The cabin was amazing, so much nicer than we’d expected for the price.

What a lovely stay we had, the service was great, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We booked a suite and it was great, clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant, food was freshly cooked and good quality. Service again was impeccable.

Check in was quite late at 4 pm and check out was too early at 10 am I had no time for a lay in and breakfast.
Breakfast was awful the one person was doing her best but because of the early check out everyone was having breakfast at the same time. This meant that food ran out and long waits.
It really was disappointing indeed.

The hotel was quiet for sleeping, the only negative was the tiny car park which was full on check in and then again when we returned at night. Huge ground so no idea why this can’t be extended. We stayed in Room 403 ( annex) ground floor and had the worst night sleep. Bed was very hard, room was stuffy and the sound proofing was poor meaning with the people staying above us, we were kept us awake most of the night with talking, walking up and down etc. we asked to move for the second night. This was to Cabin #4. This was ok but there was loud music (Saturday night) that again kept us awake until 3am. Would not recommend if you want a restful nights sleep.

The property is lovely with lot of open spaces which is maintained well. The spa and pool area is exceptional. The rooms are dated , especially the one we stayed in and the dinning experience could be better. The food is average at the best but the bar tender is very talented and served us some great cocktails. If they redecorate the rooms and improve the dinning area and food, this could be an exceptional property.

Booked this hotel in March as we were attending an event and coming from Cornwall . When we checked in we allocated a lodge instead of the room in the hotel we had booked. This was away from the hotel and dated and tired looking. It was for a self catering holiday for a family. My husband went back to reception and they managed to move us to a room in the hotel but it was available for only one night of our trip so we ended up checking out the following morning. Jonah, on reception, was extremely helpful in trying to resolve the issue. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff very friendly.

Nice hotel, bar & restaurant - handy for Cadwell

I was at a race meeting at Cadwell Park and stayed here again. I stayed here a couple of years ago and liked it. Nice grounds. Swimming pool. Bar & restaurant.
Check-in was quick. Room was fine, but shower very weak and no bottle of water provided, but a small kettle is. Only one towell provided, and you are expected to take that to the pool aswell. No towells provided at pool. The steam room wasn't working either.
The bar is fine - bar menu is also good. Madri lager beer on draft. Can sit outside aswell, when weather nice. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel has nice staff.
The car park isn't big enough. And spaces are close, so a worry about doors banging.
Usual question - would I go back? It's a firm 'Yes'. Thiose few small items are acceptable as reasonably priced and handy for Cadwell.

Hotel with pool and golf near Louth

I had booked a hotel room for a 3 night stay whilst working at Cadwell Park BSB. On arrival, I had been given a Lodge. Whilst most would probably consider this as an upgrade, for myself this was less convenient. On returning from a days work I find it easier to get a quick bite to eat and then continue working. Not have to walk to and from one of the lodges to do this. If I had been told in advance of this arrangement then I could have arrived with food and drink to be self sufficient. Because of the times I was leaving for and returning to the circuit the on site shop was closed and there is nothing you pass on the way. The lodge was spacious and well equipped, just wasted on me I am afraid so I didn't get any benefit from the upgrade.

Wonderful hotel and grounds - excellent stay.

We stayed one night. We had a family room with two very comfortable double beds - one each. We were in a small annexe at the side of the main hotel building - there was no indoor connection between the buildings. So, take note, check your booking, if you want to stay in the main hotel building. Particularly, if you are staying more than one night. The annexe rooms are newly renovated and very nice. The hotel restaurant is excellent food at reasonable prices - around 17 pounds main course. The atmosheric bar has open views. The brand new swimming pool and leisure centre is amazing. State of the art indoor jacuzzi, outdoor hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sauna room, ice room, warm relaxing room. All included in the room rate. Lovely grounds. All in all, an excellent stay.

Last minute booking which turned out to be really

This is a really nice hotel. I booked it at short notice. The room was huge (208). Very comfortable bed and room was quiet.

Fantastic pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and there is also an ice room (Brr, not for me). We decided to have an evening meal and both enjoyed it. I had the steak which was really nice. They do a sauce called Axle Jack. That is just out of this world. All in all very nice stay and a hotel thatbI would certainly go back to.

Lovely hotel but room was a let down

The grounds are lovely. The staff and food at the restaurant were excellent. Loved the pool, nice a warm. The spa area looked good but we didn’t try it as we had a child with us.
The room was a let down. It’s very dated. The furniture looks like it’s from the 80’s the shower was incredibly old looking but was nice and powerful.
There was a wedding going on in the function room and we couldn’t hear the music in our room which was great.

Toilet didn’t flush properly, sink very slow draining.
Furniture in room 102 was very dated & scuffed.
Fire alarm went off 3 times midnight-3am-5:30.
On checking out the receptionists said “oh sorry but you would want it to work if there was a fire “
There were 3 rooms checking out at the same time & we asked for compensation as we did not get much sleep….
No chance !!!
She just said sorry !!!

