I didnt expect how nice my room would be. Photos displayed on wotif didnt really give off that, but thats a good thing. You (wotif) claim the rooms to be sound proof, a huge plus that i was looking forward too. Unfortunately that wasnt the case. My only issue with my stay.

Bairnsdale Motel met my expectation. As a past local I was aware of the location in regard to the standard of the facility and safety, important as an older (83) single female. I liked being able to park under the building. I enjoyed my dinner on one of the evenings. And the shower - great hot water. It was quiet and I slept soundly until 9am and 10am. Check in was pleasant and staff friendly during the stay when just passing nearby.
I make the following comments to make staff aware rather than as a complaint. Not so keen on needing to carry my luggage upstairs to the first floor - there was no offer to assist, and I dont like asking when I know I can manage. I found the high bed a challenge to get into as a short person. I made a comment on leaving and was advised they do have steps to assist - if only I had known.
Would I stay again, yes, but I might ask if there are ground floor rooms when I book.
