This was an extremely nice property, except for some minor inconveniences. A bunch of local kids and their families were staying at the exact same time and the staff did very little to stop the kids for running all over the halls, knocking on doors and running away at 10 pm. The pool, which is the whole reason we booked this location was closed. It did end up opening, but only for an hour and a half. The website says it’s open till nine however, they close it at eight on a Saturday. We also requested extra towels which the staff was too busy to get us at the time, but said they would have somebody deliver them to our room which they never did. the bathrooms doors don’t have locks and have sliding barn doors with toilets that sit very close to the ground. Our shower didn’t drain very fast and the whole bottom of it had a bow so once you started to use any soapy products, it made it very hard unless you were standing sideways. All in all the hotel could be a great place, but there were definitely inconveniences.

From the mom and I arrived on Wednesday nights, the staff was super accommodating. Giving me a few extra incentives as well as making some changes to the reservation so that I was comfortable during the entire stay. I even got a couple of texts throughout my stay to make sure that everything was great. The breakfast is amazing and the room is spotless.

We were there in Room 511 from Tuesday through Friday morning, and only requested room service once. Cleaner vacuumed one room, but not the other, and did not take all the garbage out. OTHER than that, everyone was courteous, breakfasts were great, hotel was clean.

We are both fairly handicapped, and would strongly suggest that all rooms have a grab bar for the very low toilet and one bar INSIDE the shower on a wall.

No breakfast was given hotel was disgusting. The room was extremely dark and had to use flashlight. Wasted 30$ in gourmet ice cream. Cause the freezer in room didn’t freeze. Bathroom door wound not shut and crack in bottom of door. The halls smelled like mold and very musty. Half of the elevators were out of order. So was a struggle finding Ada . Was a group

Clean spacious room. Courteous staff, especially front desk and the Breakfast Room ladies. Two weeks ago when we stayed we expressed our concern about the low toilets as my wife has had a knee replacement and is waiting to get her other Knee done. Anyways the lady on the desk changed our reservation on the 12th to an accessible room which was great. The room was on the first floor which was a plus as my wife has a fear of heights and on our last stay we were on the top floor with the glass wall facing the court yard and pool which didn't go over well.

Comfortable beds and every staff member we interacted with was great! The room was clean and everything worked. Unfortunately they used really cheap doors that don't quite fit the frames. Any noise in the hallway comes right into the room. We had a room that connected to another, and there was about an inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. We heard every word, cough, laugh, baby cry, etc, from that room as clearly as if they were sitting at the end of our bed. Thankfully nobody was staying up all night but it made the room feel a lot less private. (By contrast, there was zero noise from the room on the other side!) Convenient location and good price but staying here is a bit of gamble, depending on how well behaved your neighbors are.

Stayed on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Nicole and TJ at the front desk were both very friendly and helpful and fun. Nicole was extremely knowledgeable about the area attractions and restaurants in Auburn and Skaneateles. Her suggestions were spot on.
The breakfasts were amazing and worth adding on to the booking. Thursday a.m. we requested breakfast to go because a snow storm had started and we wanted to get going before it escalated. Brenda and Mindy were excellent both days and got everything packaged including napkins utensils and condiments Thursday am.
The suite worked out well for the 3 of us. We did ask for extra towels, which TJ gave us while we were at the front desk.
There were 2 sinks which was great but the one outside the bathroom didn't have a wastebasket- requested one but never received it. We had to ask for and and did get soap for that sink as well.
Very good shower! Very Low toilet- yikes on first seating!
Would stay there again.

Checking in took over 15 minutes. The building was run down and dirty. The heat in our room didn’t work. We even read the directions on the thermostat and it continued to blow cold air. It was really noisy downstairs to the point it woke me up after 11pm. Very unimpressed. I will never return to this hotel again. Definitely not worth the money.

The staff was helpful but this is a very old hotel that was remodeled. It's in ok shape. The elevators sounds scary so I took the stairs. The price per night is way too high for what this property has to offer. It should be about half of that.

Requested a king bed. Room had two double beds. No comfortable chair. Bathtub instead of a shower. All that said. The price was reasonable. Breakfast although it was not free was excellent and the hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. I would stay at this hotel again.

The room that I checked into had pluming issues with the bathtub. After I brought it to the attention of the staff on duty, she went above and beyond to relocate me and my daughter into another room. We planned a family trip and thought it would be easier to stay at a hotel instead of having so many family members in one household. I am so pleased that we did so, even though it was an additional expense it was worth every penny. The kids had a blast swimming, they enjoyed telling the staff members about their day, and receiving a positive response back. Most important having breakfast for free (12 and under eat for breakfast free with a coupon the Holiday Inn provided us).The kids thought that was the best ever and they had several options to choose from, they loved the scrammed eggs with cheese.
The room was very clean, the service was amazing, the staff was always helpful and acknowledged us every time we walked through or out of the door whether it was to welcome us or to tell us to have a great day. All around best experience ever. I am very happy we chose the Holiday Inn for our trip to Tennessee as well. Can't wait till September.

A humongous thank you to all the staff members for making our trip a memorable one. Warm welcomes always make any trip an amazing trip.

Lost staff of Auburn

I got to the hotel for check in around 8:05 PM. I waited at the front desk until about 830 when the clerk finally came to check us in. The bartender on staff closed the bar without even checking in on us to see if we needed any help or if he could help find the staff member to check us in.

We ordered dinner prior to getting there and ended up eating the dinner in the lobby as we waited for the staff to show up. I tried calling multiple times in hopes the staff member had a way to answer the phone away from the desk or someone else would pick up.

When we got to there room there was a significant water spot on the ceiling above one of the beds.

We took our son swimming and because the staff member was no where to be found he had little to no time to swim after we checked in and got to our room. They were quick to make sure we were out of the pool by 9, but had no issue making us wait for 25 minutes to check in.

A perfectly fine place to stay

This was a fine hotel. It's an older building that's showing its age in places, but it's kept well. The open pool area makes the whole building a bit humid, which I think is to blame for the carpet in my room feeling a bit damp all the time. The hotel breakfast is not complimentary, and it's not fast - I think they should give up on the made-to-order concept and just serve a complimentary buffet-style breakfast like most other hotels of this caliber. Other than that, it was a perfectly fine place to stay for a work trip and I would return provided the price is competitive. The location is near downtown where there are a number of great restaurants. Ample parking, but not necessarily close to your preferred door unless you get lucky.

Overpriced. The ONLY thing that was remarkable was the staff, everyone I interacted with was quite wonderful. Everything else was sub-par.
Dinner menu at the “restaurant” was minimal at best. Free WiFi with stay? I shut my WiFi off because everything buffered while using it. Yes, you have local cable, but it’s 2025 and no Smart TV? Bathtub had hair in it when we checked in. I paid LESS for a stay 2 weeks ago with another company in a similar town, had a suite, kitchenette, bedroom, living room and huge bathroom. Restaurant menu for lunch & dinner was elaborate, breakfast was included and was MTO or buffet style, or a mix of both. Not sure how this establishment can justify the price.
