We had a great time staying at qema Mancora, clean relaxing atmosphere. Even though we didn't get to do much outside of the hotel due to our short stay in Mancora, we still enjoyed all the amenities available to us.

Qema Máncora makes a strong first impression with its accommodations. The property offers a variety of room styles to suit different travelers; I can speak specifically to the suite, which was outstanding—generous in size, filled with natural light, and designed with a clear emphasis on comfort and ease. The bathroom, often an overlooked detail in beachside properties, was equally impressive: spacious, well-appointed, and more than comfortable for two.

Beyond the room, the property itself truly excels. Every meal was exceptional, with food that consistently impressed and cocktails that were as thoughtful as they were well-executed. Happy hour never felt like an afterthought, but rather a daily highlight. Service throughout the property was excellent, with special recognition owed to John, whose attentiveness, warmth, and deep local knowledge elevated the entire stay. His recommendations around the town of Máncora—from dining spots to nightlife—were spot-on and added a meaningful layer of authenticity to the experience. Brian also deserves mention for his consistently great service at both meals and poolside.

The pool area embodies the relaxed sophistication Qema aims for: ample shaded loungers, a laid-back atmosphere, and perfectly curated chill-vibe music that sets the tone for effortless afternoons by the water.

One important consideration for travelers is that nightlife is very much part of the Qema experience. Music carries clearly into the evening, often well past 10:

This Selina has a great range of options for stay, I stayed both at the cylinders and at the suite. The cylinder is a great budget option, and the concept is really cool - only downside is space if it’s for two people, for one it’s perfect. The suite has an amazing view, space for two and the accommodations you need.

The property itself is very well located, 10 min walk to the town or surf shops and many of activities on site. A lot of different areas to relax ans great food options onsite.

The bonus for me was the cowork, wow! Decide to stay a few extra days and used the cooker for a quiet space, great WiFi and amazing views!

If you are looking for a place to have a quiet evening after a loving day at the beach, this is not the place. Extremely noisy. Partying until 3am with loud speakers next to the rooms. Impossible to sleep. By the way, management never mentioned this at check in.

Everything was great, the staff was friendly, the ambiance is amazing and relaxing, we had an issue checking in- it took almost an hour to do so but the ladies at the desk were very professional and patient and did their best to help us get our rooms situated.

WARNING; SLEEP DEPRIVATION AT NIGHT

This is more toward management. First, the check in was terrible. We had a four delay on our flight and all we wanted to do is check in quickly, go to our room and change clothes to salvage the lost day. We had to provide extensive information, download an app (per family member) and provide more information. It was close to an hour check in! We were provide one key card for a family of four and you had fight the door scanner to our room to open. The biggest issue was that this hotel was more of nightclub/concert at night than a hotel. Every night the music was blasting to provide to the outdoor party and guest (mainly non hotel guests). We could not sleep til 2am because that's when the party ended. Call me old, but try to sleep when there is poor sound insulation in your room, music blaring and young people screaming is brutal!

An Amazing week with Selina

I enjoyed en extremely fun and relaxing week at Selina! Everyone is so nice, I’m sad to say goodbye to them all. They make you feel like you are just hanging out with friends during your stay here. Shoutout to Vicki and Jesus! You guys rock! Easy access to the town via Tuk Tuk but it’s so beautiful you probably won’t want to leave!

Tudo foi muito bom, funcionários, comida, quarto, piscina e praia.

A equipe do hotel foi maravilhosa, super educados e gentis.

Único ponto negativo é a professora de Yoga que é muito mal educada e desrespeitosa, por duas vezes foi rude conosco quando estávamos aguardando as aulas no espaço.

Ela definitivamente ela não combina com o restante da equipe e com o hotel. Repensem pois vimos ela tratar mal outros hóspedes também.

Fora isso foi nota 10 nossa estadia.

Great Atmosphere, Poor Reception Service

Great location with a nice atmosphere, but service at reception was very disappointing. Before arrival I tried arranging airport transport via the hotel’s WhatsApp, but only received automated replies. They finally responded on the day of arrival, saying they couldn’t provide transport. Thankfully, we found a great taxi driver at the airport.

