My wife and I had an absolutely incredible 8-night stay at The Komu last year. Our room on the 5th floor was beautifully decorated, and the entire hotel has such a great vibe with fantastic amenities - especially the rooftop pool and amazing staff. Breakfast is à la carte, and wow… we still talk about how good the food was. Truly one of the best hotel options in the area. Highly recommended

Good central location, walking distance to a variety of restaurants, massage and some shops. Plenty of cafes close by for breakfast with good variety with better option than the in house restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Only downside is it can be slightly loud at times at night being in Canggu and some construction happening next door but only a small issue.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Staff (front desk reception, housekeeping, etc.) were all extremely kind, helpful, and patient. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, provide us with recommendations, and quickly resolve any concerns. Housekeeping was on top of everything, leaving our room very clean! Best service I've ever had.

The Komu was a walking distance from everything we wanted to check out in Canggu, very close to beaches, shops, restaurants, beach clubs, etc. The room itself is cozy, clean, and has everything we need. The hotel even has a gym open 24 hours and a pool open until later in the evening. I'd come back to this place if I visit Bali again in the future.

I love everything about The Komu. I have stayed here multiple times now and I refer to this as my home away from home. The staff are so stunningly kind and accommodating. The property is modern and minimalistic with beautiful natural materials and textures throughout the apartment, which appeals to my style. I cannot rate The Komu high enough. Lovely hotel but absolutely lacking privacy

My stay here was pretty good but marred by the workman next door constantly lurking at me in my private lounge pool. It was creepy and I had to stop using it. They were also looking into my room. Plunge pool gets no sun at all if that’s what you are considering booking. Staff should consider guests when allocating rooms considering that there is no privacy from the perves next door for pool use. Also rooftop pool is tiny and lacks shelter

Truly loved this place. The interior was beautifully done and w felt rented to another place that felt like a modern Japan. So many small details well thought out. Great restaurants on the first floor. Excellent steakhouse and the nachos at the Mexican place are great. Really loved it!

I am compelled to write a great review for this establishment simply because I was blown away with this hotel. Prior to coming to this hotel I had stayed in 3 others and this by far was my favorite! It smelt great, location was right by all beach clubs, Cafe, shops and more. Rooms are spacious and staff so kind. My breakfast was delicious. I had a hard time leaving to go home. I'm sure they remember me at the front desk nearly in tears...lol. I will definitely be back.

First time visiting Caangu area. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had an array of lovely eateries within minutes and shops for some retail therapy in very easy walking distance. Staff were very helpful & friendly and I even got a room upgrade to a premium king suite which was a bonus! Beautiful rooms & given my room faced the road, I slept uninterrupted and didn’t hear any traffic noise! I also managed to see the sunrise in the morning too which I didn’t know if I’d see but as I drew the curtains, there it was!

The property was new however for the price it was really not up to my expectations. The toilet and lifts had a weird smell. The room is next to construction and it was noisy. The entrance of the hotel is via a restaurant and it felt quite basic. Having stayed in other properties in Bali, I have paid similar prices for more comfortable accommodation.

Overall the room is very huge and comfortable and it was amazing we loved it but we heard people noise while they get out from the vault night club

Also the some of the staff helped us when we got a bali belly and call a doctor as soon as possible they was very helpful

But we don’t like some staff behavior when we called several times to take tests samples for the doctor and they didn’t show up we delivered it and the nurse was waiting

Also I had a suggestion for the hotel to improve their din in restaurant because it’s limited ( Mexican food ) and we don’t eat pork

The room is beautiful, spacious and had great amenities - toiletries, water, coffee, hairdryer, robes which I did really appreciate.
The room itself could have been cleaned better. Found a set of false eyelashes by the bathtub and it was still very dusty under the bed. There were also a lot of ants that kept migrating into my belongings despite me not having food in the room. Also, there is construction nearby so be prepared for that noise. Overall the hotel is beautiful and in a very convenient location were you have access to many restaurants and stores.

The Komi management surprised me by upgrading my room to a plunge pool studio suite!! It was huge! Even has an induction stove! Bed was comfy but I guess I still like watching free to watch tv channels rather than YouTube and Netflix. A concern for this suite is the toilet and shower as it’s raised platform, it may challenging for older folks, young children and even for adults who had to wake up in the middle of the night to use the toilet or even after a shower. Thank you for the late check out and Thank you for your hospitality!

The western and Japenese restaurant are under construction, so do expect a bit of noise and dust during day time. Hope the staff will remember to water the indoor plant. The plant in the room was dehydrated and it seems like no one has water it for a very long time. We water the plant and clean the leaves, the plant looked revived.

The hotel is in a good location to explore Canggu and its beaches and has a lot of nightlife spots around it.
Only downside is there is no sound proofing to the rooms ( we could hear everything from conversations in the hall, water running in other rooms and quiet noises like cats in the street)

and it’s next to a busy walkway to a club where you can hear people all night and drums from the clubset till 4am, and the other side of the walkway is a large construction / demolition site which started to dig and drill from 9am.


The quality of the rooms, beds and amenities is amazing, the AC works a dream and kept the room comfortable and the staff cannot do any more.
Would recommend if you’re planning on being out later than 3am every night and are a heavy sleeper

I had a very pleasant stay at the Komu. As a tourist I would say the hotel is located conveniently in one of the two main areas in Canggu. It is close to quite a few restaurants & bars and the beach & beach clubs are only a 15 min ride away. What really set the hotel apart was the service level & friendliness of the staff. They always had a smile on their face all times of the day and were always on hand to help or assist. The hotel app that you download upon arrival at the hotel is also super helpful in communicating with staff.
On my last day at the hotel, I fell ill…the dreaded “bali belly” and the staff were helpful in getting me medical assistance and allowing me to check out late at no extra cost.

Beautiful hotel and staff, area is noisy though. First night we had the thumping music from the adjacent nightclub, second night we moved rooms but had constant banging noises from somewhere upstairs, followed by building works next door which started at 7:30am Sunday morning! The other minor issue was that hotel seems to be devoid of irons and ironing boards! Location was great, plenty of top eating spots nearby.

We were delighted with our one-night stay. This was just a quick stopover so we weren’t too fussy about where to book, however we were so pleasantly surprised by this accommodation! The staff were very accommodating of a late check-in after our flight was delayed. They upgraded us to a larger room with plunge pool, which our toddler enjoyed. The hotel itself is very new and conveniently located to restaurants and shops. The design of the rooms is very clever and impressive, comfort level was superior, and the staff friendliness and helpfulness was excellent. We highly recommend and would stay here again!

The only small little thing to note is the bathroom is a step lifted, meaning you'll have to step up to the room - shouldn't be a major issue for most but for people. Just that all of us need to be extra careful stepping in and out of the bathroom - but this doesn't deter me from re-booking this place.
