Beautiful backdrop

I enjoyed the hotel itself and the staff although a bit rigid were as accomodating as possible. The location is nice and quiet. I opened the curtains to a a lovely neighborhood behind the hotel, gorgeous view. A little far from restaurants and shopping but not terrible. Overall i enjoyed my stay at Wingate Manor and Tagaytay has become a favourite location.

Our stay was okay. Very affordable (with the free massage & breakfast). But the wifi was so weak. Even the signal was very weak :'( The comforter was quite unclean to be honest. There were stains that were not removed.

free breakfast was good and fast? free massage is a great perk. location is away from town but can ride tricycle from town and hotel gives ride to town about 5 minute ride. there is nothing around the hotel. but everything you need where they drop you off including 711 Starbucks and restaurants. front desk was very nice. room is a bit dated but decent. I thought the price was a bit high for the room. if you want peace and quiet this is the place. very nature like. some road nose in morning!

Accidental founding of wingate!

We're heading from batangas up to tagaytay from our 1st trip and decided to stay another night in tagaytay but we don't have any place to stay so I went online and looked for a good place to stay and surprisingly Wingate offers good deal and the place looks so nice as I browsed its pictures..so, to make the long story short, I booked in :-) and in less than an hour we arrived at the cozy place of wingate manor. It was more prettier in reality than the pictures in the internet, indeed, the area was quiet, not too crowded and the staff was so attentive and very accomodating. Very professional and friendly at the same time. The processing of our accomodation was quick and whats even surprising was, we have a free 2 full body massage for an hour on our chosen scheduled time. Another good thing about this place is it's so near the good foor restaurants that we had a good time til midnight. All amenities was in good condition too and their food, it's good too. :) well, to summarize it all I'll give Wingate a 5 star esp. for keeping us safe til we checked out. See you again soon wingate! And for you guys who'll get or will take time to read this, I highly recommend them for they have a lot of good things to offer while giving you a good deal. :-)

Poor Transport and Poor Internet Access

The room my family booked was Executive deluxe with Full Breakfast with Free Wifi.. We were very disappointed. There was only Community Internet like a Back-Packer. More spent on security CCTV than the flimsy Internet. Inside your room you were greeted with an “unfriendly” Card with “If you break it-consider it yours”. There was no security safe. One cupboard was broken, so I suggested I was not responsible for “wear & tear”. We received NOT a “full breakfast” but a continental breakfast, I egg, 1 bacon, 1 hash brown, orange Juice or coffee but not both…the coffee undrinkable with powdered milk. Then we got to go “sight-seeing”…only problem NO transport, no taxis, no courtesy bus considering the isolated location and no amenity for tourist friendly agenda, no assistance from staff, 1.5 km from main-road, 3km from Alverus Terminal. The “Chinese Owner” instructed staff strictly NO contact and only a tricycle available. I was with my family so this was out of the question. I finally hailed down a hire vehicle where we were subjected to being “over-charged” every day for the remainder of our stay. I complained to the front counter and the response being…Sorry sir…How are you today sir..The service was suspended sir…etc ...Choose wisely locations close to the Main Road

My family stayed for 5nights 6 days and we're very happy and satisfied with how the hotel staff treated us. The only inconvenience is that the hotel is not accessible from public transport. Hope the management would provide shuttle, even for a fee, to the main road where guests can take any public transport.

The location was good just a few minutes drive from the main area. The hotel was very serene and quiet and not much people. Offers free massages which were amazing. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Pool was nice and big. Only problem was the room had a few

Terrible stay! We will not going back there!

The room was clean, however the AC was noisy, the TV is not working, no cable, no outlet adaptor. The room was not set up properly, we did asked for comforter. No wifi. The rate is expensive for the room. In addition, we are glad we have a GPS, or else we will not able to find the place, no signage from the national highway, We will not going back there. And i will not recommend Anybody to stay there! Find better one! It was a mistake to stay there.

Plus 2 for Win(s)gate Manor

We had a wonderful stay. We were looking for tranquility and we weren't disappointed to find it at the Wingate Manor. The hotel small capacity was what we were looking For. The hotel was well maintained, internal and external. We find the two ladies at the reception to be very attentive, graceful and courteous. Although, we had only stayed for 2 nights but it was all worth it. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples trying to get away for a romantic retreat. As, for us, we will definitely be back and consider this hotel as my permanent stay, in Tagaytay.

The place is cozy, clean except for the mosquitos which is expected due to rainy season. The pool needs constant cleaning. I love the bed, enough space for 3 person. No other recreation except for the pool. Very good for intimate couples who just wanted to spend time together.

