Firstly, the hotel is very far from everything. We arrived late at night and grabbed some snacks, but the food was disgusting; the hamburger was dry, and the salchipapas tasted terrible. Our room had an ocean view, which was fantastic, but it was quite simple. The sheets and towels were brown instead of white, the sink was turned off and I couldn’t open it, and there were mosquitoes everywhere.

While the food served in the main dining area was delicious, the behavior of some guests was appalling. They ate like animals without any manners, which was quite off-putting. The poor bartender had to make five drinks for one person without receiving any tips, which was really unfortunate. I ended up staying in my room to enjoy the view, but I couldn’t find any channels to watch since there were too many apps, and I didn’t know how to operate the TV. Additionally, the air conditioning was not strong enough.

I definitely do not recommend this place. However, I must mention that all of the staff members were very friendly. The General Manager should pay attention to the cleanliness of the premises, and the food and beverage director needs to improve the quality and presentation of the food.

Next time, I will be going to the Punta Sal Hotel instead.

Las personas de servicio del hotel como el restaurant el transporte y limpieza son muy amables, pero el staff del from desk tienen muy mala actitud, lejos de ayudar al huésped te ponen mala cara como si nos estuvieran haciendo un favor. Este hotel es uno de los más caros del Peru y por ese precio lo menos que queremos es recibir una sonrisa y que nos traten con amabilidad.

Good quality at the base, bad quality in the high.

It is good to go with children, in my case babbies.
The workers are gently.
But it looks the high level management are more interested in doing business than in communnicate with the guests.
I bought fopur nights and was impossible to get a late check oput, even paying. and nobody with responsibility level is ready to talk with the client.
in the other hand, because it is a time share you must be ready for that kind of harrasment.

The property business model caters to families . The activities and vibe is all geared to families. This is not for a romantic get away. The ocean under tow is to strong to body surf and diffidently to strong for young children but the pool size is excellent alternative .

The facilities are complete with a gym and spa nightly entertainment . The one complaint is literally no one speaks english . Unless you know how to speak even a little Spanish you are are on your own yo figure it out . It is not geared to non Spanish speaking clients . We are from Canada though I speak French snd English my Spanish is all but a few words . I must say the stay are very friendly and especially the kitchen staff that make sure the cleanliness food presentation is always maintained . In short this is family oriented all inclusive on par with many of the ones in the Dominican Republic for those of you that know this formula. There is nothing to do outside the property . The nearest town ( about 30min away by car ) is Mancora which is small lively town with surprisingly a few great restaurants and bars . The main clientele are Suffers . We are am not an inclusive Couple . After a tough 85 KM Selkantay trek we were looking to just chill for a few days .

Spectacular Beauty But Problems With Service

This resort is exquisite. However, my friend and I got very sick from some hamburgers we ate. We were treated badly because I got sick in the bed as a result of food poisoning from their restaurant. They wanted to charge.us $75. Another friend told them that this would never have happened if their food had been ok. They dropped the charge to ,$25 but then we had adifficult time even getting some sheets, no quilt, to rest on for the rest of the morning. They did not want to give us fresh linens cause we were checking out in a few hours. I offered to pay the maid to remake the bed, but she said it was against the rules. I was seriously ill and felt like I was being punished. Another friend wanted to bring me soup to my room bit was also told that was against the rules. This resort is the most elegant that I have visited anywhere in the world,but their rules are more important than their customers. I was treated well at the front desk regarding other issues.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was surprisingly of good standard. They have 2 restaurants a la carte, both are very good. This resort is family orientated. Only problem is that they allowed kids around the bar area at any time. Facilities are very good, clean and well maintained. Only issue is the lack of restrooms around the pool area. Only one and far away from the bar. Pool is massive and clean. There is no service on the beach. Only few things to fix. I recommend this resort.

The correspondence of staff Were very good.
Apart from the room I had reserved, it was changed.
Even though it was a crowded season, it was a very far away room from the main building.
It was the first time that there was no wifi in the room.
There is no refrigerator.
Even though there was someone smoking a cigarette in the pool, the staff did not pay attention.
Invitation was so persistent and tired as to be a member of the hotel.
Although I went for a vacation, I was really tired, so I think I will not use Decameron anymore.

