The resort was wonderful. The 2 bedroom villa was incredibly spacious and perfectly equipped. The breakfast buffet was also great and the restaurant had great food. We eill definitely book here again. The rooms do need some cosmetic repair, so if you are ocd dont stay here. To me i value the affordable price and this is a great find.

I had issues with my shower not giving hot water and air on leaking in the seating area of my room, which I only noticed because I slipped on the floor where the leak was.

The issues were sorted out but I don’t think they should be happening in the first place.

Had a wonderful stay, all staff are wonderful, prompt and very friendly. Petri at the front service desk goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, pleasurable and will assist you with all inquiries. The resort is a lovely place even though some things look dated that is to be expected in the tropics, everything is clean, bed was very comfortable, 24hr room service, breakfast available till 11am, late checkout and the massage was sensational. Everything is there. Thank you to all staff for a great first time visit to Bali.

This property hotel was not what I saw on the photos. This hotel needs a facelift. Staff were ok pool room we had the pool was dirty and had to be cleaned twice..electrical in our room was poor with bad connection. . Communication was poor with staff . Breakfast was good with great food . Coffee was poor with no lite milk . Don't no why Expedia would put old photos of a hotel which is not up to scratch.

If I could give it 0 I would. So discusting, mould in rooms and bathrooms, the pool and restaurant are so run down. It’s past needing small Reno’s or cleaning.
Needs to be shut down and a complete redo.

Pool was nice with a great view. Needs more umbrellas at the pool area and the chairs need some cleaning as well. But pretty good otherwise and i would stay again.

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. The whole property is extremely tired and dirty. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. The pool area needs a good clean up. It appears management do not put any resources into cleaning around the property. What pictures we saw on-line and what the Lv8 advertise is not correct. The roof has a tarpaulin covering one side of the second storey ...very disappointed for what we paid for a family holiday.

Hotel is run down. Needs much more maintenance, paint job, refreshed furniture, power washing around the pool deck.

Breakfast buffet while the food was good, was often empty, and very slow to replenish.

They have far too many drink me I’d at the pool, and the staff were often confused : beer, then wine menu, cocktail menu, separate wine menu - all very confusing

The only great thing about his hotel is the pool. The beach is not great, only swam one day beside of the large waves all the time.

I would stay elsewhere.

The bones are here .. nice property but it needs a refresh.. room was fantastic - 1 Bedroom partial ocean view.. great size .. pool area is also fantastic.. staff cannot do enough for you .. there is a club down the beach - LOUD Fri and Sat nite till 430am music .. sounds like it’s coming from downstairs.. download Grab for taxi service .. lots of great restaurants nearby .. The property had mould growing all over curtains, the art, light fixtures, and throughout the room. There was evidence of water damage not just in room but all over the resort. There were buckets catching water from the ceilings for the bulk of our stay! It smelt and I saw old food left in stairways and halls. It was unclean and in dire need of upgrades!
We left halfway through our booked stay due to the state of the room! The staff were the only reason this place was tolerable!

We stayed for only 1 night over here. We paid 12,200 INR. We had booked 2 rooms. To start with the room, the rooms were very old. It demands renovation. The shower was not working properly. The mirrors were dirty. The towels were looking like they were used. The curtains were torned and stained. One room had very dirty view and obstructed view to ocean. Room no. 556. The right side view was very dirty with mud. The staff was not providing us shuttle service to us but other people were using their shuttle over hours. They finally helped us after insisting. The cutlery they provided were literally dirty. In a nutshell, they really need to up their customer service and their construction for the hotel. We are super disappointed.

When we booked this hotel we were very excited, but unfortunately upon arrival we realised it is not what it once was or what it looked like in the photos. The room we stayed in was very dirty and not well looked after. A lot of things either didn’t work or were in need of repair. The view of the beach we were supposed to have was actually a construction site. We did manage to get it cleaned up a bit once we spoke to the staff and they were very helpful in getting the room up to a liveable standard but unfortunately it still wasn’t great or worth the money we paid. Staff were very friendly and helpful but whoever owns this hotel really needs to put some TLC into it. Also very hard to sleep when you can feel and hear the bass from Atlas, Finns and VUE.

Can't fault the staff they were all amazing, the property is a little dated but still really good, beach view was stunning as well. The only thing we hated was the neighbouring properties have extremely loud parties every night....2.30am and it's so loud we didn't get any sleep for days. If you can get past the noise then yes we would recommend this property.

