This is an amazing hotel. The position is perfect, right on the water. The old town and bus stop really close by. The pool is beautiful, overlooking the sea. One of the best equipped hotels we've seen. Lots for families, bath mat and rail if needed etc etc they have to thought of everything. Great breakfast . Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The outdoor pool was so clean and wonderful! So refreshing and perfect in the sun to sit on the sun bed and tan all day! Has very good facilities for indoor swimming and outdoor, I love that the beach view is opposite! Very friendly professional and happy attitude staff. Cinema room for the kids, table tennis, live music for adults in the evenings, gym, so a very good hotel to do a lot of things there!

Lovely Hotel, great Staff and lovely Facilities. Only let down were the rooms, booked a 2+1, note that it is small for 3 adults, suits two adults and child and even then it would be tight. The staff did try and offer an alternative but unless you pay for an additional room the rooms are similar in size. Enjoyed our stay here and would staff again.

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The amenities are really nice. The pool that overlooks the beach is beautiful. It’s a lifesaver as the beach is overcrowded. The rooms are ok, but the bathroom very small and outdated. There is a club near the hotel and music is blasting. Good luck getting sleep. The hotel is green so AC is limited to 23. I would not stay here again.

Good hotel with service to match at a price as is everything in Croatia. A 7 day cruise would be cheaper and a lot more exciting, especially when you take the car parking fees into consideration. But the Valamar Meteor is probably one of the best in Makarske and would recommend it.

Excellent location . We had booked a superior room with seaview terrace but were very disappointed with the room . Although we did not complain, we referred to this in a review the hotel asked us for shortly after arrival. Immediately the manager responded and he and his team went out of their way to offer us three alternative room choices. We were very impressed with their response and moved to another room of the same grade but with much better proportions. The hotel is very clean and comfortable , newly refurbished and the staff are very efficient and friendly . Breakfast buffet has a very wide selection as does the evening buffet. The location right on the beach is superb as is the pool area . Arguably the best hotel on this stretch of coastline and within minutes of the old town . Bus station is only 5 minutes away from where you can travel to major centres of Split, Dubrovnik and Mostar over the border for superb sightseeing and stunning scenery all round.

Great hotel in a really chill and relaxing area which felt very safe.
Loved the c40m long infinity pool where you could hang out in the shade of the trees watching the world go by a stones throw from the beach.
Even in mid August no problem getting a sun bed, double bed or bean pillows to sit on (and umbrella) either at the pool or one of the other more shaded areas.
Loads of great restaurants right on the beachfront to choose from for dinner.

La struttura è molto bella, il personale molto cordiale e gentile e a disposizione per ogni evenienza. La colazione inclusa era eccezzionale, molto variegata e ottima sotto tutti i punti di vista.
Le piscine e le strutture dedicate ai bambini sono ottime e anche il Maro Club è stata una piacevole sorpresa per nostro figlio. Aspetto da sottolineare sono le sdraio in piscina e i teli mare inclusi nel prezzo. In generale tutto pulito e curato. La posizione della struttura è eccezzionale, di fronte alle spiagge e a 5min a piedi dal centro di Makarska.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic position right on the seafront and only 5 mins walk from the harbour. Staff were helpful and friendly and the daytime animation team were excellent - everything was lovely except for the evening entertainment which was poor - e.g. there was nothing on Saturday night

The room was really small and smelt odd, but not bad. The air con didn’t work. The bathroom needed updating as the shower was in a really odd position and the tiles were cracked and old. The staff were excellent and the location is great, directly on the beach, but the saxophone music in the bar in the evening was beyond awful (the singers were good though).

Spa was booked up. Room had 2 bunk beds when we walked in -- relieved to find the 2 single beds in the other room. Good amount of space. Clean. No carpet which is great. There were a few airplanes overhead but didn't wake me at night

It was in a good location with good restaurants close by. The only negative was that there is hardly a beach and when we arrived in the afternoon both the beach and pool area were full with no room to manoeuvre. We only stayed one night so don't know what it's like to reserve loungers or a spot on the beach in the morning.

