Firstly, check in was great. Friendly, efficient and helpful.
Unfortunately that was the only good point!

Service in the bar area was a joke, borderline embarrassing.

Slack service, with (teenage) staff more interested on being on their phones ( can be seen in cellar area).
Simple requests ignored and repeatedly asked for - drink, payment,, receipt etc.

A really nice hotel with a good vibe. The staff were friendly and the food was good. A lovely spacious bedroom with a nice en-suite. I did find the room temp to be too warm and there was limited wardrobe space but that wasn’t an issue as I only stayed 2 nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel

This is my first visit to NI & the first hotel of my trip. It’s set the bar high! It is a really convenient hotel with lots of parking. The room was very clean & spacious with lovely thick carpet, though the decor was a little dated. The food was good, though more vegetarian options in the evening would have been appreciated. But, what sets this hotel apart, are the lovely staff - welcoming, friendly & helpful. Thank you.

The Armagh City Hotel was a wonderful place! We had a very nice room with a wonderful view. We added on a third night and had to move rooms because of grease trap cleaning and the view wasn’t as good, but the room was still very good. Parking was very accessible and plentiful.
Breakfast was provided every morning and was very good. It was a combination buffet with a few hot items you could order (poached eggs, porridge, etc).
We had comfortable beds and great amenities. The Armagh City Hotel was in walking distance of the Armagh County Museum, Palace Demesne and Franciscan Friary ruins and most of the downtown.
We loved exploring the city, as well as driving the countryside.
Kudos to a great staff that helped us make an additional night’s reservation; they were all so helpful!

Our first stay in Armagh Hotel was fabulous. Clean and spacious room with tea and coffee facilities including iron & ironing board. Absolutely spotless clean with extra bedding if needed. Bathroom & balcony, table & two chairs, water, glasses, towels, hairdryer & toiletries. Everything you need for a fantastic experience and a welcoming check in by the staff. Will definitely be staying again.

Easy to find, big car park, quick check-in, lifts to rooms, spacious room, quiet, comfy bed, nice bar, good food, great staff, very good breakfast. If I was being picky, dinner menu in bar / restaurant was a little limited and water pressure in the shower a bit low but other than that, nothing to fault.

The room was spacious, clean with gr at light options. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast area is really a notch above. Potato bread fried to perfection, bacon quality and crisp cooking with all options stood out, including eggs on request. The staff are excellent and their attention to detail also stood out.

Room ok, was offended when a member of bar staff stopped us on our way out of bar/restaurant and asked did we pay our bill. Could have been handled better. Also fire alarm went off twice in our room without us having been pre warned and as a result I destroyed my top when I threw a mug of tea over it in shock. Food could have been hotter and breakfast less dried out

Armagh City Hotel

My friend & I stayed one night, staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms beautiful, hotel was very busy as a lot of diners.
There was only one bar tender & he appeared to be under serious pressure.
When checking in to hotel we asked could we books a table for dinner but were told it was walk in.
When we arrived at the dining room we had to join a queue with non residents to wait for a table.
Food very good but service slow.
With self service breakfast the eggs have to be ordered separately ,one would expect the egg to be cooked fresh but this was not the case for me as the egg which was served to me was like rubber and had obviously been sitting for a long time .
The staff did accommodate with a freshly cooked egg.

Attended an event here. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Room was spacious and very clean.

We had a meal for 14 people. The food and the service was excellent. I would especially like to mention Cornelia and Sarah in the restaurant who were very professional and made sure everything went to plan.

From event booking to check in to the meal I can honestly say everything was well above standard and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Armagh or holding an event there.
