The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.The views and the general aesthetic of the hotel was impressive. However, the service was slow and the irons need to be cleaned. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Avani Lesotho!

The building is old, the worst part they let them smoke in the casino, which is inside the hotel. We can smell smoke all the time. The test is fine, I think it is a nice stay in Lesotho.

The rooms are rather smalll, the air con makes too much noise. The dinner is not the best, i had seafood platter badly prepared, prawns not fresh, it is safe to call it a Hake and Chips plate. The greek salad not so greek.

The steaks are great, the chips are great.

Breakfast is standard acceptable but if you want packed breakfast you would rather just leave without.

The stuff is very rigid and tend to be unfriendly and cold if you want something they have been told it should not be offered.

Perfect people and place

The staff treated me like family, they were on top of everything and gave some of the best service i have had on a long time.
Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and similar to my breakfast in America.

The property was very nice but they need to significantly work on their customer service. There were many little things that occurred which lead to a less than satisfactory experience. At one point, our server in the restaurant asked us for money so she could buy a banana. Very awkward.

A dated hotel but clean. Air-conditioning didn't work very well and if you open the balcony door to try cool the room it is ridiculously noisy from all the Aircon's and machinery located outside on the roof below.

I loved the spacious room, working area the big bath tub, the lotions and soaps and the gym. Very good breakfast. Unfortunately the time I was there they ran out of my favouriote drink Heinekken and could notyunderstand why this was so for a full three days.

Great option in Maseru

Very good luxury stay in Maseru, probably the nicest property in the city. The property had a great view from the balcony as well. I thought the bed was very comfortable, there was luckily heat and A/C, and the bathroom was spacious. Would recommend anyone looking for a nice place to stay!

First visit to Lesotho and our 2 night stay at Avani Lesotho made it memorable. Our room had a beautiful view of the sparkling pool. Choice of 3 restaurants at the hotel and for entertainment there was the casino. Spotlessly clean , luxurious and modern. Definitely recommended. Use of the gym and sauna was complementary. There is also a spa on site. Friendly staff from security,reception,cleaning etc. Wifi is available right throughout the hotel.

I wonder who designed the layout of sinks in the basin and bath tub in the bathroom. Very difficult to wash hands and face.

Experienced problems when checking wth amount to pay. Hotel could not get through to the 24 hours number and this was frustrating.

This is not the first time I experienced this issue using hotels.com

Smoker’s paradise

For the money, this hotel is pretty disappointing. They allow smoking in the casino so it smells like an ashtray. But the pool is nice and the staff is incredibly nice - they made up for any misgivings. But if you really can’t stand the smell of last night’s party, probably best to avoid. That said, it’s likely the only place in Maseru to stay if you’re used to creature comforts.

Clean and nice patio bar with a view

On the third room (one too noisy ventilation another not being able to close the balcony door) all went well.
Clean, good bed and nice breakfast.
Slow service and stingy approach on amenities and towels in the bathroom.
There are no healthy alternatives on the menus (the salads served in the lobby bar Leifo are a joke and hardly qualify as starters) However do you like chips this is your place.
Good Chinese restaurant on lower level.
Basic gym with lots of locals and loud music.

When my client arrived on this reservation number he was told there was no booking even though it had been fully prepaid. Prof Peter Thuynsma was made to pay again at the hotel. During his stay when he returned to his room on 01 Nov someone else was trying to check into his room!

Lovely Hilltop Location

Most of the staff are very pleasant, especially the security and restaurant staff. The reception staff are pleasant enough but some are not particularly effective. Each time it takes too long to check in. Some of the staff are not particularly helpful and/or effective. Food in the restaurant is very good.

You need to be patient with the staff as I guess they are not well trained. I went to Nala Cafe they offer daily dinner starting 6:30. you can also order from from the menu.
I was there at 6:30 sharp and ordered a beer and a stake. Food was late so I asked the waiter multiple times when I am going to get the food. One hour later the waitress came to me and told me that they are very busy in the kitchen and that I better go for the buffet.
Having said that I guess it's the best hotel in Lesotho. I rank it as a 3 stars hotel.

Great Hotel with Average Service

I used Hotel.com to book and pay for my reservation. Hotel.com was great, adn we even changed the reservation one time without a problem. The hotel counter staff could not make the right connections. When the reception lady gave me a room key card, I asked for another one for my wife. Your lady looked frustrated. My reservation clearly said \"2 adults,\" but she gave me a small room prepared for one. She changed us to a larger room, but even it was only prepared for one. I had to ask Housekeeping for a complete set of towels, which did not arrive until after my third request. Upon checking out, the reception staff served everyone else before me. I was patient for three people served, but then I had to assert myself and tell a customer that I was actually ahead of them. This should be the clerk's responsibility, not the customer's. I argued with the clerk for the receipt that I needed. I asked them NOT to fold and staple it, but this was too much for them to comprehend in English. Overall, the hotel was great, the gym was great, the dinner was great, the price was \"5-Star,\" and the service was only average.

I thought the facilities of the hotel were great--the bar and restaurant were great, the rooms neat, and the spa was an added bonus. However, the staff at the hotel were the worst I've ever encountered. Very unprofessional, never smiled, and I felt I was constantly burdening them when I had questions.
