The best hotel so far i have stay. Iean the price is very affordable with 5 star experience and stay. You got welcome drink while you wait for the entrace documentation ready and payment. Then got welcome with very pretty room overlooking the sea. You got a nice deco once your room complete clean up. The breakfast varieties is top tier, they have western, local, and dessert, pastry. Even tho the choose not massive but it is quiet many. And it is nice too. Service, is within the phone call. And the only things not really nice. It only have bidet without water host. Overall a very pleasant stay with every morning breakfast with mascot dance 💕

The staff arebthe highlight. Great pool. Ok rooms. Beach access not a thing. Don't pay extra for it. Not a swimming beach. Shipping lane and industrial area. Good place if you just want to switch iff. Not good if you want shops and restaurants. Live entertainment in the evening was good.

the good: staff were friendly and helpful, concierge and housekeeping were prompt to meet and address our needs. there are free shuttle services to nagoya hill and grand batam at fixed timings each day, also free shuttles to and from ferry terminal on demand. pool facilities were decent, breakfast spread was okay and restaurant food choices were diverse (though with a cost premium)

the room for improvement: facilities could be better maintained and showed signs of wear and tear, cleanliness of sheets and towels with no stains, resort is quite secluded from anything other than waterfront terminal (which is quite dead)

My work stay!

Me & my Japanese counterpart were on a one day work trip to Batam Yard & we opted to stay at Harris !
We are extremely happy with the Ocean view room ,cleanliness & excellent breakfast spread!!!
The reception gave us wonderful suggestions to try local seafood restaurant by the sea & also arranged taxi service with driver Willy who also was very kind & helpful .Am looking forward to come back for another holiday with my family .

Personally, I had an issue with my check in as the staff at the counter mishandled the situation but Monica and Dila stepped in immediately to rectify the situation. The ensured that the guest were not disappointed at all cost. Without them, the hotel will have a bad impression from customers.

Culinary Adventure of Disappointment & Spacious Rm

Our experience at the Harris Waterfront Hotel was a rollercoaster ride of disappointment and frustration. The culinary disasters began with a poorly made Margarita Pizza and continued with a disastrous breakfast scene the next day. The staff seemed clueless and unhelpful, leaving us to fend for ourselves. The rooms were spacious but took forever to be cleaned. In contrast, the Marriott Harbour Hotel proved to be a haven of delicious food and attentive service. If you value your taste buds, avoid dining at Harris Waterfront Hotel and head to the Grand Batam Mall instead.

Wedding Anniversary Trip

Resort style stay, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Natural and serene surrounding within a stone throw away from the inland coastal beach. Ample amenities and pools. Food varieties are ample and taste good.
Staff members are youthful, friendly and helpful. Due to the 2 years of Covid 19 hiatus and only recent reopening of borders, expectation on the upkeep of facilities and amenities should be moderate.

First time staying at Harris Waterfront and was pleasantly surprise that there is free shuttle pick up from the ferry terminal to the hotel and vice versa. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was glad that the additional bed was a full-size single bed setup.

A bad Experience

Both my boyfriend and I were sick after coming back as on the last day, 25 April, we both were unable to take more rest as the room above us seems like they were doing some renovation. Knocking sounds were produced consecutively, causing us not to be able to sleep. As a result, we both were exhausted and due to sleep leads to low immune system, which causes us both to be sick.

Regret taking the Cabana Room

Cabana room is a no no to anyone who's thinking of getting it. The toilet is open and the bathtub was dirty. The shower curtain smell musty and the room was dusty.

We requested for a room change on the first day but was declined.

On the second day before breakfast with the help of a staff Sri, we managed to change into the hotel room. Thank you Sri for your wondeful help!

The staffs there overall they are accommodating and friendly. It's just the situation and room we we're first in that made us annoyed and frustrated.

