Beautiful views. Breakfast choices were great. Dinner choices were fine, slightly repetitive but queue for food was tiresome. It must be crazy high season!
Resorts very close by with lovely walks along the beach path.

Lovely hotel on the coast between Dubrovnik and Split. Rooms were a touch on the small side, but adequate. The pool areas were lovely and there are steps straight down to the beach. There are two little villages each a 10 minute walk along the beach path in either direction.

The gym is small, but you can do a workout and it's right by the sea so has good views. Breakfast had lots of options. My only niggle is the fake orange juice from a machine but that seems to be in every hotel in Croatia. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but they will take your car off site if you don't need it.

All in all, a lovely relaxing stay.

This is the third time at this hotel and really enjoyed it before but think it’s gone down hill a little bit, it’s looking a bit tired now and a bit grubby in places. The room was nice but a little grubby and felt sticky in places too so I bought some disinfectant wipes and wiped it over which I think I shouldn’t have to do. Pools were really nice but seems ants everywhere crawling on the seats outside the pool bar and down by the sun beds had some nasty bites from them so couldn’t relax there, there was even a locus on the seat eating them, don’t know why these areas are not sprayed.
The entertainment was a bit rubbish made u want to go to bed in the eve. Food wasn’t great a lot of the time things were cold we don’t like cold food and a lot of the time the mains were a bit rubbish.
I thought the hotel was dog free except for blind ones but we spotted a few around the corridors and even sitting on someone’s lap in the dining room which we didn’t think was hygienic at all and we’ve never seen that in dining rooms before, one of the staff even brought a bowl for the dog. I don’t mind dogs but have an allergy to them and certainly don’t think they should be around the food or the dining tables. Not all the holiday was bad but we def won’t be going back there again it’s slipped a lot since we were there before.

A nice hotel, but not 5 star for a few reasons i.e cramped pool area, average service, chaotic dining, disruptive cleaners/maids, not a great deal of options for food intolerances.

While they may seem pedantic, there are certain levels of service and amenities you expect from 5 start that were unfortunately lacking.

The hotel is excellent. Modern, spacious room with excellent facilities in the hotel. We stayed on a half board basis (breakfast and dinner) and there was enough choice for food during our stay. The pools are great and there are enough loungers spread across the pool areas. The hotel is right next to the beach which has crystal blue waters. There is a well lit walkway to take you the short walk either to Baška Voda or Brela…both of which have a number of bars and restaurants if you fancy a change of scene from the hotel. The only slight complaint is the staff are extremely keen to clear plates and tables when dinner or breakfast service ends. So if you are coming in at the tail end of these periods for food, you can feel a bit rushed. Drinks in the hotel are extra including water but are reasonably priced for a hotel. Overall, an excellent hotel in a lovely location and will definitely return.

Quality hotel in a gorgeous part of the world.

This is a nice hotel. Modern, elegant, clean - right on beach. Gym is OK - could be better - but could be A LOT worse. Spa was good - massage treatment was decent (which says a lot because it is hard to find good 'deep tissue' massage) - although I was told it was 60 min and I am sure it was more like 45 min, max of 50 min (I didn't argue about it - doing so after the treatment is futile).

In general, the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. Bravo.

The breakfast is nice. You are right on the beach within walking distance of everyone one can do in this area.

Just came back from a wonderful stay at Berulia Hotel in Brela. The place is modern, clean, with the most incredible views. The water at the beach is so clear and blue. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace was beautiful, the food is very good and good variety. I can highly recommend a holiday there if you want to relax. There’s not very much else to see or do in Brela. You can do day trips though. The whole place (hotel and village) ist built on a hill so lots of stairs and steep walks. It could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. We had a great time.

We fly over from Canada and we get the worst room,, it was like besment. Only one window small size no sunlight whatsoever. When you book the room they said is classic room. For that money what we spent on it., it is horrible. Cleaning stuff was amazing they keep the room clean and they were friendly . Front desk only one man deserves our thanks . Ivan the young man he was amazing ,we thank him for the help .

Stay was good, towel situation at the pool was very annoying. You had to give a card each day to collect the towels and then collect the card again when dropping them back. Coffee with non-dairy milk cost extra. Bed was two singles pushed together. Service and staff were excellent.

