There was a good variety on offer for breakfast and the option of eggs and cheese if wanted. Probably the only downside was the WiFi did not reach to our room, but it was not an issue for usm

Prior to arriving they sent us a what’s ap text stating the best way to enter the city and between what hours the front desk was staffed. We had a second floor room and it was as pictured. Very comfortable. The cook at breakfast was attentive and the simple menu excellent! So close to the heart of town. The staff were so helpful with reservations and helping us find the best walking path to our destinations. I can not recommend this place more highly!

The views of this hotel were ridiculous AMAZING , the front desk was very helpful and friendly. It was walkable to restaurants and amenities.
The only downside was that the air conditioning was not working and we call the “emergency “ number and still they did not do nothing about it, because of that we need to open the windows and I have a couple of mosquitoes bites and I guess there was a celebration and the noise from outside did not let me sleep well and the fireworks felt louder.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa del Sole Siena. The terrace offers a stunning view, perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and even went above and beyond when one staff member escorted us out of the city on his motorcycle after roads were closed for upcoming celebrations. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Piazza del Campo. Highly recommended!

Under the Tuscan Sun experience within the medieval walls of Siena. Views of the Tuscan countryside on one side and the medieval city on the other. Nice walk to all the going ones in the city but a quiet retreat when you are ready for a romantic getaway.

What a wonderful spot in the quiet, historic center of beautiful Siena. Everything about our stay here was great. In advance of our trip, I reached out to the hotel for restaurant recommendations and received a long list (which we availed ourselves of.) Both meals and restaurants were excellent. Wonderful location, convenient for the town centre, which is only a short walk away, but set slightly outside and with great views of the city and out into countryside south of the city. Excellent comfortable room, spotless and spacious (Junior Suite). Staff went the extra mile to collect us from the train station when our travel arrangements went awry and we arrived late in Siena . You won’t find a better place to stay in Siena.
If you’re going to stay in Siena, you’ll find no better place to stay than at the Villa Del sole. Getting around in this city by car is extremely difficult and you can get parking here although you do have to pay €35 a night. It’s absolutely worth the price as you can walk to the two main sites in Siena, the Campo and the Duomo as well as numerous restaurants. And the villa does have its own restaurant, although we didn’t eat there. The room was spacious and had a large couch for sitting. The bathroom was also a good size and the shower was twice the normal size. The people at the front desk couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Lastly, the breakfast couldn’t be beat. You can get eggs cooked three different ways and there’s so many other things to eat you won’t be disappointed.

This is a beautiful property and it is fully stocked with everything you will need. We cannot praise Claudio and his staff enough. We truly enjoyed our stay and the beautiful Siena surroundings. The property is extremely close to the city center but far enough to enjoy a tranquil setting. Claudio has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We had two different kinds of hand soap which I really appreciated. Water was provided daily at the bar, and breakfast was delightful. Wine, espresso, drinks are all available for purchase. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating reasonable request. If we are ever back I Siena, I know exactly where I’m staying. Thanks again Claudio!

Even showed us the easiest and best way to get to the Piazza del Campo without going up and down the hills, lol. Breakfast was great, good selection. The best, mind blowing view of Siena you will find.

My husband and I visited Siena in 2015 on our honeymoon and stayed at the Villa Del Sole. We loved it so much that we came back again in June 2024. On both visits the owner and staff were wonderful and the rooms are elegant and very comfortable. The view from the property is just lovely and they serve an excellent breakfast that was included with our stay. The property is an easy walk to the center of town at the Piazza del Campo, yet the location is quiet and rustic. In 2015 the lower level of the property was unfinished and they told us they were planning on turning it into a restaurant. We were absolutely stunned by the transformation upon our return. The restaurant is so beautiful and is the perfect setting for a sophisticated dining experience. The food was delicious and the two women who run it provide the type of service and delicious meals you would expect in a five star restaurant. We love this location and felt at home here. We hope to visit again on our next trip to Italy!