Will come back again but will not stay at cabana room

Clean resort by the ferry terminal

Only about 5 mins drive from the ferry terminal, this clean and friendly resort is the place in Batam. Transport can be arranged to and fro the ferry terminal. Everyone in the resort was really kind and hospitable to us which made the trip perfect. Some free activities such as table tennis, beach vball, swimming, pool table for you to enjoy and others such as flying fox, archery, go kart and ATV can be done at a very good price. Room was clean though a bit old but has everything you need. Can't go for breakfast buffet beyond 930am or nothing much will be left but look out for Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch buffet which tastes good. Not much food options so a 3D2N will be just nice. Lots of fun for kids too.

BIG thanks to professional and hospitable Clara at the restaurant.
Overall, staffs are friendly but some at the reception are a bit lost and some at the restaurant are unfriendly and seemed busy doing nothing.
They charge for everything and activities on the beachside are pricey.
Short Mini golf was a nice touch for kids but need a serious make over.
Shuttle pick up was nice and only 5 min ride from hotel to Ferry Terminal

90 min to check in to start. The room was not ready so we had lunch and after an hour the room is not ready. we got into the room and was charged for an upgrade and I can't see how this was an upgrade. the room was small and had ants on the ceiling. overall the quality of stuff was low like the food and hotel as a whole. I was unimpressed and will not return.

Overall it was a good stay but when its after 7pm theres not much things to do unless u grab a xab and go to town which is approx 30mins drive. Would recommend only to those with children for short getaway.

Harris waterfront its abit far off the city centre, there is nothing nearby.
Unless you just want it to be an extremely relaxed trip, then this will be a good place to stay.
There is ants in the room, so if you were to buy sweet stuff, make sure keep it inside the fridge.
Staff is very friendly and polite.
Taxi uncle is good and nice uncle, bringing us around and charging us cheap as well. His name is Herman! Highly recommend him :)

The hotel is supposed to have good facilities and etc but lacks maintenance everywhere. We felt we were cheated since by looking the pictures upon reservation it all looks very nice but that is not what we found out.
It was in the same price category of another hotel ( Turis) but it is much worse. We regret we chose Harris.

A place to relax...

Upon arrival the welcoming drinks are really good. We checked in early-thank you. Staff was really friendly and courteous enough to greet us anywhere we go.The cab is easy to take as there is a stall beside the entrance.Food wise it was amazing.Thank you for letting us had the last order for the pizza.Pool was great but need to maintain.Our room was at the old wing indeed it was spacious and the pool view was so relaxing.You dont need to go far to have a good spa/massage as the hotel got it.Will surely be back here if we will have a short weekend vacation. Thank you for a good stay here.Keep it up!

My 3 days 2 nights stay

Overall experience was pleasant. Some of the activities are pricey though. The management should review the cost of each activity. Jet ski was 500k rupiah for 1/2 hr. The dinner buffet was pricey as well. All of it were local dishes and costs 250k rupiah per pax. I would rather have meals from the menu instead. Taxi is also expensive from the hotel. A trip to nagoya hill mall costs 150k rupiah. But if you intend to stay within the resort and not go anywhere, it's a good place to relax and unwind. But the massages and dining within the resort is expensive compared to the malls nearby.

Nice hotel - oppositie wakeboard cable park. It is in Batam so do not expect a SINGAPORE quality resort (prices are also quite different). Breakfast was vey good.

tip for Expedia: I booked a 54 square meter room. The room I got was about half that size. I expect that this is something that Expedia should check with the hotel as they simply do it have 54 square meter rooms (hey do have family cabins).

When check-in, it's kinda crowded and it is fully booked. Thus have to wait the room to clear. Staff are friendly. Booking/rental cab is free of hassle. Massaging will need to book in advance.. No chance for us since it is short trip. Foot reflexology is great. No more bowling. And the beach is nothing, though u able to see wild monkeys

Stepped back in time to 20 years ago - the furniture was old fashioned. The sofa was dusty. Aircon was right at the bed - blowing into our face - difficult to sleep. The room and bathroom were huge. The staff were excellent - friendly and nice. Food at cafe was delicious and good for the price.

