The rooms are a bit run down. We booked for 3 pax per room, and yet we needed to ask for extra towels, cups. The room was also missing floor mat, which I think is most essential to prevent falls in the toilet, especially with kids or elderly.

Lovely family time at the resort. The check in process was smooth and they allowed us to do so early as well, which was appreciated as we were travelling with an infant. The facilities are dated but clean. Staff were always friendly, and Regina from the kids club went out of her way to entertain my elder kid. Worth coming back again with family, especially if you intend on a laid back trip.

Please take this as constructive feedback, not a complaint.
We first stayed here in June 2025 and returned in September 2025.
In June 2025, our room had soap dispensers on top of small bottles of body wash and shampoo.
In September 2025, our room had no dispenser. Not sure if only some rooms have dispensers, or if it wasn’t installed in ours.
All in all the service is fantastic

Property is quite old and facilities do not seem well taken care of. Given the location is far from centre of Batam, more focus should be paid in maintenance and cleanliness.
Issues noted:
1. There was a dead cockroach in the room.
2. Water in the bathtub came out brown for the first 2-3 minutes on the first day before becoming clear.
3. No lifeguard was present at deep pool. Slide was not slippery.
4. Air hockey and the basketball machine not working in the arcade.
5. Thai restaurant double charged on the credit card.
6. Wifi does not have a password (I.e unsecured)

The hotel arranged for a pick-up from Sekupang ferry terminal. That is the only terminal that is provided with a pick-up service. The check-in was quick.

The pre-booked transfer wasn’t at the ferry terminal when we arrived. They did instead upgrade us, all good! ✨
Breakfast was great!
The veggie/fish alternatives in the restaurant was not available for the three days we stayed tho. And not once was our food order fully correct, after being declined a couple of dishes that were “finished”. This is fine, but not at that high price point.
WiFi works, but is slow for video-calls.
The gym is in need of maintenance.
In short it’s good, but not perfect.

I went to Indonesia for scuba diving. Expedia told me it was possible around Batam.
But the beaches and water around Batam are polluted, so no diving!
The Holiday Inn resort is in an area that was supposed to be developed by now, but is still highly under construction.
Anyhow, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the food at the grill was great. So I enjoyed my time. Very relaxing

Hotel transport promised to pick up at Sekupang Ferry Terminal on arrival, but didnt.

Stayed in 2 bedroom suite. Missing hair dryer and face towels. Phone was spoiled. Housekeeping later brought 1 face towel, when I have a party of 4. Two hours later, housekeeping brought another 3 face towels.

Gym is large but old. Equipment is worn out with crickety metal parts. Some is plainly dangerous to use.

Resort owner seems to be holding back on a much needed renovation.

Staff were excellent to check in well, arrange transportation to city and ferry while resort is safe n relaxing but the bed mattresses were too old for good night sleep.The bedsheets were stained and itchy. Paid for third person but no bath towels provided though toiletries and ample water bottles were given. The room service was prompt and delicious but overpriced. Breakfast spread was wide but not up to scratch. Porridge was not replenished by 8.30 am while fried rice was undercooked. Disappointing IHG branded hotel !

Transport to hotel was very uncomfortable, almost 20pax squueze into a 12 pax van.TV in the room is spolit, took almost one day to repair. Bathroom water intermittent cold and hot, floor was dirty, bedsheet was dirty. Toilet basin tap was loose. Condition was very bad. Will not stay this hotel anymore.

Overrated and Overpriced Hotel

An IHG hotel- is an overrating for this hotel. I have submitted my full comments yesterday- don’t know why I’m getting this survey mail again. Only good thing about this hotel is its staff at all levels are very pleasant with good attitude. But the property needs a major makeover and refurbishment to retain its IHG standards. I booked this hotel just for its name but flopped miserably.

This is a family hotel and it’s 30mins away from the town. There is no beach near by. The hotel is old but it’s well kept and clean when we checked in. However House keeping is not consistent and cleaning was not done well. Floors are not mopped and some days they don’t provide any drinks. During peak days like on Christmas the buffer breakfasts was a horrid experience. So many people and food is always running out. Many details like plain water, jams and cleaning up the tables were not done. They are very under staff. Overall the staff is friendly.

Great, but won't return for festive seasons.

