I booked this hotel at $100 AUD per night. The photos looked good and the area was convenient. I arrived and I was disgusted by the hygiene and cleanliness standards. The hotel staff showed me 2 alternative rooms but they were all no better. The rooms and facilities all needed to have a deep clean. Because of my flight time, I had to stay the forst night. I checked out early the next morning and booked a new hotel else where. Not a good experience at all.

The hotel location itself is on a clean street and seems like a fairly safe neighborhood. The part I didn't like is I don't think the listing mentioned the room I got had no windows. You can't tell if its day or night time.

The staff were very helpful and this property was close enough to the Canton Fair complex to make the commute shorter and less costly. Options for restaurants were a little limited however you could order in food.

A sour faced front desk attendee spoiled my stay
Everything was just as good as before except the service of the evening staff on 11/10/19 needed improvement. She was not supportive when asked for direction at the front counter: she gave the impression that it was a regret for her to have a staying guesting asking her for directions and making her handle additional work -- totally not customer oriented, which is a no-no for a service industry like the hotel industry.

It only looks good in the pictures. The layout of the double room is not made for family use or companied business trip. Shower room is quite visible from the bed. Your roommate can definitely see you coming out from the shower to dress. If you are staying here for exhibitions at Pazhou the hotel provides morning shuttle to venue and back. They will only make 1 trip going and return at scheduled time if you missed it you will need to find your transportation. Not a convenient spot, there is nothing much in this area.

Two areas for improvement:
1, The carpet in the room should be shampooed from time to time and there was clear indication that the carpet needed cleaning for the removal of obvious stains;
2. The current style of using a duvee in lieu of bed sheets and blankets was totally inappropriate for the hot and humid weather in Asia and would necessitate turning on the air-conditioning high to compensate the extra warmth provided by the duvee which was totally unnecessary in the Asian summer; it in turn was wasting energy and was not sustainable and environmentally friendly.

My room on the first night have a leaking and mold in the wall next day I got a new bedroom without this issue but communication with front desk was very frustrated since No-one speaks English, every time I need help from front desk they just hung up the phone one me and on my last day of staying a watch got missing from my hotel room very poor customer service and on top of it dishonest stuff after over 8 years booking with Expedia is the first time I have an issue like this!

The front desk staff doesn’t speak anything other than mandarin so it was kind of difficult for me to ask questions....the room itself is very clean and nicely decorated. However, the cleaning staff didn’t do that good of a job in cleaning after the last guest...the toilet paper in the bathroom was almost empty with no spares. There was also USED SHAMPOO AND BODY WASH in the shower (that grossed me up). Also, please note that unless it explicitly says there’s a window in the room, there will not be one.

Modern looking hotel and experience was so-so. Toilet bowl got choked when we first arrived but managed to resolve this quite quickly. Aircon was loud which made it quite noisy at night.

Location wise, not recommended if you intend to head to Tian He shopping area or other main areas in GZ as it's quite a distance, traffic is slow towards this direction every day. Verder spraken ze aan de receptie geen engels wat teleurstellend is. Er zijn ook geen accomodaties in het hotel. Het is enkel slapen.