The staff were very efficient and helpful. The food was good.
However compared with UK standards this was not a 5 star hotel. The parking cost 3 kunas per day for somebody to park your car somewhere on the very cramped site. If you needed it they would often have to play multi car shuffle in order to get it out again. Sometimes we would have to wait 15 minutes just to get our car. Also although this was supposed to be smoke free hotel it was impossible to eat a meal out on the terrace or by the pool without having it spoilt by clouds of smoke wafting over. Even my two teenagers found it disgusting especially at breakfast.
The evening entertainment was very limited and the vocalist who sang most nights was consistently out of tune. Furthermore there was no evening entertainment at all on Saturday evenings which for early August and the holiday season seems bizarre.
Although the staff were probably one of the hotel’s best assets they often forgot to replenish the hospitality tray.
I think next time I would find a hotel away from all the crowds too as the nearest public beach and town were packed and the beach covered in litter. The hotel’s own beach was better however.

Now if you have been to a 5 star hotel (especially in the US) you will know that this hotel by any means is not a 5 star. Maybe a fair 3.5 -4 star at the most. The rooms are crowded but clean. The AC works well. They gave us a room the reeked of cigarettes even though we requested a non smoking room. However, once we complained they quickly put us in a different room. The location is nice if you are looking to rest, peace and quiet. The restaurants are fairly close 5-10 minute walk. The hotel does not provide free beach chairs so if you are planning to go to the beach be prepared to pay for these ( about 20-25$ per day) They are free by the pool however. We paid for the half board (breakfast and dinner) and the food is good. Just be aware that at dinner they don’t offer any water so you are forced to buy their bottled water $5 per bottle (ridiculous). We stayed there with young kids and there are no activities for kids offered at all. Overall, this place is too expensive for what they have too offer.

This is a first class hotel in all respects. From the moment we arrived we were treated royally, with welcome drinks, friendly and helpful staff who provided us with helpful information. One night stop over.

Our initial room was great, spacious with great view but the air con did not work. After a couple of hours of trying to fix it we were relocated to another room, not quite as nice but at least air con worked. One thing to note is there is no lift for the room we were moved to which involved a few flights down and up.
Included buffet dinner and breakfast very good. If the air con had been working the hotel would have been 5 out of 5.

A real gem right on the beach

Having stayed at this hotel some 15 years ago, I was pleasantly surprised by the recent refurbishment. The new infinity pool has added a very contemporary feel to it. Everything is kept immaculately clean, staff are friendly. If you are on a half board basis, the restaurant can be hectic at dinner time, but there is a good choice of dishes including vegetarian ones.
I would say, beware if you are of limited mobility. There are loads of steps from the hotel to the beach. But there are other routes to reach it.
We've stayed at other hotels in Brela in the past, and this is far the best. We'll be back.

Lovely hotel with great facilities and the added bonus of a private beach area. We really enjoyed our stay but the younger members of the waiting staff seemed to lack training in basic politeness and engagement with guests. This was a pity because otherwise our experience was generally positive. Oh and I should mention that we did have raw meat served as part of a meal which caused quite severe stomach upset and veg was cold despite being sent back once. This was not dealt with very professionally.

We had very nice and relaxng stay at this hotel. I would highly recomend this hotel to everyone. Very nice sea view from your room balcony,exellent ,hardworking and very approachable staff,quality food during breakfast and dinner servings and all in all very good hotel !!

Nice hotel. Especially staff. We booked our stay through Expedia, and description was totally wrong. Our room was with small hole immitating window. After my intervention we were transferred to Marina H. for 2 days to much nicer room. After 2 days very nice room with butifull view was offered to us. Apart of that all staff was nice, helpfull and polite all the time. Also great location, near to Brela and Baska Voda. Either you prefers quiet, family stay or party till morning.

Lovely holiday in Hotel Berulia . Steps from the hotel lead to a small shingle beach and turquoise clear water. Coastal path one way leads to Brela and the other direction to Baska Voda. Hotel was lovely but would not be suitable for those with mobility problems as lots of stairs. Good variety of food always something you would eat. Dining room staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and quiet. Entertainment each night

Lovely hotel although....