The location is great right on the promenade where there is plenty of restaurants and only a short walk 10mins to the marina.The hotel is not that great we had bed and breakfast the food was ok nothing special and was packed out everyday,staff were not very friendly apart from a man at reception who was very helpfull,we would not stay here again.

We had 8 nights in this hotel and we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and resort. We used public transport to get to Makarska which was cheap about £9 pp each way. This included shuttle bus from airport to Split and bus from Split to Makarska. This gave us the opportunity to spend a few hours looking around Split on our way home. We used the left luggage facility at the bus station while we did this. Makarska is a lovely resort for wandering, having an old town with a very quaint square and the harbour area which is always busy and interesting. We did the island trip on the Jardan which was a real family party boat and a great opportunity to see a bit of Hvar and Brac. This trip is very popular so it is a good idea to book up when you arrive. We did a lot of walking along lovely coastal paths in one direction as far as Brela and to Tucepi in the other direction. lots to see along the way and plenty of opportunity to have a dip in the beautiful sea. There are very few English speaking tourists around but the staff in the hotel and restaurants all speak good English. We ate in different restaurants every night and enjoyed all our meals.One of our favourites was restaurant Bura at the harbour.

Our stay in Hotel Meteor was a wonderful experience would be happy to recommend it to everyone. So convenient to walking along the beach and markets. Enjoyed the breakfast as well as dinner at night. The rooms were very comfortable the only thing I could criticise at all would be the pillows being far too soft...it was the same all over Europe not just at The Meteor. Many thanks to all the staff for an enjoyable stay, thank you.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut! Pool und Außenanlage schön! Das Essen super! Unser Zimmer hat mir nicht so gut gefallen! Es war zu klein für 10 Tage! Wir haben unsere Koffer nicht ganz auspacken können, der Kleiderschrank zu klein. Das Badezimmer war nicht gut! Die Badewanne mit Dusche undicht, so das immer Wasser ins Badezimmer lief! Es wurde uns gesagt, dass ein anderes Zimmer evtl. einen schlechteren Ausblick haben könnte! Also wurden Handtücher hingelegt. Sehr schön war der Meerblick vom Balkon. Kühlschrank war gut! Die Kopfkissen ungemütlich! Alles in allem hatten wir aber einen schöner Urlaub!

Wir hatten Unterkunft mit Frühstück gebucht. Das Frühstücksbüffet war wirklich sehr ansprechend. Es wäre vielleicht nett, den Kaffee oder Tee serviert zu bekommen.
An der Rezeption war man sehr bemüht, vorgetragene Wünsche zu erfüllen.

Vi reiste med et barn på 2 år, og dette hotellet var helt perfekt for det. Fantastiske lekearealer, barnebasseng etc. Reiser med stor sannsynlighet tilbake hit med barn igjen. Litt små rom, og eldre standard på bad.

Die Zimmer sind recht klein, aber schön eingerichtet. In den Betten haben wir gut geschlafen.

Underbar personal, speciellt i restaurangen. Vi hade vår dotter på 6 månader med oss och de lekte och skojade med henne varje dag.
Jättebra lekrum som man kunde vara i när solen var som starkast och man inte ville vara ute med bebisen.
Bra med gratis solosångar och parasoll vid poolen (tips att gå upp tidigt för att få några), både barnpoolen och stora poolen var jättebra.
Det enda som var lite minus var badrummet på rummet, känns som allt är renoverat förutom det.

좀 오래된 숙소이긴하나 시설이 막 낙후되거나 더럽진 않았습니다. 깔끔하고 좋았습니다. 침대 살짝 삐걱거린 것 말고는 만족했습니다. 석식 조식 부페 다 먹었는데 메뉴도 많고 좋았습니다. 풀 이용도 편했고 호텔 바로 뒤로 비치도 있어서 비치 이용도 편했어요. 비치타올 빌려주시고 풀도 무료이용이지만 비치 썬베드는 따로 돈 받습니다. 하루 50쿠나입니다. 여긴 맘편히 수영하고 놀기좋고 휴양하기엔 최고입니다.
