It was a mixed experience. When we arrived it was clearly understaffed as one lady at the desk was managing all of us, including a youth hockey team and a fairly rude customer. However, despite that, she handled it like a champ! I was very impressed with her service. We also ended up being checked into a room that had not been cleaned (housekeeping neglect, which I gathered may be a common occurrence). But, when I brought this up with the lady up front she was very apologetic and moved us into the next room and also gave us a discount for the trouble.

In summary, it was a good stay, and the property and amenities were fine. It seems that the staffing schedule could use a couple more people for help, and that the housekeeping needs to pick up their socks, but the service we did receive was spectacular! She fixed and adjusted every inconvenience we did face, at her own expense and inconvenience, despite it being the mistakes of others.

All said and done, it ended up being a good stay.

P.s. The breakfast was good and I loved the waffles!

Appalling how dirty this place was. Ants crawling and dead all over the room. Pool was so disgusting our kids were even too grossed out to go in. Toothpaste on bathroom counters. Dont think the floors have been cleaned in several weeks if at all.

Asked to be moved to another room due to filthy room. Next room better but floors had obviously not been properly cleaned in some time. Spilled a little water and went to wipe up and cloth was black from filth!
Gentle man working at front desk was very apologetic and kind. He was the redeeming quality of this stay.

The staff were all so nice. We arrived close to 9pm and the clerk was still very welcoming. The breakfast helper was also very very friendly. We booked through expedia for a great price and were so delighted to find out breakfast was included! The breakfast room is very nice, not an after thought. The breakfast had waffles, scrambled eggs, pork sausages, 2 kinds of cold cereal, yogurt, english muffins, toast, a small selection of fruit and all the fixins like pb and jam and ketchup. The location was easy to find and quick to get back on the highway. We would definitely stay here again. They do the Best Western name proud!

This is our third stay here since May 2025.
It's extremely convenient and the staff and accommodations are great.
Check in has been seamless and the eating options are great. Several gas stations nearby so you can pick and choose.

We feel so comfortable coming here, that we plan on using this hotel as our go too when we pass through Salmon Arm regularly.

Check in was good, we got to our room and unpacked, we had to leave for an appointment so didn’t settle in right away. Once we came back we noticed the room was terribly dirty. Furniture hadn’t been moved, dust and dirt along the floor, old popcorn, chips, wristbands, hair and cobwebs in most corners. Hair in the sink, garbage in the garbage. Just not clean.
We’ve stayed here several times over the years this was way lower standard of cleanliness than before.
When I spoke to the front desk upon check out there was little acknowledgment and no resolve or composition offered. When travelling with a small child you want things clean and safe.
Not sure we’ll be back.

Great pet friendly hotel. This hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are very large and they provide a free breakfast which includes scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, toaster, yogurt, cereal (hot and cold), etc.

The staff are friendly and the hotel has several nice, clean grassy areas for dogs complete with convenient garbage cans. Out back is a designated smoking area with ashtrays.

There is a pub within the same parking area and a Starbucks. Gas stations with convenience stores across the street. It felt very safe and clean and I willl definitely stay here again. Very impressed.

We booked this place because it was part of the Best Western chain. We did not expect to go into very dated rooms. The pictures we saw on hotels.com did not do justice to the room. The room smelled like stale smoke. Even though they probably haven't been smoked in in years. The carpets need to be changed out. The bed was made neat and there wasn't any dirt in it which was good. We checked for bed bugs, nothing there. Complimentary breakfast was basically the same thing everyday.. there was no variety like some other places do but that's not a big deal. But the thing that really got me were the dishes. We pointed it out to the poor lady working and she said that it was the dishwasher filter needed to be cleaned. But even after us pointing this out, we returned the next day and the day after and still found the dishes to be dirty even after coming out of the dishwasher. And it was like management didn't want to do anything about that. I don't blame the server. I don't blame the workers but I really don't want to eat off of plates that has sprayed dirt all over it. And it wasn't just one dish on top. We would pick up piles and it would be reoccurring throughout the stack. The pool didn't look like it had been cleaned properly either. We only did one swim. I couldn't go back. The lounge chairs in the pool area sunk so far down they weren't comfortable at all. I tried to find alternative accommodations within the first night but as this was a weekend we were unable to.

When you book a pet friendly room through expedia make sure you call the hotel once it’s booked because apparently the hotel doesn’t get told you booked a pet friendly room. Thanks to Jerry, the amazing night clerk, we were able to get a pet friendly room but it was the last one. So thank you Jerry but word to the wise, call the hotel to confirm your booking criteria.

This is our 2nd time staying at this motel.
It is convenient and clean, good breakfast.
Only one complaint is on our check out morning, we were disturbed 2 times by housekeeping trying to open our door and knocking the door almost angrily, both times before 10am!