The hotel itself was lovely, clean with very friendly staff. We booked a sea view room however you can't really see the sea for the trees - not a too bad a problem but it is not inviting to sit on the balcony as it is a very small concrete slab Rather than a balcony! The room was very comfortable but a little on the small side for the price. Breakfast was good with a wide selection available. A lovely pool onsite although it would be a little better if the local kids didn't keep popping in! All in all I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Croatia as it has a good central location without being in the heart of noise.

Comfortable, airy, clean room with great views. Restaurants within a reasonable walk along the beach. One of the best breakfast buffets we've seen outside of a Vegas casino. We later stated at another \"luxury\" hotel in Zadar for the same price. The Bluesun wins in every regard as the best place to stay.

Beautiful seaside resort for the price

I was given a room with a beautiful sea view; however the interior of the room wasn't quite up to par. First, it had a bad smell and the the jets in the showers and the hair dryer were not functioning properly. The staff was very responsive to my requests, and they worked immediately to remedy the situation.

It was just okay

it's a fine hotel, nothing great or bad about it. It would all depend on the price of it for me then to come back since there's nothing luxury or exceptional about the hotel but at the same time I didn't have any bad experience with them either. Only note is the sea view is pretty much blocked by tall trees.

Nice hotel, with good location. Lies at the border of Brela and Baska Voda. Centre of both resorts are within walking distance. Baska Voda more crowded, Brela centre smaller but more exclusive. Beach very nice, easy walk down the stairs from hotel. Parking at the hotel can be difficult in high season, though always found a parking place t the end. Service in hotel overall good. Food selection quite basic and quality of dishes could be better.

Mycket trevligt. Dock missade vi med detta havsutsikten men det kunde vi gå till istället.
Fin frukost och mycket service inriktad personal.
Har du svårt att gå i trappor så är detta inte hotellet för dig om du vill bada i havet.

Schönes Hotel in mitten eines Pinienwaldes.
Nicht für Personen mit Gehschwäche, da es viel Bereiche mit Treppen (ohne Aufzug) gibt.

Das essen ist gut und auch die Auswahl ist okay, aber die Atmosphäre im Speisesaal erinnert an eine Werkskantine. (Laut und ungemütlich)

Amex wird nicht akzeptiert.

Das Hotel hat keine eigenen (kostenlosen) Liegen am Strand. Eine liege kostet 10€ und ein Schirm 5/8€.

Nice location, but not a 5 star quality hotel

The hotel is nicely located directly at the beach but not accessible for people with disability or have problems walking. It is a lot of stars up and down to the pool and beach. There is only elevators within the hotel to some of the floors.

The hotel was clean, but most of the staff wasn't service minded for being a 5 star hotel.

The breakfast was really nice but the dinner was just ok.

This hotel will not fullfill your standard if you are used to 5 star hotels from US/Western Europe/Asia.

Hotel à proximité des plages et des villes de brela et baska voda a pied, balade le soir le long de la mer.
Petit déjeuner bien au niveau du choix , mais le soir les plats préparés sont faîts avec des légumes surgelés....ce nest pas correct pour un hotel de cette gamme.
Le personnel est tres gentil et souriant , cest agréable.

In general we had a pleasant stay there.

Definetely not 5*! Value for money not enough, food was ok but also not as amazing as mentioned in other reviews.
There are a couple staff members who are doing their jobs well. But vast majority of them are unfriendly, kind of cheeky and havent learnt what service means.

Good things:
Rooms are clean and comfy beds.
Sea/Beaches are amazing (very busy in high season)
Nice pool - infinty style and in general good vibes and environment outside

Abbiamo prenotato questo albergo con mezza pensione, il ristorante è ottimo, abbiamo mangiato sia per la colazione sia per la cena davvero benissimo, hanno tanta scelta ed è tutto buono. Camera bella, peccato che la doccia non aveva la porta quindi si riempiva il bagno con l’acqua. Pessima gestione della piscina e spiaggia, non ci sono i lettini, troppe persone e pochi lettini

Brela is a super cozy and beautiful place. This hotel is located perfectly by the beach and the beach walk. The beach below is also very beautiful with crystal clear water.

Great pool area and nice hotel. The standard is not to be compared to a five-star hotel and our room were not very good. But worth the price!