YOU REALLY NEED TI READ THIS: Nice beach, secluded so you can actually disconnect from the world. The resort and outside facilities, facade, grounds were nice, but the interior of the room were very simple and nothing that would scream 5star resort, specially the bathroom tile, countertop, shower, etc. Very simple, what you would find in a hostel bathroom. The service was iffy, staff was nice but they lack the experience and training to ensure guests feel like they are in a resort. Also, the owning company does not seem to take care of their employees. The gate of the resort very far from the actual resort (probably 3 miles) and I saw many of the workers walking to the resort, which might explain why the staff is not happy working there. The company could easily provide transportation to shuttle employees from the gate to the resort and keep their morale up which will translate in being happy where they work and eventually provide a better experience for guests. Another thing I didn’t like was their overpriced tours, lack of water sport equipment, activities other than dancing. Their restaurant reservation process is also crappy, basically is first come first served, so you have to get up super early in the morning of to make reservations, you can’t make reservation for future days. When one is on vacation, the last thing you want to do is wake up early to make a restaurant reservation that you might not be able to do. Dumb system, they should allow future reservations.

Horrible Vacation!!!

The facility is in bad condition. Pool water was murky(3ft deep and couldn't see my feet). Pool handrails were loose and moving around. Food was disappointing(disgusting). We order a chicken sandwich and we got just the bread and fries, no chicken...we could not believe it .. I was bitten by ants on my bed and I killed a huge spider on the shower.

I have been in several resorts around the world and this one was like a be on a parallel world..

Stay away from this property!!

Great place to stay if you are looking to get away from your life. It is more of a family resort than a couple get away.

The location was horrible. Two hours away from the airport and far away from the nearest city. Your isolated inside the hotel with outrageous prices for Internet and phone calls.

Travel package- los manglares: if you like nature and traveling in a boat it is a good package. Not worth going to see the crocodiles as they are crowded and move very little. They threw in the city tour so we saw the cathedral and other points of interest in the city. I don't think it was worth the 1hour 40 minute drive back to tumbes and then back to the hotel later that night.

The pool did not have a deep end. It's a great family pool made for kids.
They had a game room for kids.

The hotel had a show every night incorporating dance routines. It was somewhat entertaining but dancers have little time to rehearse a for a new routine every night and errors could easily be spotted.

My wife and I enjoyed the buffet but I personally would have been ok with the hamburgers and hot dogs.

My wife and I really enjoyed the restaurant the cevicheria. Good seafood there and an option of Lomo saltado if you don't like seafood. You need to make a reservation, I was in line at 650 am and the 7 pm reservations were already full.

It was very disorganized for guest to check in, staff not very helpful, upon arrival to our room there was no water on sink or shower. The Air Condition didn't work for the last 2 nights, despite the fact that we reported it. Its too hot not to have AC. Beach was nice, pool and dinning room, Food was good and the servers were very polite and friendly. The desk workers were very rude and check out was not very pleasant. They act as if we were asking for charity not taking into consideration that we just spent 5 days at the facility and not for free.

Customer Service Training needed ASAP

I would give them 2 1/2 stars. The facilities were ok but the staff need training, I sometimes felt that they felt that they were doing us a favor to treat us. When I ask the waiter for a spoon, he told me: \"oh they are next to the yogurt section\", and walk away. The food was cold, quite a few times. They took forever to make a piña colada. Oh and the hotel lleno de grillos. They should fumigate more often.

Pillows seemed rocks, shampoo barely available, airconditioner noisy and brokendown, sometimes there salty water for shower. Dont go to Zorritos, thermal water experiences are actually mud experience TRULY unhygienic.

Shows were good like some Cancun's hotels or better.

Gotta Love it

The Hotel was everything it looked to be - Great Location, Comfortable Rooms and good service. There were a lot of families but it did not take away from the experience. The only complaint was we arrived to the hotel at 12 only to find out that check in was at 3pm and at 3pm they said it was 3-5pm and did not get into our room until 5:30pm. However, they were kind enough to let us eat at the buffet and take advantage of the pool and beach while we were waiting.

