Great location. A variety of choices were available for breakfast. The staff were very helpful, polite and accommodating. Shuttle bus to Canton Fair was a great convenience. Rooms looked a little old, and there were unfortunately some customers who smoked despite the hotel being non-smoking.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. Great amenities, such as the gym, daily breakfasts, free laundry, bottle water, sodas, slippers etc....the hotel itself is surrounded, walking distance by ample restaurants, food store, clothes store, banks, spa, you name it....you basically dont need a taxi or car, everything is right there. Perfect for Canton Fair travelers, VIP shuttle service and treatment, this is the hotel to choose!

Once this was probably a very nice hotel, but is maybe best described as in a state of benign neglect, with the photos failing to capture the extent of the neglect. Staff do thier best but its difficult to run a Hotel in an Office/School. If travelling for business or solo, there are better value options. There is a concerning lack of security. If travelling for adventure - you will likely find it.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve experienced at any hotel—and I’ve stayed at many throughout China. I stayed at La Perle International Hotel for a few nights during the Canton Fair, and it was a huge regret. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful—especially when I had an issue with their laundry service.

At every other hotel on my trip, I used self-service laundry without a problem. But here? My clothes came out burnt and damaged. I asked for compensation, and instead of taking responsibility while I was there, they waited until after I had left to tell me they would do nothing. Absolutely unacceptable.

If you're a foreigner visiting for business or travel, do yourself a favor—skip this hotel. There are plenty of better, more affordable options just down the street with far superior service.

The management team at La Perle needs serious retraining. Their lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer care is shocking. If I could give zero stars, I would. Safe to say, they will never get my business again.

P.s they never even apologized for the situation and instead gave a mean smirk...

Overall, our stay was enjoyable, but the suite we were in was not clean and had a stale sewage odor. The reception staff addressed the issue the following day. The hotel staff were generally helpful and polite, but the building felt dated, and we had to share the lifts with office workers in the morning.

Hotel was centrally located in downtown Guangzhou for local shops and amenities. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean with large screen TV. Although I wasn’t able to use the TV since all programs were in local Chinese language with no English options. In short, I would use again.

I’m really disappointed with this hotel. The service was bad. When I arrived, no one helped with my luggage, and no one even opened the door. I waited 20 minutes at the front desk, and no one sent anyone to bring my bags to the room. The staff weren’t very friendly either. Plus, the hotel wasn’t as clean as I expected. The gym was dirty, super hot, and the AC didn’t work. Overall, I’m not happy. I won’t be coming back or recommending this place.

During my stay at the hotel, although there waa a notice in my room about the noise for some maintenance work, I still found this noise disturbing especially in the early morning. Another NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I would like to give was the POWER CUT-OFF WHICH TOOK TOO LONG before the electric power was restored. I also found this VERY DISAPPOINTING for the VERY LONG DELAY IN THE ELECTRICAL POWER DISRUPTION. Thank you

one of the dirtiest hotels, i booked the hotel because it was a 5 star hotel and had good reviews, but in reality its a 2 star hotel. the carpet in the room were so dirty, you had to walk wearing shoes. the smell on the lobby going towards the elevator is not pleasant at all. the breakfast buffet is not the best, but at least the food was edible

I really enjoyed my stay, and will definately go back if I get the opportunity again. The rooms were clean and had everything that a traveller would need - even the small touches like a shaving kit, dental kit, earbuds, etc. I would have liked to have sugar and milk in the room for the coffee they supply. And they didn't have international power points, so couldn't charge my laptop. The breakfast was excellent with a very wide range of choices. Overall a 10 out of 10!

Well located as it is next to The Plaza mall where the Guanzhou Metro Gangding station is situated. There are also shops and eateries nearby. Staff are generally helpful and polite. One drawback is that they do not converse in English to handle non-Mandarin speaking guests. Also, the hotel charged to my credit card a deposit equivalent to 25% of the total bill without informing me. I nearly cancelled the card as I thought my card details had been stolen. It was only when I checked in that I was informed, when I asked, that they had charged the deposit.

The property was ok but inability to use WiFi as China does not used google or YouTube was horrible, coupled with communication problems as most of the hotel staff can barely speak or understand simple English. In spite of these little challenges, I had a nice stay.
It was only British Airway service from Hong Kong to London Heathrow that was so embarrassing as there was notably racism treatment in the airline which is completely unacceptable.

Acceptable stay in a prime district

Stayed for 6 nights in December 2017.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning. Although the checkin time was officially 4pm, we were allowed to checkin at 6am. Very thankful for that.
Room service is done promptly and well.
All amenities are replaced daily.

