We had to kill a large cockroach in the room the first night of the stay. There was no hot water in either the shower or the hand wash basin and we had to shower in tepid water. The shower door did not close and water flooded out onto the bathroom floor creating a situation in which it was easy to slip. We informed the staff of these situations on 2 occasions ... after the second complaint an engineer was sent to fix the hot water situation but was unable to find the problem. There was no attempt to remedy the problem with the shower door.

We’ve had great encounters with staff. They were very helpful with information for tourists. Room service was great with housekeeping. The building had a nice ambiance so, we didn’t mind the poor quality of workmanship with the paint and fine tuning edges of baseboards or grouts.
At first we were disgusted to see that the balcony’s metal bars and hinges were so rusty, but as we saw the nearby hotels having the same problem, we simply assumed that the volcano atmosphere might have caused that. So, we just looked pass that, and looked at the bright side.

Food at the buffet was not all that great compared to restaurants around them, especially that Tagaytay was known to have great authentic foods. It had quite a variety of selections tho. Only feedback - hard to communicate with the hotel - sent emails to them since December 7, 2025 re: requests concerning reservation and no reply were received from them. Service was first-class. From front of house to housekeeping and everyone in between, all the staff were very attentive, courteous and efficient with a smile. The only things I can fault are the rooms being obviously dated, the open air side across the rooms which caused the rains to blow into the open doors, and the squeaky left elevator that scared me to no end. Taking everything into consideration, I would book this hotel again when chance permits.

We absolutely loved staying here, the view overlooking Taal was breathtaking, both at bedtime and upon waking. It would have been perfect if there were stools and a small table on the balcony to fully enjoy the scenery, but that’s a minor detail. The staff were exceptional… always welcoming us with a smile, thoughtful, respectful, and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend this place! Rooms on the 7th floor and above offer a clear, unobstructed view of Taal. We’ll definitely be back. The bathroom was clean and spacious, and we appreciated the mini fridge, microwave, and kettle. We even borrowed cutlery and small plates so we could celebrate my mum’s birthday with cake, such a nice touch!
Oh and let me mention the Breakfast here- it’s worth the price. Delightful everyday with so much selection. It caters to both Filipinos & western taste.

After booking this hotel on Expedia for just One night we got a message saying that it was under renovation. I messaged them afterwards because I have two small children that want a pool, so it's very important that the pool is open. I wanted to make sure that the pool was available so after attempting to contact them for 3 days there was no response. Not happy with the communication.

The property is in poor shape. The lobby looks nice but it stops there. I was on the 7th floor but can hear everything on the street. The wind and rain was coming in from the patio doors. The towel racks are rusted and the bathroom has a funky smell. The towels are so old they are gray instead of white. The air conditioning units on the lobby to the rooms are all rusting.

Great view of the Taal. Good food and shopping very close. Casino and amusement park 15 minutes walk. The hotel was very nice and the staff was great. Tagatay is a very noisy city, so be prepared for that. We would stay there again. Robinson supermarket and a small mall with good food right next door.

Poor customer service! The beddings are dirty, towels are very old, no enough tissues provided, there’s a kitchen but no utensils, the premises is not finish.

The bathroom had a clogged drain so everytime we showered it would flood the whole bathroom. Had hotel staff take a look and adter they said they fixed it, it still was in same condition. Also called for room service when we ran out of toilet paper and they never came until several hours later after we personally re-requested at the front desk. This is a supposedly \"4 star\" hotel that is actually 3 stars or less in actuality.

The entrance and lobby is immaculate. The elevators have a glass window to see the lake view on the way up, but the window was not clean. The staff are top notch. They were all very courteous and helpful. The concierge arranged for a personal tour guide for us, the restaurant staff was attentive to our needs and the massage therapist was excellent.
There was a mention that the hotel was going through renovation so I assume the cleanliness issues will be addressed. I will give the hotel a 3.9 out of 5 stars based on my standards with a note saying I will be back for a visit soon to see how the renovations are coming along.

Everything was fine except the younger staff in the restaurant were playing to much instead of waiting on people...the shower foor in our room was falling off...i think room service should of noticed thst and had it fixed before letting out the room again. Pool was to cold to swim..thats why nobody uses it.

