What a little gem to stay at. Well appointed, games, books and DVDS. Clean, quiet and easy off street parking. Comfy bed and even Tim Tams. Im more a white Tim Tam person, but now I'm being picky.

We really enjoyed our stay both at the property and in Richmond. The Richmond Barracks are just a short walk from the mail street so far away enough to be quiet but near enough to be in the middle of things. The description of the property is accurate and Simone was on hand throughout our stay to help with anything we needed and just to be friendly. It is only a short walk to the Richmond Arms which was good for meals. If we return to Richmond we would definitely stay here again

Clean, comfortable, handy. Proprietor needs to learn how to speak to people if accidents happen, which did during our stay. We did notify the proprietor, and had no qualms about paying toward the damage, but we still felt like we were spoken to like people trying to weasel out of our responsibility. Would have been return customers, but probably not now.

Loved the history. Stayed 3 nights which gave us plenty of touring time around central Tas, return mid - late afternoon and time to walk around Richmond. Great pub for dinner. All the shops were interesting and the buildings are architecturally and historically interesting. The bridge is a magnificent example of convict construction. Walk underneath it. It's very interesting.

We stayed in the ”Lady Esther” cottage which was very comfortable and immacutely clean . The beds were very comfortable ,the linens top class and a very good shower . Our cousins from Sweden joined us and we found the cottage perfect for four and not at all crowded. Simone is an exceptional hostess .

It is a big plus that the owner lives on site. It is becoming more common these days to find there is no-one on site to discuss anything that might come up. Friendly, helpful owner. Comfortable bed, good heating, I had off-road parking outside the door to my unit. Lots of shelf space inside the bathroom for toiletries. Good amenities. Good wi-fi.

Great place to stay. I stayed in transit one night after a short driving trip and before a morning flight out. It was a great alternative to staying in Hobart, being only about 20 minutes from the airport. It is a small B&B, with 3 nicely renovated cottages to stay in. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was items such as cereals, toast, fruit and yogurt in the unit which had a small kitchen.

The Richmond Barracks was the ideal accommodation or anyone looking to stay in this historic little village. Apart from the Bridge, there's lots to see and do in Richmond. We visited as a family (2 young ones) and apart from a very cold a unscheduled dip in the water (our son) Richmond proved to be the great starting point for our Tasmanian Adventure and the Richmond Barracks was spacious, warm and clean, what more can you ask for?

This is lovely comfortable accommodation set in pretty gardens and with lots of privacy. The breakfasts are varied and good and the kitchenette includes everything you need to prepare food for yourself if you wish to. Your hosts are friendly and helpful and the rooms are immaculately clean. I would recommend it to any friends wishing to spend a couple of days in the area.