This is a hotel combined with an office at the top. During peak hours, the lifts are really crowded.
The toilets are not separated from the room itself. This means that any odors or leakage will affect the whole room.
Breakfast is largely the same everyday, a little too oily as with all foods in China.
Staff were quite nonchalant/unfriendly. They originally insisted that our booking did not include breakfast, even after getting them to check their online booking system. Only after repeated calls did they realize that breakfast was indeed included, with no apologies at all for the mix-up.
There is absolutely no air-conditioning during winter months, the central heating is quite warm and the windows can only be opened a little bit, making the room possibly too warm for some at night.

Pros:
The location was excellent. Less than 5 mins walk to the bus stop and the subway. It's really convenient to commute via subway in Guangzhou since their train system goes to all the major destinations, even straight inside the airport and all their lines are interconnected. You can also get a day pass for just CNY 20.

The hotel is also just a few steps away from a lot of restaurants, convenient stores and shopping malls.

The hotel was clean. The design was modern and sleek. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had hot and cold water with rain water shower

Front desk and lobby staff were friendly and accommodating.

We were here for the Canton fair and the hotel had free shuttles service with multiple schedules going to and from the fair complex, which took just 15 - 20 mins.

Cons:
We booked a non smoking room, but when we first came, the room smelled like smoke. Eventually the smell faded out after an hour or 2.

Ceaning staff kept forgetting to refill the complimentary water and coffee daily.

The free wifi was painfully slow.

The English of the front desk staff could be improved.

Overall our stay was pleasant. I'd book here again for our next business trip.

Great value for the money

We stayed in the 2-br family suite during our stay. Things were clean, but not 5-star clean. Maybe not even 4-star clean when compared to hotels in the US. For example, we found a ton of *what I hope is* just lint or dust on the couch and found a pear (??) underneath the TV stand.

Check-in concierge really took forever, and they were booked full that night, so only had 1 room key for all three of us-- btw, the room key needs to be in the slot in order for the power to stay on in the room--so it was very inconvenient.

Check-out was very quick and easy.

Overall, I would give the hotel 3.5-4 stars. Super worth the money if you are not very high-maintenance.

First experience was OK hotel with convinient location. But then 2 phones were stolen fron the room and nobody cared. The day we were leaving bell boy came and offered \"his friend's car\" to take us to the airport, we asked for regular taxi and when it arrived he was making fun of us when luggage won't fit in it instead of helping us solving the problem.

I sent you a mail to get the location details in chinese language to give to the Cab driver, beacause I know all the cab drivers in China knows only chinese language. So I send you reminders too. But you didnt respond. Ultimately I called the Hotel reception and they arranged cab by themselves and the charge they said it will be 300 yuan. But when reached the hotel they charged me 350 yuan which is 50 more than what they agreed. Next day I asked the staff in the reception and they too said it is 300 only. Then I informed them. This is one of the guy reception played with cab driver. Even I waited in the airport quite some time for this cab driver to come. Hope you will take care of this

The exec room I stayed in is spacious (34 sq m), with toiletries, instant beverage and bottled water provided daily. Wifi speed and bed are good. Staff is friendly and could communicate in English. There are ATMs at the lobby and a convenience store. But things sold are limited. Better to get from the 7-Eleven facing the main Tianhe Road. No problem finding the hotel is it is known to taxi and security staff stationed around the metro and shopping malls. Only one luggage can be put into the booth of the taxi as most space is occupied by the LPG tank, so for more than two people, better to take the metro from Airport South station all the way to West Tiyu station and cross over to Line 3 to Gangding station (just two stations away in the direction of Tianhe Coach Terminal. For convenience, buy the 24-hour pass for unlimited ride for CNY20.00 each or 72-hour pass for CNY50.00 each.

It worst Hotel I had ever stay in my life. Written 5 Stars but my taxi driver and few other drivers don'tknow how to come here. The Hotel having construction from early morning till late afternoon and it affected our sleep and we cannot sleep in the morning. The noise in the room very noisy as well. I feel that 1 stars hotel is even better than this hotel because they never have a manager on duty in the hotel. I wanted to meet the manager but they keep on saying he or she not in Hotel. Their service is very bad as well that dont care for customer need.

Hotel was located at a good location. Service was excellent. There is a convenience store at the bottom of the hotel building. I feel comfortable during my stay. However, WiFi reception during my stay wasn't good. Perhaps this was because I was assigned a room which is right at the corner. Hotel breakfast needs to be improved as well.

Overall I rate this hotel to be good and would still recommend it.

you can hear people talking or staff moving stuffs from the walkway.
Due to the offices on certain floors, it took forever for the lifts to arrive, especially during rush hours.

Reception staff were very quick to check me in and friendly - they could speak broken English. Arrived a little earlier than the check in time and they obliged - unlike my other stays at Some other 5 star properties.

The hotel is great for a budget stay. Service was great and the guys behind the concierge were very helpful. The room was also great and spacious with little issues. TV was a little fuzzy and the connection wasn't great.

Mosquito and Congested Room

Myself and my wife had several mosquito bites.
Toilet and bathroom unbelievably small.
Room very congested.
Very disappointed for the price we paid.