Terrible condition for a 4-star hotel. Supervisor/manager did not even look up from the front desk when I was telling them about the bad condition of the deluxe king room that I booked. His answer to the staff is to give an extension cord for the refrigerator which did not have an outlet. Walls had peeling paint, bathroom had moldy grout, towels had worn edges, bare toiletries, no desk chair. Overall poor customer service and not caring probably because of attitude of supervisor/higher ups. Not reflective of Philippine hospitality.

The service was great the place is really nice and the view was stunning. But the wind is so loud and the patio doors not sealed well to keep the wind out. So all the noise escaped into the romm kept me awake most of the night. And for as pricey as it is there it should have been sound proof. I ended up sleeping in the suite on a small bed.

All rooms have the view of Tall Volcano and across the street Rosario Restaurant is a convenient, a little pricey but it has the same view as this hotel. The hotel is next to a busy street, so it’s a little bit noisy. It was so windy when I was there and there balcony door are making some noise especially at night. I have to struggle opening my door until maintenance guy changed the door battery.

The rooms are not well-maintained. I got a two bedroom suite for roughly 150$ a night (with taxes) which I thought was a good deal. As they say, you get what you’ve paid for, and I certainly did. Let’s start with the positives, the rooms (especially the higher floors) have a nice view of Taal lake. There are lots of restaurants nearby that are walking distance. There’s a strip mall right next to the hotel and owned by the same company that has restaurants, groceries, and merchandise kiosks. Skyranch is a walking distance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was cost efficient. The lobby looks like it can be a luxury hotel. But there’s where it ended for me. The room I got was ok, not great. The room was outdated. Dressers and cabinets definitely had their share of wear and tear. The stove definitely needs an update. The fridge served it’s purpose. Bathroom is ok. Something about their balcony that water puddles in certain spots after it rains. The upholstery on the loveseat was stained. I just wish they would update/renovate their rooms.

The location, view and price are the pros of this place. Within a 2 min walk is a grocery store, starbucks, Korean food buffet, BDO ATM, and a well known restobar. Traffic on the street is not bad in the immediate area so exiting the premises is not an issue. My only concern was the cleanliness of the place. It's not that it was dirty, but more old and needed attention. For instance, my room was clean, but the bathroom glass was just spotty with old water stains, the grout needed fixing, and mold in the corners. The rain type shower head was full of calcium buildup. All in all a great place with a top notch view. Will be staying here again next year.

The staff is extremely helpful and professional. It’s like staying at the Hilton in Manila. They go out of there way which exceeds all expectations. 10 Star staff led by Chris. Breakfast is extraordinary and the group is motivated to serve a high quality breakfast but Dinner is the opposite. Fist meal a portion of my chicken well cooked but the other was uncooked and not edible. Second dine in experience was worse as I got sick but still charged.

The weather was windy at the time. We were located on a 7th floor room. We can hear the wind whistling through the gaps between the balcony windows and doors. It is slightly annoying but tolerable.

Room needs a little upgrade especially their bathroom which is clogged when we checked in. We requested for a late check out but they declined because the hotel is fully booked so we opted to check out at 12 noon and requested for a trolley for our luggage unfortunately the bellman went to us past 1pm due to the influx of guest. Staff were seemingly unprepared. Nevertheless, They have a good location and stunning view of the taal. The food in their newly renovated restaurant serves good food.

I booked two rooms for a two nights stay with our friends. The room where me and my husband stay was nice not until i checked the bedsheets, seems that it was not changed for a while, it has stains and is disgusting. I took a picture of it for proof. So when they came in to replace it, there were more stain on the lining and itvwas not only me who saw it, it was the housekeeping who saw it too...pls update the pool area too. Thanks

It was a breeze checking in at Summit Ridge Tagaytay. Staff was nice and accommodating. Helped us with our bags. They were also honest to tell us that cable wasnt working that day and that the cable provider is handling the issue already.
The reviews regarding the sound from the cars from the highway is true. We were checked in at the 8th floor and we can still hear the cars passing by late at night which made sleeping a bit hard to do.
Do not expect that much on the wifi though. It works fine but it is a bit slow.