Hotel is good. Nice staffs. Food and massage were ok. My daughter enjoyed the pool. Not recommended if you dont have your own car since the location is quite far and out of way. Area is not accessible and you will not be able to see the view of tagaytay but still recommended if you want a quiet place to stay. Good for the family.

Nice and quiet place. Staffs are friendly.

The place is far from the main road. Ideal place if you are looking for peacefulness. The free massage is good. Cafe food is nice. Cafe and room are clean. I am very fussy with toilet cleanliness and condition. They passed my criteria on this. We will definitely come back to stay at Wingate.again. i would say that internet is the only issue. Signal is very bad. I think this is a problem not only at Wingate but in other hotels and Inns in Tagaytay as well.

Off the beaten path

The hotel was decent compared to some I've stayed at in the Philippines. Although, Wi-Fi is only available in the common areas and not in the rooms., Booked the hotel to get some work done. Was really disappointed when the Wi-Fi was unavailable as advertised on Expedia. However, the hotel is as described on the actual hotel website. Recommend staying someplace else if you don't have a car. This place is definitely off the beaten path.

NO GO PLACE

The hotel is located 1.5km from the main road, next to a crappy farm house and surrounded by cows and grasses. It is FAR from any facility and do not offer shuttle bus services between the hotel and other facility in town. Each time we have to ride on these very small local tricycle to go any where.
I book a car at Batangas port to go there, the driver passed the front of the hotel x3 times and could not find it. Eventually get find it through guide from locals.
The hotel is full of local Filipinos come for weekend one night break. The front desk is set at an open access to the front parking lot, with very small space and only one bench chair can sit for x3 people. At check in reception made an mistake with another guest, so we were given to the wrong room with x2 single beds instead of queens bed as we requested. We finally got it change over.
The room is VERY SMALL with window view to either a back wall that only 1 meters away from the windows, or grass land that other local resident lives. The bed very hard. The linen initially got some black ink on the inner side. We ask for a change, but still it come back the same gray colored bed cover which suppose to be white. And it smells and the whole blanket feeling wet.
We were sleeping next to a very noise aircond which does not work very well (not cool at all). It make noise all night long and we are kept awake and couldn't go sleep (also because hot - not working aircond).
Not surprisingly, the restaurant cooking taste not go

Room is ok with comfortable bed.
No other option for breakfast. Only serving Filipino food.
No decent transport service. Only tricycle.
Massage service is free and good.
We have to take tricycle to go to Casino and Restaurants.

Nice, affordable hotel in Tagaytay

First thing that caught my attention to Wingate Manor was its affordability. Like most people, price like that would make me skeptical. After checking out its rating however, I noticed that most visitors rated it high so I decided to take a chance on it but still not expecting much. To my surprise, I found it really nice. Staff was courteous, room and CR were clean, sheets looked and smelled good, aircon was cold. Even the free massage was good. Free breakfast was not great but not awful. Just ok. It had a pool and the place is accessible. It's no 5 star hotel but overall, I would recommend it and will surely be back.

Avoid if you want to experience real Tagaytay

For those looking to experience the vibrant Tagaytay lifestyle, this is NOT the hotel for you. This hotel is located away from the beaten path that it is more of a hideaway. Do not expect great views because the hotel is located on the far side of the mountain and has no view of Taal Lake. The rooms were a bit tiny and cramped and with the lack of view felt more like prison cells.

The staff were quite eager and helpful, and serviced the one restaurant within walking distance quite well.

We attended a wedding in Tagaytay and needed a place for an overnight stay. The place was basic, nothing fancy but for $88.00 for me and my 2 kids with breakfast and massage for 2. What a deal! The staff was super pleasant and accommodating. Very personalized service. Will definitely come back.

Just do not stay there.

Worst stay ever. Worst location. Hotels.com says this hotel is 1.9 km from Summit Ridge Promenade when in fact it is 2.5 km. Hotel claims on their website that they have shuttle service but you can only take a tricycle and jeepney to go to restaurants. Not so convenient if you have a baby like us. Buffet breakfast is not good. You only have dried fish, eggs, thinly sliced canned ham and rice as options. Just dont go there.

THE BEST!

A great place to stay. Tagaytay is growing with Taal Lake. Wingate is off the main road away from the noise. It is also close yet far enough away from Manila or Rosario.
Our rooms were always clean and the staff was amazing. The pool is very nice. They have a small cafe on site as well.
We will stay here again without a doubt.
Not sure what more you could need.
I tipped everyone before we left for their hard work and hospitality. We stayed for 6 days.

Unaccommodating staff, a horrible comforter

I dont think that I can trust to book for a room without knowing the condition of Hotel. Specially for being unfriendly staff. Better to keep my annoyed moments that gives me headache all day that time. It cause of my bad trippings!