First impression was luxury, beautiful beach, swimming pool, fancy club and location.The breakfast is good, nothing special yet enjoyable. What we love most about breakfast time was the cordiality of the staffs, they are magnificent and quite attentive.
Whole hotel staffs are deserve a pat in the back.
And nothing beat it's location, beautiful surfing beach right behind it, Atlas and Fin club just a walking distance. Sunset is beautiful, Lv8 is located on the right spot to enjoy the sunset simply just by lounging on the side of the pool, or while swimming on it's infinity pool hence our favourite spot. The vibrant or soothing music always accompany every guest when they spend their time here.
The beach always lively and busy with activities provided by the hotel such as beach volley, beach tennis, soccer, etc. Surfing school also available just next door, never a boring day in the beach.
Yet as we spend more time here started to see the flaws.The Hotel is tired, really need some work to be done. Fine example which most Lv8 guests aggree on is the toilet, hard to flush that I have to do some handy work to the toilet pan mechanism. The shower head leaking out, crack tiles, including loose tile in the pool which I thought quite dangerous.
It is far from Bali center of crowd, traffic was horrible, will take at least 1 hour to get to Kuta or Seminyak.Always prepare extra time if you are planning to go to airport.
All in all we enjoyed our experience but won't rush back.Thanks.

This hotel was very nice, exactly as pictured. The location was great, a quick walk along the beach to the beach clubs, Finn and Atlas. The beach club and restaurant at the hotel, Vue, was also great. The hotel was right on the beach and had beautiful views of the sunset. The staff were very polite and helpful. They were able to arrange transportation for us to and from the airport. We had a great time here.

room two bedroom was lovely, outside to our room pool area and furniture was run down, the combined pool and lounge / club area were lovely. service however was beyond slow with our order lost once.
breakfast was terrible. Poor selection, poorly cooked. No milk on buffet and when requested not given fresh until numerous requests for same, no low fat option.
couldn’t put food on the room and when we eventually did they forgot to give it to reception at checkout and we ended up having a guy in whatsapp me threaten me that he had my phone number and face on his phone and knew who i was even after I said I was paying via credit card on the same day as checkout and within minutes of him messaging me reminding me of invoice. Front desk service ordinary- check in slow and poor to assist with things like transport vehicles, ideas of what to do or see .

The staff is excellent. The resort is run downed. Even the spa has calcium deposits on faucets, and cabinets are rotting. Pillows are musty smelling, electronic fixtures are loose or do not work, curtains are dirty. I am sure the pandemic has set keeping up back but it is not a 5 star resort which is what we expected. The staff's friendliness made up for many of the problems.

My room was really nice the bathroom was huge, bed was super cozy, and my pool in the room was cleaned a few times throughout my stay which was really nice. I was extremely disappointed with our stay. Checked in on the 21st of Jan to room 308, after staying the night we discovered stains on lamps, curtains couch pillows and doors, water-damaged walls, the toilet not flushing, tv cables hanging out of the walls and tv's blurry to the point we could not watch them, shower heads unfinished and loose and a puddle of water next to the bath that we had not even touched yet. After expressing to the manager our experience and that we wanted a refund for our stay as it was not what was advertised whatsoever, we were moved to a new room while waiting to be processed for a refund. After spending the next day out of the hotel we were hopeful that our stay would get better, however, while getting ready to go to bed that night we then discovered blood stains on our pillows, what seemed to be food stains on our bedsheets, as well as lipstick stains on the glasses next to the basin which we had not used yet. We were not given a refund for our 10-night stay and the best they could do was provide us with Rp400,000 each day to spend at the hotel bar or restaurant. For the 10 nights we were there we did not once go into the pool after reading feedback about how unhygienic it was and then seeing for myself the film of algae on top of the pool. The gym was extremely worn out, every machine I used was broken or dodgy to use and the gym toilets were always clogged or leaking. Room amenities when booking stated there was a safe however none provided.

Bathroom was constantly broken. Repairs were done almost daily but didn't permanently fix the problem. The air conditioning was stuck on 25degrees and couldn't be set lower. Even after the technician came and fixed it, the problem remained. We literally got used to sweating in the room.