The property is perfectly located for Cadwell park circuit with easy links to Louth for dinner etc. however the hotel is tired not all rooms have air conditioning or a fan to help. The water pressure in the shower is weak and makes it difficult to get all the soap off.

I have stayed at this resort many times and it always serves me well.
Set in beautiful grounds on a lovely golf course with splendor of wildlife, landscape and flora, even the hardest to please couldn't crack a frown at this retreat. The building is charmed in character, the staff at utmost professional and efficient, the spa, pool and gym facilities are second to none.
As for the rooms, they are spacious, nicely decorated and furnished to high standards with full AC and blacked out curtains, the restaurant is lovely and the bar and adjoining garden area where you can also eat is well manicured and has a fantastic vista. You will not be disappointed and the vfm is incredible.

We sadly got a room that hadn’t been redecorated for about 50 years. It was unlike any photo on Expedia, so was misleading. We didn’t pay a lot of money for the room but it was still not good value for money nor looked like the photo I clicked when I booked. The bathroom was dated and there was mould with a funny old smell to it. The corridors and the rest of the property had been refurbished and are very good. I assume that many rooms have been refurbished and are to a good standard. The facilities and location are very good. Our room however was in a poor state and it wouldn’t take much to make better.

When I arrived I had an online business call. The WiFi wasn’t good enough for a video call. My phone reception in the room wasn’t brilliant either.

Having said all this, we didn’t pay loads for the room £88. Although probably only worth £60-£65 for the room we got. It did however do the job for 1 night.

We had a large room with sofa and a huge bathroom. We overlooked the garden and were above the patio. It was quite noisy with people chatting outside and smokers. Food was good. Staff friendly. It was Bank holiday and there was a wedding party staying there. Breakfast was chaos the poor staff couldn't keep up with demand. The management should have put extra staff on duty. Commendation to Phillis who kept her cool and had a friendly attitude.

The staff and the grounds were lovley. Spa was excellent.

The rooms in hotel however were probably worst Ive been in my whole life. Rooms appear to have been decorated around 30 years ago. Bathroom felt so dirty that it was hard to use. Insects were running around the bathroom. Inexcusable. If you cant keep a bedroom in hotel clean and modern its probably best to close it.

Cleaners clearly did their best with what are very run down guest rooms.

Its a shame as surroundings staff and spa were excellent.

A gem of a spa

We have stayed here a few times now. The redecorated rooms are absolutely lovely. The staff, so polite. The spa, perfect for some down time. Highly recommended. The only thing I would change, is the menu. It would be nice to see more fine dining menu, rather than a typical pub meal. Although, the food was very nice. A perfect cooked steak. Easy to find on a main road. Entrance well signpoted even in a heavy storm. Check in formal and polite, on check in asked for a table for dinner options very limited from receptionist making the excuse of a wedding. We rushed to get to dinner, we still waited almost an hour for starters to arrive, we could have had a bit more time to get ready. Food was perfect when it arrived sort of worth the wait. Both starters and main.
Breakfast food was good, the staff member greting us was impersonal to say the least. Quality was ok.
Room was nicely presented but had an electric stand alone heater, it took an age to warm the room. The bay seating area was a little dysfunctional. We wanted to use the pool but as we could not in the evening looked at the morning the pool was not available until after check out.

The rooms were excellent, beds and the amenities were great.
The hotel reception staff were fantastic and very friendly.

Only downsides were that the sink was clogging from the start in our en suite sink and the restaurant staff were rather rude.
We went to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day.

During dinner we had the sit extremely long for our drinks and even longer for our food.
The mocktails we were given were very small even though the staff blamed our long wait time on these mocktails!

Breakfast isn’t worth the £10 as the food is stale and lukewarm.

The property & grounds were beautiful.

There was a wedding on during our arrival, and as we entered the bar, we were in the middle of the guests gathering. Very unorganised and not a nice feeling - felt like we were interrupting a wedding instead of enjoying time away.
The bar staff were rude, ignorant and stood talking about their personal life’s when people were stood waiting to be served.
Breakfast, the food was lovely. However, again, the wedding party were mixed between a room, and the bar/conservatory room where the breakfast was served. Hearing them complain it wasn’t personal, again made us feel unwelcome and crashing the breakfast!
This made us rush and want to leave to allow them to enjoy there morning after.

Great reception and breakfast staff. Bathrooms a little dated and air condition investment would be nice.

Very pleasant stay, rooms and beds comfy otherwise. Enjoyed the welcome.

Wet dog smell and loud volume from bar

Booked a suit. On opening the door I could immediately smell wet dog. Also I could hear sounds from the bar and reception as my room was directly above both. I went back to reception to ask to change rooms but no other rooms were available. I opened both windows to my room to try to remove the wet dog smell. But the sound of drunk golfers outside the bar below was louder than my iPad volume ( the tv did not work). I had to close the windows again.

Twin room - but double beds. Bed was comfortable. Although room a bit dated it was large, light and clean. the shower room was modern with good sized cublcle.
