The staffs were rude and unhelpful, we paid rooms with breakfast but the staffs said our rooms did not have breakfast included. We showed them our reservation form which clearly states that we have free breakfast included but they didn’t bother at all.

Even the agent from hotels.com can’t get them to do anything and have to refund us for the breakfast fee after our stay.

Amazing hotel rooms and common areas, a true museum ! Breakfast was excellent, service was excellent. I have not visited the spa so I cannot speak towards it. There are 2 things that really bothered me. I booked and paid 2 nights in the suite which had a king bed and a sofa bed . At booking time I marked 2 adults and a child 6 years old. When I checked in I asked to prepare the sofa bed and the manager promptly asked for extra 12 Euro ! I said that is why I booked the suite and she said that she has sent an email “
Hello,
Do you need extra bed for child?” The email was sent in the afternoon and I was driving for about 3 hours . I checked the email only when she told me about it . Anyway, I have never been asked about extra pay for the bedding, neither have I seen the requirement while booking . Nevertheless it was very annoying and spoiled my vacation mood . The second aspect that warrants improvement for such a visually appealing hotel is the procurement of higher-quality mattresses. Additionally, it would be beneficial to consider replacing the two adjacent mattresses with a single king-sized mattress.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! We had 2 rooms booked, 301 and 308. I was accommodated together with my 8 y old son in room 301, Josephine. As soon as we entered the room, we were greeted by a very uncomfortable chill and a terrible noise —clearly, the ventilation system was not functioning properly. Despite my attempts to adjust the thermostat and contact the front desk for assistance, the ventilation issues remained unresolved throughout my stay.

To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was incredibly rude and disappointing. When I approached them to address my concerns about the cold room, I was met with disrespect and a lack of support. It felt like my complaints were being brushed off, and I was left to fend for myself and my child in a very cold and uncomfortable environment. Bathroom ventilation, that was working like a drilling machine, could stop only when disconnecting the entire room from electricity. When electricity was back, it was starting again. When I indicated I cannot sleep in that temperature and noise, reception staff indicated I should exchange room with my parents, who were accommodated in the other room we booked, if I want to not sleep in cold. Alternatively that I should leave the hotel. It was 23.45 h and I was with a young child, in a room I paid for in advance. I was astonished.

Overall, my stay was marred by poor room conditions and unhelpful staff. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and supportive hotel experience.

Generally the hotel was good, but we chose it in the first-place because its mentioned that they provide a variety of spa services which wasn't the case, anything related to their spa was closed which was very disappointing to find out when we checked-in and we would have chosen a different hotel if we knew it prior to our booking. Besides that it was a nice experience.

This was our first time at this hotel. Ms Claudia and Mss Diana at the front desk reception were both accomodating and great inkeepers. There IS 24 hour front desk reception. This is a SUPERB hotel in a very great location in the Centre. The breakfast was great. The rooms were ultra clean. Folks, it does not get any better than this. When you meet Claudia and Diana, you will of course SMILE because they want you to be comforta ble and relaxed while you stay at this venue.

Lovely hotel in the city centre

Mercure Sighișoara Binderbundi is a very ornate hotel literally 5 minutes walk from the walled Citadel of Sighișoara and all of its attractions. The hotel has large comfortable rooms with large en-suites that are spotlessly clean. With free on site parking and exceptionally helpful staff. While we didn't take advantage of the hotels restaurants for our evening meals the variety of food available at the buffet style breakfast was extensive.

Charming local country hotel. I gave it 4 stars for comfort because the air conditioning did not work and the bathtube/shower side walls were so high it was dangerous to step over safely. The included breakfast was a lovely and extensive buffet for a country hotel; well done.

perfect location

we travelled to Romania and stopped by in Sighisoara for 2 nights only. The room has been very spacious & the design looked very traditional. The spa area contains a whirl pool and two saunas. The breakfast buffet offered a rich selection of different food. ....and the best: it is located very centrally, only a few steps away from downtown

The hotel would be excellent, but it seems to attract large busloads of organized tourists, who are loud and rude, taking over the entire place and destroying any enjoyable atmosphere the hotel could have

Quite disappointing from Mercure this one. Firstly, the building itself, beautiful inside and out and in good order, but it's located in some scruffy, unfinished side-street. It's very close for reaching the Old Town area by foot, but if you're infirm, or you're driving a hire car that you don't want to get scratched from the stones, potholes and gravel, you'll probably not want to be spending much time on that road.
Interacting with the staff, whether checking in or trying to get a drink, I seemed to be such an inconvenience to them. The hotel was very quite while I was there and I got the impression they had decided that they wouldn't need to do much work that day.
When I was checked in, the staff member told me there was a spa available, however when I went to use it I found it locked up and in darkness with no staff around, which was disappointing as I would have like to have used it.
Nothing wrong with the room itself, clean and in good nick. I'm sure you could do worse than this hotel for but me it was a poor experience on this occasion.

Cancelled my booking with only a few days to go. After lots of frantic back and forth admitted they made a mistake but no mention when we checked in. Also we got there 20 mins early. No offer of drink or apology for 'misunderstanding'. Room was ok but this is not 5 stars not even close. That said it's a good location to the town.

The hotel is well located, and has a good car park. Our room was very nice, but had a very small window. Although the room was spacious, it was obvious that fixtures and fittings were a little on the cheap side, with appearance seeming to be more of a priority than quality. For example, the shower was small and 'budget', and didn't have even the smallest of shelves to place shampoo or shower gel bottles. The bathroom was also a little smelly, and I advised the management they needed some bleach down the drain holes because it was obvious the smell was coming up from them.

Staff were OK on check in. A kettle and coffee/tea was available in the room but the cleaner had left no milk. I informed staff we needed milk and when we got back to the room four hours later none had been delivered. I then waited ten minutes at reception without even being acknowledged by staff until I had to be quite forceful about getting milk made available. I must add that the quality of the coffee was obviously the cheapest available, and only strawberry tea bags were supplied. Again, just an indication of appearance over quality.

Having said all that I would still recommend the hotel but must add that you shouldn't expect the service or quality that the star ratings would have you believe.

First-rate hotel in Sighisoara

My husband and I loved BinderBubi! The style is Bavarian, with great attention to detail. The woodwork in the lobby is beautiful. Our room was huge and beautiful, and it included a sitting room. The hotel is set just off the main street, so it is quiet. However, it is within a 10-minute walk to the medieval city.

The waiters in the restaurant were so helpful, and the chef must be highly trained, as all three meals we had there were superb. The cream vegetable soup is delicious. For dinner, I loved the chicken with bacon and a cream sauce and leeks; and my husband's rump steak was excellent. We were only sorry we had just one night there. Would definitely return!

Absolutely my favorite hotel I visited in Romania! It's a beautiful building and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The spa was wonderful and the massage there was one of the best I've ever received. The room itself was comfortable and nicely furnished, and it's noteworthy that the bathroom was unusually spacious by European standards. I can't say enough good things about the breakfast, too. So many tables of delicious foods - bigger than almost any other breakfast buffet I've seen. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it again! Sighisoara is lovely, but it was BinderBubi that made it my favorite stop in Romania.

I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Sighisoara. It is very clean and comfortable. Also, the breakfast was great! While it is not "in" the old town, it is about 4 blocks away. It is worth the walk.