Had a great experience with the seamless ferry terminal pickup and check in. The hotel staff are all super friendly and helpful. The only downside was we booked over the CNY weekend and the hotel and all the surrounding hotels had fireworks going off from 9pm-12am. Three hours of sporadic fireworks for both of the nights we stayed was not pleasant and definitely not what you want on a holiday. Seeing that it is also a family friendly hotel, I would think they would be more sensitive to children and early bedtimes. If the hotels could all just team up and have ONE display together it would be great. Great for a short getaway but definitely won't book a stay again during the festive season.

Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Since it was peak period, the hotel set up an alternative service area for breakfast on Level 3 so as to manage the crowd. Housekeeping staff were honest and returned my wife's brooch when she dropped it.

We also enjoyed the fireworks display over the CNY holidays.

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back soon! :)

When I checked at the reception, I was told me that I do not have breakfast for my stay and suggested me to buy their promo coupons. I bought but realised after that that I do have free breakfast in my booking and I went back to query. Another of the staff found out that it was indeed a mistake made and did a refund for me immediately. Thereafter I went to my room and realised that I am unable to open the room, I went back to the reception again and walked back to the room with a technician. The door is still unable to be opened. No choice
, we walked back to the reception again with our luggages and waited at the lobby for them to reissue us another room. Although the staff did upgrade my room to a suite and the staff who made a mistake on the breakfast matter came forward to apologise to me, the overall check in experience to the resort was just not so pleasant. The room looks a bit out dated but the kids do enjoy their pool.

Had a great 3d2n stay with my partner. We arrived early and could immediately check in with little fuss.

Although the food choices in the resort were a little pricey, the resort provides free transport to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre/Grand Batam Mall. The timings for the transport are fixed however, but you can always get the helpful reception to call a cab to take you to wherever for a fee.

Room was big, comfortable and clean with a good view of the resort and the surrounding area (we were on the 9th floor). There's a spa in the back of the resort and bikes available for rental. All in all, the facilities of the resort were pretty well maintained.

It was an enjoyable and relaxing stay! (:

The hotel was full and the Terrace Café was used for a private function during the whole Good Friday weekend so we ended up sitting at the poolside which is non-aircon (I killed 2 mosquitoes which had my blood in them!). Should consider offering more flexible hours for the shuttle to Nagoya.

The pics shown on Hotels.com do not match with the room that I booked, which is a studio room. However, the pics show that it's a room with a living space. To be fair, the studio room is still spacious, with a balcony and pool view, but TV's remote control didn't work and there is some stain in the bathtub. A bit noisy in the morning when the staff cleaned the room next door and one of them even tried to come in and clean my room at around 10am before I checked out. No comment on other facilities as we checked in pretty late at night and didn't explore

Complimentary shuttle bus service available from the ferry terminal. However, it does not seems to run on a fixed schedule. We waited over an hour despite informing hotel of our ETA.

Hotel is very dated and poorly maintained. While room is spacious, attention to details are lacking eg room fridge freezer is totally frozen over, handle to TV cabinet is broken, bees carcasses lying around in room, clump of hair in bathtub.

We were here with a toddler and went to the kids club. Cleanliness is lacking and items poorly maintained. Staff inside is friendly but that's about it. No attempts to engage any children/ guests or do some basic tidying despite room being very messy (only 3 kids inside, including mine, at that time).

Kids pool area is separated into 3 different zones and it's @ hassle getting from one zone to another. There is a rotten plank on the wooden stair leading up to the water slide. Stone decoration in the middle of the water play fountain area which is a hazard should kids trip/slip and fall.

Had lunch buffet at Terrace Cafe, which only had 5 dishes and a small selection of fruits and dessert. Breakfast selection was thankfully much wider. Food at Dragon Inn restaurant is recommended.

Management seems to be in a 'Happy as it is' state which is disappointing for an IHG hotel. Overall, this hotel is good if you have older kids or as a couple and your intention is just to relax by the pool with no great expectations of food or cleanliness.

There were lots of things disappointing about the resort
1. Food is just to oily with no taste
2. Room service is very slow in attending to requests
3. Restaurant literally sleeps over the in room food orders
4. The pool feels small when the resort is booked at full capacity
5. Location is far away from the city and the nearby beach is not for tourism
Better to avoid. Not booking this resort again in future