Great for couples, travel with family or friends!

We had read a lot of comments about thia hotel... good and so many bad. But we were just fascinated with it. We recommend it very much. No matter if it is weekend or from sunday to thursday, the hotel is always very alive. We were there from sunday to tuesday and we totally enjoyed it... maybe can be a bit \"bothering\" if you try to get to the hotel by yourself (buses, special transportation and taxis, but it worth it!. My girlfriend and i will return soon!

Accueil horrible. Nous avions contacté l'hôtel en amont pour ajouter notre enfant de 2 ans sachant que le prix avec un enfant était le même sur votre site. L'hôtel me répond qu'ils ne trouvent pas ma réservation et de le faire à l'arrivée. En arrivant, on me dit que le bebe doit payer le tarif de réception, soit USD 80.- par nuit. Nous arrivions d'un long voyage et voulions mettre le bébé à dormir. A ce moment le réceptionniste nous prend les clés des mains, sachant que la chambre était déjà payée! A aucun moment un manager n'est venu nous parler et décidons de payer pour avoir notre chambre. Pour ce prix il n'y a ni lit pour bébé, ni linge ni baignoire...
Finalement je vois qu'on nous facture la TVA, ce qui ne s'applique pas au non résidents. Lors du check out on me promet de me contacter par email et me rembourser ce montant. A ce jour je n'ai reçu aucune nouvelle....

- Lo bueno: Se cumplen los protocolos por la pandemía, instalaciones adecuadas. Buena piscina, la playa linda lástima no pudimos usarla por disposición del gobierno. El espectáculo nocturno bueno. Les recomiendo las salchipapas. La. Amabilidad de la gente es de resaltar, tuvieron el detalle de ponerle una tortita por el cumpleaños de mi hija con un cartel de saludos.
- Lo malo: La comida estando en un país donde tenemos una rica gama de platos nos sirven una comida que no es de la mejor. Falta de variedad en el desayuno. Tuvimos un gran problema con la movilidad que contratamos al hotel no tenía ventanas, lles preguntamos que el aire acondicionado al parecer no funcionaba y el personal del hotel nos mencionaba que al prender la unidad enfriaria, lo que nunca sucedió estuvimos en un Sauna a lo que el chófer nunca contestaba.

O check in foi longo. Nosso nome não constava na lista do portão de entrada do hotel e demorou mais de 10 minutos, sob o sol, para o segurança não resolver a situação e nos liberar para entrar. Demoraram a encontrar nossa reserva. Apesar da longa espera, fomos muito bem atendidos por Dante e Luiza na recepção. Para recompensar, o hotel obsequiou três tickets para internet.
O hotel disponibiliza apenas uma chave física para cada quarto. Não contam com chaves eletrônicas. Isso restringe bastante a liberdade e autonomia dos hóspedes no hotel. Ainda mais quando se divide o quarto com mais 1 ou 2 pessoas.
O atendimento nos bares do hotel são lentos. Apesar do cardapio variado de coquetéis, eles são ruins. Os vinhos são de baixa qualidade, amargos. Existem no mercado vinhos baratos e agradáveis. Mas os servidos no hotel nem chegam a essa altura. A cerveja era de boa qualidade.
O cardápio era bastante variado e farto. Inclusive nos restaurantes satélites. O atendimento sempre gentil e ágil. Destaque para Mercedes, Flor, Emerita (ceviches) e Henrry (que coordena a equipe). Ambientes sempre limpos, destaque para Sr. Alfredo.
Lamentablemente, dos cinco membros da familia, quatro contraíram uma virose gastrointestinal severa. Tais viroses podem estar relacionadas com preparo e conservação dos alimentos ou de bebidas.
As atividades de recreação são variadas, animadas e divertidas. À noite, algumas são inapropriadas para crianças. Destaque: Katherin, Calambrito e Loco.

