even came with a desk.
The location is a little ways away from Syracuse, but it was within a few minutes drive of Auburn. It is within walking distance of a grocery store and several small restaurants. There are hiking trails nearby for those who want to get out and stretch their legs for a bit.
The only downside was after the second night, whenever I turned the fan on in the bathroom, it would reek of marijuana. It was coming in from another room which is odd since they were all meant to be non-smoking. The rest of the hotel was nice and the people staying there were fine. I just got used to showering in the little extra light from the room.

Perfect place for Canalway trail bikers
Great place. No frills and definitely a little old, but its clean and exactly what I needed. I was biking down the canal to Albany and there’s not many places to stay on the Canalway Trail in that section, and this place is perfect if your doing the trail. It literally on the trail, there’s food and places to go within walking distance and they are very used to bicyclers staying there, I think that night there were 8 rooms occupied by bikers.

The room was cleaned. The room smelled terrible, like a moldy/damp smell. Had to go to a store to purchase air fresheners which helped a little. Found a roach trap next to the bed on the floor, maybe for preventative measures? The lamp next to the bed had only one bulb that worked which made the room very dark. The chair in the room was dirty and stained along with the desk chair. Breakfast was delicious. The motel is older and just needs some renovations.

We needed a reasonably priced motel room close to Syracuse airport. We wanted a clean, quiet room which filters out ambient light and has comfortable bed. it was all of the above. This hotel is very clean and has new amenities. including mattresses, paint and Capet. the Continental breakfast was good, adequate and the staff was friendly and excited about their motel.

I was called at 9 pm and was left a voice mail to tell me that my two rooms had been cancelled due to frozen pipes. The caller stated that they had arranged for us to go to the Red Roof Inn in another part of the town. When i called back I was told it was a mistake. I checked in as arranged at midnight. There had been a snowstorm and the walkways were covered with 3 inches of snow and ice. No attempt to clear any walkways had been made. In one room the sheets on both beds were yellow stained all over the surface of the bed. ..not just a spot. I requested new sheets and had to go to the office to get them and put them on the beds myself. The base of one of the beds was apparently broken and banged on the floor when someone would sit on the edge of the bed. The fan/light in the bathroom was rattling and was so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk in the bedroom so we used the bathroom with the light off and door open. The other room did not have a clock and the entrance door was jammed in such a way that it had been difficult to open and then would not close completely so cold air came in through the crack all night.

check in was super easy, staff at the front counter seemed friendly. no pool anymore at location. we were booked in room 100 around back on the lower level. it would appear several familes \"lived there\" by the amount of furniture they had outside their rooms from chairs to tables and everytime i went by there were several people outside. i seen up to 5 people at one point in front of 1 room. room i stayed in was mediocre not to fany looked nice at first but the more you looked the walls have been patched and painted very poorly you could see the old electrical outlets that were slathered over in drywall spackle and painted not even sanded. wall paper was painted over my room did have ants all over along the wall. room looked fairly clean but the bathtub had waterspots all over it and the base of the tub was black like they werent cleaned very well last time it was used. towels were clean bedding looked clean. nothing on the walls were straight (tv mirror, headboard for the bed) the light looked new and i think had a nightlight built in a/c worked but fan on unit was very loud. window area did have alot of cobwebs and dead bugs for a motel in a small town it wasnt to bad. resturant across the street have an amazing breakfast and pretty cheap.

This was fine for an overnight stay. It was an extra $25 for the dog which raised the price about 30% and they're not serving breakfast right now. It smelled OK and the bed was OK. It looked clean but like most motels, your socks were dirty after walking around on the floors. The cleaning staff were very nice, walking up to the front desk to return our dog toy that was left behind.

The room was average with basic commodities. Even though the online description included free breakfast, we didn't get it \"because of the coronavirus\" with no previous notice. But the worst was the housekeeping \"service,\" which we barely got, very poorly, after our requests during the two out of three-day stay.

I am not a complainer but Nothing good about this property. Really really dirty ! There’s no real maintenance done to the rooms . They had direct tv but it was raining so no television and no DVD player . I had to check for bed bugs because it was that filthy . There was water spots all over the ceiling . The bed was so freaken hard and noisy. We might as well slept on the floor . My pillow had blood on it they just threw a pillow case on it and called good . I am telling you it wasn’t pleasant. Only good thing is The water pressure was good . But tub had dirty in the bottom of it . I would pay an extra 20-30 for a better hotel . It’s okay to cut cost but seriously at least do it right . The breakfast was okay they had 3 types of cereal fruit loops , corn flakes , and Cheerios . They had just a couple of Quaker oak store bought oatmeal packets . They had coffee it was strong my husband said because iam not a coffee drinker and there apple juice but it was so watered down :( . They did have a waffle maker which was good . They had toast and danishes but they didn’t refill anything so it was slim picking . But the breakfast was just okay better then the room we slept in :) . But I think they should extend there breakfast hours . People are on vacation and want to sleep in a little . Over all once again if your not looking for a clean hotel that’s not kept up this would be okay but it wasn’t for me exp. with the bloody pillow . And the air conditioner didn’t work at all !
