The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and seriously the best continental breakfast we’ve experienced at a hotel. The only downfall was the hotel attendant at check-in; quickly after arriving we realized that the shower didn’t drain (almost at all) so my husband phoned to request a room change, he was told to come to the desk and the given the run around about “not understanding English”, so my perfectly bilingual spouse flipped to French at which point he was told the system was resetting so no new key card could be made for 15 minutes, we understood and said we’d wait, but then were asked if it’s really that big of a deal/ why we need a new room - um sir, we are a family of four with small children who will certainly be in the pool so we need to be able to shower without flooding the bathroom!? We eventually did get the new room, but the whole interaction left much to be desired.

This is a very nice, clean place to stay. They have lots of helpful staff and they are always working to keep the hotel clean and things in place for the guest.
The internet is a bit slow but does work.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times coming back and forth from Moncton to Ottawa and it never disappoints.
From friendly staff, delicious hot buffet breakfast to the cozy little bar where you can enjoy drinks and pizza and most of all the comfy sheets to enjoy a good night sleep where we always get a room on the 4th floor.
Close to restaurants and gas station etc.

. First and last time there. The room wasnt ready when we got there. Had to wait an hour. And then the floors were all wer. All the mirrors and so dirty. Was in a handicap unit. And couldnt park in my spot. Had to walk pretty far to my room. Also was there for 2 days. And someone went into my room while i was gone. They left a new quart of lowfat creamer in our fridge. And when i told the desk about this. She said no one was suppose to go into your room. Well no kidding. Said the manager would call me after she spoke with him. Never herda thing! I got ripped off. Never again. Dont stay there.

Excellent hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was your average buffet-style. Pool area was very small and crowded with small children and families. I will note that the hotel is undergoing construction which resulted in very early morning hammering which was not pleasant. Otherwise, would highly recommend. Staff very friendly. Having also stayed at the Days Inn, for the same price, this was a much better option. Amenties are much better.

A few things left unclean, (Bathtub and night table area near the beds)

We were in room 400 and the king bed on the left was very uncomfortable.
Bed was caved in from the middle, had to sleep at an angle all night.

During breakfast, staff had a bit of attitude, kept on the kids to not touch anything, when they were just grabbing item to eat.
Found a hair in the scrambled eggs

When we arrived we were told that there were no baggage carts left since apparently leave them in their rooms. When I asked the front desk how was I supposed to carry my luggage up to the third floor all I got was a shrug. I then contacted customer support at Best Western the agent tried to phone the front desk but no one was answering. The agent then told me to ask the front desk for help. My husband and I then carried the luggage up to the third floor using multiple trips. I give them a zero star for service. The overbite stay was OK but there was noise in the hallways past 1030pm and the heater in the room was loud enough to keep you awake. The breakfast was really good with a good selection.

We had no hot water, and worse the staff were indignant that I complained. The pancake/waffle machine was broken and so was the kids slide in the pool. I think this was a poor choice of hotel unfortunately. The lack of hot water apparently was a maintenance issue that was to be fixed. However that's a fairly important missing feature for a room, and for the staff to be less than helpful about it, was insult to injury.

Many things could be improved.
Hotel was booked through Expedia. Website indicated daily housekeeping, but that wasn’t the case. Be aware that the hotel doesn’t provide housekeeping at all during your stay. This can be a limiting factor when staying multiple nights. We were there for a total of 4 nights. We were not advised of that fact at check-in. All hotels we’ve been to since the pandemic are back to cleaning rooms! I do not think it’s normal to have to ask for basic things such as toilet paper when staying in a hotel. If no housekeeping will be done in 4 nights, a hotel should anticipate that guests will most ikely need more basic things and stock up rooms appropriately. For example, 2 rolls of toilet paper, each half used will not be enough for 2 people who will be staying a total of 4 nights. It’s common sense. Many other hotel guests were asking front desk for towels and toilet paper.
Also, a proper greeting and a little more interaction with guests from the person at check-in would make a big difference. It just looked like the person didn’t want to be there.
Rooms have been renovated and do look nice. However, they are not soundproofed and the hotel doesn’t seem to keep up with the maintenance. USB plugs on the night table were not working. One side of the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off. It would’ve been very easy to screw it back on during a housekeeping visit.

Only issued we had they won’t allowed our kids to play minor hockey at the end of the hallway were all that end rooms wings were ours and it was early afternoon

They should put hockey team on main level & let them

We saw some playing on 3rd floor and they let them play

Plus I asked months before arrival to get a conference room & they told us they were all reserved all weekend but one night one was empty

Also don’t let your kids go in the hot tub its been 2 years in a row that 4-5 kids get sick the next day we arrived with strep throat, pink eyes, throat infection, etc

Beside this the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, very nice decorated for Christmas. They have a bar, a gym, a pool.

We took the suite with stove & kitchenette so we could cooked all weekend it was nice only issued there I booked (I saw it on my pictures) room looked bigger AND had a sofa bed
Upon arrival only a king size. Only thing she said « you can rent a cot for 10$/a night. Didn’t offered it free. And told me you booked with 3rd party sometimes their publication is false. Like really? Never happened before anws & I also saw an open door next to ours that look like picture I saw & look like it should of been the room I booked.

Room great size but noisy, full of hockey teams. Kids runny up and down the halls. I have 3 kids myself so we are used to noise but this was extreamly noisy. The pool had no clean towels, beer cans were left everywhere inside pool area. Wet, dirty towels all over. The water slide wasn’t working and that’s what my kids were looking forward to the most. This is our usual stop 2-4 x per year when we travel from QC but maybe will consider trying another spot next time.