Check-in went smoothly, but they forgot to give us wristbands, which caused issues the next day. We stayed in a tipi, which was clean with a comfortable bed, though we weren’t told how loud the music would be at night. It didn’t bother us much, but if you want peace and quiet, this isn’t the place.

The restaurant and pool staff were very friendly, and the common areas were great. However, when we asked reception to book a taxi for our whale watching trip, communication (via Google Translate) failed. They said a driver would contact us, but no one did. In the morning there was no taxi, so we missed the prepaid tour. The manager did offer us a complimentary lunch, which was appreciated.

Lo malo: Check in muy demorado.
El guardia de la puerta no quería dejar pasar al inicio. Sugirió q se le pague precio por hacer uso del garaje. Personal del Selina entraba y salía de los baños compartidos en todo momento, pero parece q no a limpiar sino ha controlar. Baños sucios.

La propiedad es bonita, sin embargo el personal (equipo de operaciones) son amateurs en el rubro hotelero. El equipo de front desk nada servicial, con poco interés en resolver las consultas, la información de los servicios de mi reserva incompleta, el proceso de check in demasiado largo, las recepcionistas con un trato demasiado seco y poco amable, las instalaciones del hotel son bonitas, el desayuno cumplidor, el personal de housekeeping mantuvo mi habitación limpia, sin embargo tomaron 02 copas mias y rompieron una de ellas, y yo fui a reportarlo a recepción, luego se presento en mi habitación una señorita (housekeeper) ,sin darme una disculpa por lo ocurrido y a preguntarme a mi de que manera solucionar el incidente (me dieron otra copa y nada mas) el hotel nunca se disculpo conmigo por romper mi objeto personal encima ocultarlo. Repito se nota que no son del rubro por lo mal que actúa el personal y lo poco servicial que son.

El ambiente es lindo. Dias antes te contactan para explicarte el metodo de pago (que es al llegar) y confirmacion de reserva tanto como estadia y/o actividades. Al llegar te ayudan con tu equipaje y a la hora del chek in te dan una pulsera que te identificará como huesped. Todos los colaboradores son muy amigables. El desayuno muy bueno. Cuentan con un restaurant de pago y una cocina compartida (libre). Lo unico malo fue la piscina, queria usarla en la noche, sin embargo se me nego el uso porque le hecharon cloro, y eran 8pm aproximadamente un día martes. Por otro lado, tuve una dificultad para realizar una actividad el dia programado y pude reprogramar la actividad sin problema.

La llegada fue muy mala. Hoteles.com no me indicó que tenía habitación con baño compartido. Además el hotel no tenía constancia de mi pago por lo que tuve que volver a pagar. Desde el hotel dieron todo su apoyo, pero hoteles.com no estuvo a la altura

Estadía Semana Completa en Selina Máncora

Muy recomendable la estadía en Selina - Máncora, los servicios ofrecidos, las comodidades, almuerzos en general muy bueno. La ubicación del hotel es excelente por si uno desea ir de visita al pueblo de Máncora o las playas cercanas como Pocitas o Vichayito. Personalmente, la considero la mejor opción para pasar unas bonitas vacaciones en Máncora.

El mejor lugar en el cual pasar las vacaciones, gracias a Selina mi esposo y yo pasamos un hermoso aniversario de casados, desde la atención de personal, tanto la srta. Tais como el sr. Jorge son demasiado amables y están al pendiente de que necesitamos como de la seguridad que esta presto ayudar si es necesario y ni que decir de todos sus establecimientos, hermosa piscina, fogata, cocina etc. todo el lugar es de sueño :) ya volveremos para nuestras vacaciones nuevamente ❤️

La comida me pareció muy buena. La relación calidad/precio del almuerzo es buena.
No me gustó la atención, ni en recepción ni en el bar. No sé si el personal era nuevo pero parecía perdido y no era el más amable.
Al check in nos hicieron esperar por cerca de 15 min afuera. No había personal en recepción o alguien de seguridad que nos abra la puerta así que estuvimos esperando todo el rato afuera, bajo el sol.