Stayed a few times in Harris resort. Tried the buffet breakfast for the first time. Alot of varieties, taste OK, not to be picky. It is better if there are more available facilities in the recreation building. Alot of games are no longer available. like Snooker, bowling... etc...
It will be even better if Harris resort can provide free bus transport to Nagoya hill shopping centre and nearby restaurant like Delima seafood, because, spending 80,000rp to go to the \"very near\" restaurant and back, is not very worth it, and it is SO NEAR. Pls consider. Thanks

Relaxing weekend for wakeboarding

This is my fourth time staying at Harris Waterfront as it is directly opposite the Cable park. I go there often and decide to stay stay overnight sometimes. So far, Harris has been my only choice because of convenience to the cable park. They have two buildings and this would be my first time staying in the old building. The rooms are much larger in the old building. We have a bathtub in our bathroom and sofa beside our balcony. The staff here are friendly and helpful. They also organise the occasional water polo getting random people to know each other. Overall a very good stay.

The Worst Ever Hotel I have Ever Stay

service was not too bad, but the F&B quality was one of the worst that i have ever taken, and the price was too expensive.

even their activities program was not updated. the front staff, they dont even know what they have in the hotel.

when approach other staff for information, they just direct blindly and gave wrong information.

call the operator to enquire on the Tauzia and they cannot even provide the basic information.

i have stayed in many hotels, and for such price and quality, this not even worth a single cents.

If you have a choice,please dont even consider this hotel.

\"So-so getaway\"

The 2D/1N getaway would have been perfect if not for the room phone not working properly - it was still not working after the hotel reception claimed that it was fixed. Also, there appears to be lack of maintenance in the hotel and its surroundings. The food served in the restaurant is great and we enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere that the hotel location offers.

Nice resort for getaway

This resort only provides free shuttle to and from waterfront city ferry terminal, the nearest ferry terminal to the resort. The resort is generally clean and nice. It also provides daily free shuttle to Nagoya hill mall. The best part of this resort is its beautiful swimming pool and super enjoying massage. It also offers some sea activities such as banana boat and others.

Level set your expectations: 3 star and not 4 star

You will be disappointed if you are booking thinking this is a 4 star resort. Do not know why this rated 4 when clearly it is a 3. You will disappointed thinking you have 4 star experience but will be happy if your expectations are 3 star. Location is remote in quiet setting, biggest plus is the pool. The beach is not useable and is not clean. There are no more activities such as parasailing, go carting etc, it is al gone. There is only one shuttle per day to town.

There's a lot of ants in my room. Aircon not functional too well. Gets hot in the middle of the night. Toilet and balcony floor needs a good scrubbing. It's not dirty but will look better after scrubbing.
But, ALL staffs are friendly and cheerful. Always smiling and ready to serve. They deserve recognition. Swimming pool is great and activities are fun.

Great place. Staffs are friendly and offers assistance when needed. I recalled there was once a heavy rain, a staff saw us without any umbrella, and quickly offer us one.

Not much activities, surrounding nothing and shopping mall was 30 mins bus ride away. Staffs very friendly & helpful, breakfast ok only. For relaxation, will consider to go again..

Warm & friendly staff- clean hotel

Stayed in the new wing and happy with the service and the room with sea view.
Was picked up promptly at the ferry terminal & greeted with happy smiles & friendly staff with cookies, warm towel & welcome drink.

However, disappointed that hotels.com did not place my booking properly with the hotel stating BF included so much time was wasted to settle the issue. A big thank you to Ms Nana @ the reception. She is fantastic as she showed genuine concern and given me excellent service to ensure nothing else will spoil my 3-day holiday stay. Always checking up on us and assisted on everything. I must say it is a HAPPY hotel with very warm & friendly staff & even entertained with dancing at breakfast time. Breakfast was very much below expectation. Nothing much to do @ resort. Got to take cab to the nearest Nagoya hill for food & shopping. Hotel transfer timing limited seats & restrictive. Overall happy & will stay there again.