We booked LV8 for a family holiday over New Year, many months ago and were very worried prior to arriving, based on the recent poor reviews. Unfortunately, we found these recent poor reviews very accurate and LV8 did not live up to expectations.
While we did not expect a brand new hotel, it should be 3 stars at best, not 5 stars as per Hotels.com site.
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, which was huge is size, but the room was smelly and mouldy. The maintenance person cleaned the air conditioning vents for us, but this made no difference to the smell. The curtains in both rooms had mould on them.
All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, however the service in the restaurant and poolside bar was very poor - even during relatively quiet times we were usually waiting about 20-30mins for a drink and sometimes over an 1 hr during other times. When comparing the restaurant’s prices & quality of food to other places nearby it also doesn’t stack up.
To finish on a positive, the pool side cabanas and infinity pool was a great place to chill and relax.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The condition of the hotel reflects the two year shut down. They are working hard to bring it back to the high standards that would be expected from a hotel of this cost. Be aware that traffic in Canguu is very very heavy all the time so you can’t just nip somewhere and walking on the roads around hotel isn’t advisable.

Did not live up to expectations. The hotel is run down, food is overpriced and often cold. The pool was so absolutely disgusting, full of algae. We travelled as a group of 8 adults and 7 kids and required visits from the doctor from what we suspect to be the condition of the pool. We were refunded 3 nights of our 5 night stay. The pool was also closed after our group complained when checking out. The location is right on the beach but there’s not really anything else located close by. Better of staying actually in Canggu within close vicinity of Batu Bolong.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at our LV8 stay! Maybe it was a 5-Star Hotel 10years ago, but definitely NOT anymore! The Hotel is extremely outdated and needs a urgent complete overhaul and renovation! The room is big but smelly, AC very loud, water in one shower not working, etc….
The staff tried to be helpful but their English skills were not so good…, at every Breakfast the order was not understood correctly and arrived wrong…, in the end I showed them pictures what we want.
The really only positive point was the Pool and the nice Beach directly in front, but that’s about it…

Very good location at Canggu beach front. Room is very big and comfortable. Excellent service and very friendly staff.
Breakfast is good, the restaurant has really nice ocean view. Pool is good, access to beach directly.
Room facility is good however lack of towels. Only supply two bath towels for two guests. No face towels, no hand towels supplied from daily house keeping cleaners.
We have encountered some noise problems due to renovation. Front Office manager Jaya Wisesa solved it right away.

The suites where excellent, pool area was fantastic with plenty of chairs and places to rest. The resort is a little outdated in some areas and would benefit some new carpets and paint. Breakfast was very Asian orientated but still nice.

Amazing stay and good value

Really lovely place to stay in Canggu. Secluded with great security (security check every car before a nice driveway brings you to the entrance), yet close to the all the bars and restaurants of Canggu. In addition it is right on the beach and ideally situated between two of Canggu’s most upmarket venues - Finn’s Beach Bar and Café Del Mar. My room was huge with a big terrace that overlooked the pool and sea, which I felt very lucky about! Staff were always very courteous and helpful, going out of their way on more than one occasion to help me (shuttling me to nearby money changers and Cafe Del Mar, and even helping repair my sunglasses). Gym was good with good selection of free weights and plenty of space. Pool was big and not too busy, I loved the way the water wove in around the sun beds as well

The hotel is in good design, facilities and I have private pool which is wonderful for me. But supply of hot water is not stable. And I found so many defects on wall tile. The door lock of aluminium window at balcony is broken. Door closer should be provided at front door to avoid sounds. Directional signage to all facilities should be provided for long corridor. The cleaning is not good enough and I found dirty hatch on towels.

Old hotel, weird smells, falling apart

The hotel looks really nice on first glance but just walking to the room you can see how unkempt and old it is. The hotel is not being maintained well at all. There are weird moldy smells everywhere (room, hallway). Stains on furniture in the rooms. None of the lights in our bathroom worked.

We only stayed here one night for our flight the next day so it wasn't a big deal, but for anyone staying here multiple days or for vacation I would not recommend it.

Stop ripping your customers off.

Noisy construction during the day (sometimes we just decided to stay in and cuddle) and made it difficult to enjoy each other after not seeing each other for 5 months. Service at the restaurant was subpar and we were handed dirty pool towels on two different occasions (appeared to be dried blood) coincidence? It took three tries for my room service to be accurate. The sauna was out of service during my entire one week stay! Surely I paid a portion of the operating costs. Decor is extremely tacky and slightly crooked or old and falling apart. Walls had been poorly maintained. There was a handprint (not sure with what substance) on the upholstery in the wall.

Staff were wonderful. The location is nice, right on the beach with lovely sunsets, but not much in walking distance and can be awkward getting a taxi. The building and facilities are old, not really 5* quality any more, probably were once upon a time. The pool is very nice, right on the beach.

This hotel was excellent. It's a beautiful building in a great location with excellent facilities. The hotel is looking a little old in some places and could use minor improvements but overall this is very minor. The breakfast was excellent every day.
