This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. Such great service and facilities. The gym was great for hotel gym. The food at the cafe was incredible. The co-working spaces ideal if you're doing a work holiday. The staff were amazing.

This place is a must stay if you are ever in Canggu! The location is great, the facilities are great, the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much for them, and the cafe has an amazing and wide-variety of choice.
The staff went above and beyond for me whilst staying here, not once but twice! First time I got sick and so they called a doctor out to me and they arrived within 10 mins of calling.
Secondly, and very kindly, I had accidentally left a pair of shorts on my balcony on the day I left the hotel and as I wasn’t returning to the same area after a few days on a different island, they agreed to arrange a courier to bring the shorts to the next hotel I was staying at, which was over 1 hour away. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the hotel/resort was beautifully laid out around various swimming pools scattered around the site amongst tropical plants and trees, with delightful bamboo structures, 100 m from Canggu beach. We were given an upgrade to our room because of the intermittent but persistent firework bangs coming from beach partying each night until 4am, which made a good nights sleep almost impossible. So be warned!

They try hard but regrettably the property is located near an entertainment precinct where loud music plays until 5am each day making it difficult to sleep and rest. It is also located next to canal where the worst odour (raw sewerage) is emanating into the property and villas all day, every day. The property needs maintenance as the villa we were staying in needed urgent attention.

I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was so helpful. Always checking in to make sure that I have everything I needed. The location is great steps from the beach and it’s a fun area. It’s lots of stuff to do. I’ll definitely come back next time. I’m in Bali.

Where do I start?

We booked a deluxe bamboo room, which was really lovely. However, the hotel is close to a beach bar that blasts music till about 3am at night, and is incredibly loud. There was also a very large corporate group that used the shared space for a bit, but made a lot of noise.

We were offered another room in the main building which is much much quieter. The rooms in this building could have been in any hotel in the world, and did not have any character, however you can’t hear the beach clubs. This would have been fine, had there not been a leak from a vent in our bathroom about 3 hours after moving to the room. The ceiling in the bathroom was sagging slightly around the vent, and there was a large puddle of water. We were moved for the second time that day (at 11pm at night, with a baby), to another room.

All in all, a terrible stay. The people that work at the hotel are lovely, and accommodating, however I am frustrated by the experience and the process we had to go through to get compensation (which was little, required us chasing it and not accurately explained).

I had a perfect stay at Zin Villas in Canggu. The team here is incredible – especially Python and Doddy in the restaurant, who went above and beyond to make every meal feel special. The food and service were excellent throughout my stay.

I also treated myself at the spa and tried both the traditional and signature massages – both were absolutely perfect and such a highlight of my trip.

The rooms are lovely and well designed, with very comfy beds that made it easy to relax. The only thing to note is that the area can get a bit loud at night due to nearby clubs, but if you don’t mind some nightlife sounds, everything else about Zin Villas is amazing.

Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Canggu!

Beautiful property, but if you prefer silence and quiet hours to sleeps, this isn’t for you. However if you love partying and being close to the beach bars that blast their music until 4am, you will absolutely love it! I also understand that they have newer, quieter suites so if you’re looking for a mix, check those out.

Perfect location close to beach and restaurants.
With canggu traffic you need to stay at a location like this and get around on foot.
Food was great, beds comfortable and numerous pools so didn’t feel crowded.
Cafe is busy with people and laptops that can have access to pools as day rate. Would just need to monitor to make sure nomads don’t take over paying guests.
Will be interesting to see impact of build across the road as it looks like a club street facing is about to open which would ruin the quiet and peace at Zin.

Zin in Canggu was the perfect stay after a week in Seminyak. The staff was more than accommodating for all of our needs. Any time we needed transportation or had questions about the area they were quickly answered or taken care of. The room was gigantic with two showers a giant bed and dinette perfect for morning coffee. I happily sat on our balcony watching people go about their day while I enjoyed a drink and snack outside. The cafe on the property was great for breakfast as well as a place to hang out before our room was ready. The pools were beautiful and serene. Just a few minutes walking to the ocean where I was able to rent a surfboard and enjoy my time without lugging a ton of stuff with me because our room was so close. Also the gym and spa were great additions which my partner and I took full advantage of. I would happily stay at Zin again on my next trip to Bali!

Beautiful stay in Canggu

ZIN offered a beautiful accommodation during our honeymoon! We stayed in a private pool villa—it was a lush and relaxing home base for our time in Canggu, with plenty of privacy and modern conveniences. We made use of the many amenities ZIN offered and the gym, spa, and cafe were all excellent.

We stayed in a beautiful pool side villa, which was huge and had heaps of space. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. There are multiple pools to swim in. The massage at the spa was one of the best I've ever had. The staff were great and very helpful. The food was very good. The only downsides for us were the business of Canggu, we didn't feel very safe walking as the streets are really narrow and there is a lot of traffic. Also at night time you can hear the bass from Finn's beach club down the road

Fantastic hotel with wonderful, attentive staff! The staff were so helpful and helped us with our luggage and sorted our airport shuttle. Our driver - Maharishi (Jimmy) was excellent and picked us up from the airport. The cafe attached was also fantastic, with lots of options for food!

Overall, the ZIN Canggu hotel is a disappointment. The hotel is overpriced considering its condition and offers a mediocre experience. Upon arrival, the welcome experience was underwhelming as the staff did not accommodate my request for a later breakfast time, even though I needed to surf early in the morning.

Although the pictures of the hotel appear inviting, the reality is quite different. The hotel shows signs of aging, with stained towels and a lack of power outlets near the bed, although there is a reading light. The closet is difficult to access, adding to the inconvenience. Additionally, the spa is located near a sticky river, which takes away from the relaxation experience. During my complimentary 30-minute massage, the staff skipped the feet washing process, resulting in an uncomfortable sensation as they rubbed my feet before my legs.

Furthermore, the mini fridge in the room looks outdated and reminiscent of the 80s.

On a positive note, the hotel manager, Didik, was friendly and accommodating. He extended the breakfast time and allowed for a later check-out, which I greatly appreciated. However, even with the extended breakfast time, the breakfast itself was lackluster and did not meet expectations.

In conclusion, the ZIN Canggu hotel does not live up to its advertised image. The hotel is overpriced for its condition, with underwhelming amenities and average service.

Wonderful hotel. Shame about building work noise

The room was ready upon our return from an early arrival, and bags were already taken up. The rooms are a good size with a balcony overlooking the central pool.

There is a riverside pool as well which has more sun than the other, waiters came over to the table from the main restaurant but was a shame that the bar area there is clearly no longer used.

The restaurant at the hotel was really nice and chilled with the waiters/waitresses quick to take your order and help.

The in-house massage was excellent. We had the free 15 minute massage which was complimentary and then I had the massage and scrub which was wonderful.

The one major downside was the building work. During the day we were out so it wasn’t so bad but we were given a room which backed directly onto the building site. The building work started around 7/7.30 which meant we were woken up early and it did go on all day. I don’t think this was emphasised enough when the hotel was advertised and perhaps the rooms they back onto it directly shouldn’t be used

The hotel looks beautiful in pictures but is it worth the price. Absolutely not. The construction next to the hotel starts at 7am and goes on till pretty late. At night, be prepared for loud music. I didn't get much rest here. Bathroom stank of pee. Upon check in, no one informed me about the amenities/facilities. Some guests received a 15 min complimentary massage - I didn't. So not sure if that offer is only for some guests? Again, it's not a bad property but just not worth the price at all.

We loved having everything on site. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the spa, the bar, the restaurant and the convenient location. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Even with construction happening nearby I would stay again.