Buena infraestructura pero mal servicio al cliente

La verdad el hotel es muy bueno en cuanto infraestructura, piscina grande, habitación grande, pero si quieres vista al mar debes pagar, buenos tragos, la playa no tiene rocas, hay sillas de playa suficiente para todos y todos los días hay shows nocturnos de muy buena calidad, y actividades en la piscina y playa a cargo del personal de entretenimiento que son muy buenas. Si debería mejor mucho en servicio al cliente, los trabajadores creo que están demasiadas horas y terminan estando malhumorados (excepto personal de entretenimiento), para un hotel de esta categoría donde se paga un precio alto se espera que el trato sea bueno y ya desde que llegas te hacen esperar mucho por una habitación, no hay forma que te la den un poco antes de las 3pm asi las tengan listas, por lo que hacer check in es un caos y demora bastante por lo que recomiendo llegar después de esa hora porque te van a dejar esperando en el lobby sin acceso a la piscina ni nada, seria bueno que encuentren una estrategia para solucionar eso porque vas a ver gente todos los días esperando por horas en el lobby. En otros hoteles si bien no te dan habitación por lo menos puedes ir usando las instalaciones, aqui te van a dejar sentado aburrido.
El buffet del almuerzo no es bueno realmente la comida bastante insípida, por lo que, en la noche recomiendo reservar los otros restaurantes que te ofrecen que si son buenos y no hay tanta gente. Ojo que se tiene que reservar sino vas al buffet del almuerzo.

Nuena atención muy serviciales, la comida bufett buena algunos platos muy buenos otros regulares. El personal muy amable. Hay otro tipo de personal que se encarga de vender o hacer que te afilies a sus planes son muy insistentes y deberian hacerlo en otro momento ya que uno va al hotel a olvidarse de los negocios y no quiere hablar de eso.

Experiencia en temporada de invierno

Estuvimos 3 dias y 3 noches, en el mes de julio, antes de Fiestas Patrias, creo que lo ideal hubiera sido pasar 4 dias y 4 noches porque pasar solo dos dias enteros fue poco para el tiempo y dinero invertido en el viaje desde Lima. Las piscinas fueron disfrutadas por los chicos, para mi al ser poco profunda (1,2 m) no me resulta interesante y no la use, un hotel como este debiera tener una piscina mas profunda e incluir un trampolin. Las habitaciones son amplias y muy comodas. La proximidad al mar es importante y considero que es lo mas disfrutable, las caminatas por la playa, tanto hacia el pueblo de Punta Sal como hacia el lado de Cancas son obligatorias, y si coinciden con las puestas del sol seran realmente inolvidables. Tuvimos la suerte de ver ballenas alimentandose a 150 m de la playa. El servicio \"Todo Incluido\" no colaboro con la dieta, y fue un aliciente para experimentar multiples platos y bebidas, el servicio de buffet es bueno pero para la cena es recomendable hacer reservaciones en el restaurant de comida mediterranea. El clima estuvo de nuestro lado, el norte del Peru es garantia de sol y calor cuando el frio y las lluvias son la constante en Lima.

De lejos lo mejorcito de la zona

Lindo hotel, súper espacioso, bastante privacidad, tiene una inmensa piscina, 2 canchas de tenis, un pequeño gimnasio, spa, buen buffet en el desayuno, almuerzo y cena, y aunque la playa de la zona no sea la mejor la verdad ni se siente.

Vacaciones en pareja!!

En general el hotel es muy bueno. Ha mejorado los puntos negativos respecto a los comentarios 2017, 2018. El check in es rápido, toallas en buen estado, mínimo ruido de grillos e insectos, la comida no es mala, habitación limpia.

Lo malo es la calidad de los tragos, no hay variedad en cervezas, siempre para cerrado el kayak, snorkel y demás deportes acuáticos.

Luego el show nocturno para adultos es muy entretenido, pero si debería ser exclusivo para adultos ya que la mayoría de sillas está ocupada por niños y no tienes donde sentarte.

A esa misma hora deben hacer un show aparte, en otra zona para niños para no mezclarse.

En la noche el bar principal para full, y se demoran mucho en darte un trago. O ponen mas personal o abren otro bar cerca al principal.

Por lo demás muy buen hotel para descansar y pasarla bien
