Hotel Condor is in a great location—within walking distance of Taormina’s main attractions and close to the cable car, which made getting around easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; we appreciated being able to check in early. The views from the hotel were beautiful and definitely a highlight. The only downside was the breakfast, which had limited options and could use some improvement. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent service and location.

All the staff were most cordial considering I arriving so stressed. The room was beyond expectations. The view amazing!!! We were welcomed with a beverage of choice upon arrival. They parked our car. It states an elevator (there is one and it’s quick) however, you must go down several steps to registration to get to it. That was the ONLY drawback. We will stay again if in the area.

Our stay at the Hotel Condor was remarkable! The highlight was definitely the amazing breakfast prepared each morning. It was a buffet of local flavors, sweets, meats and cheeses, and on and on. And all of it was absolutely delicious! I booked for two double beds in the room and for the breakfast to be included and PREPAID for all of it before I ever started my travel. When I arrived, I had a king size bed that could not be split into two beds. I was also told that I had not booked for the breakfast meal. I showed them what my booking said on my reservation pages but they did not have a room with two doubles in it to switch us to. Then after we ate breakfast and checked out the next morning, I received an additional charge on my credit card for the breakfast. I was very angry but there wasn't much I could do about it since I didn't see the charge until after I got home from my trip

Hotel Condor was everything I hoped for. Beautiful view, wonderful breakfast, very helpful staff. It was in a quiet area away from the busy streets and the tourist shops, but it had a little grocery store a few minute walk from the hotel and a great restaurant, La Romana just a short walk, priced very reasonable and specializes in great flat bread pizza. Very easy to walk to the ancient theater. You will need to take a taxi from the train station to get to the hotel. It was 25 eurors. There is a trail to hike up to Castelmola just down from hotel, and it is worth the hike. Ancient castle ruins, spectacular views.....

Had a great stay at Hotel Condor. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Particularly loved the woman who runs breakfast service, but truly everyone was fantastic. Also, wow the breakfast is amazing - first place we have been to with eggs and other savory items! (Apparently it’s not at all Italian to have that, but for me, it was much appreciated after so many croissants!) they of course also had all of the sweets - my favorite is the orange cake. We also slept great - the mattress was firm and the pillows were much better than in our other accommodations. Only issue for us was not having hot water for the shower- my mom didn’t have this issue in her room, but we had it both days. That said, the hotel more than made up for it in every other way. We also paid for the upgraded room with a view, which was beautiful and worth it, though you can also always access the view from the roof of the hotel at any time, which I also really appreciate. They have staff available 24/7, which was particularly lovely after many stays with limited staff availability.

Hotel Condor was an excellent choice for our stay in Taormina. It is located an easy walk to the main tourist street. The room was very clean and beautifully appointed with a lovely view towards the med far below. The town is very fun and very touristy. Great shopping and some very interesting sights, especially the Greek amphitheater, an incredible feat of engineering. The hotel's breakfast buffet was very good and the seating on the patio overlooking the town and coast is very pleasant way to start the day. All in all a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The parking fee is worth it since there is nowhere to park in the city unless you are a resident. Once we arrived, we did not use our rental car again until it was time to leave. If you are going to Taormina, I highly recommend this charming, very personal hotel. Seeing Mt. Etna was a treat.

A valuable lesson learnt - after planning a trip to Toarmina our first hotel was bad so decided to change and found condor. Staff were friendly and yes it did have a sea view but....room was outdated, the bathroom was not clean and the view - well if you look over the construction site and unfinished buildings you’ll see the sea. What was most disappointing was the price....I booked online and as soon as I entered the room felt like I had been ripped off. We stayed one night and the next day left, it almost ruined our stay as I had given up on hotels over charging. My mother was sick and thought we should just cancel the holiday and come home. The night was noisy, could here the couple talking and in their phones until late and out room was under the restaurant so was woken up by chairs being dragged across the floor. By chance we found a hotel in Toarmina - central location near hotel metropole on the main parade.... same price 100% better in every way. The contrast from Condor to the one we found was incredible....stylish, interior designed, boutique. My problem isn’t wit condor per say, it’s with hotels in Toarmina massively over charging for a sea view....take my advice....with some searching and not requesting a sea view.....you will find much much much better rooms in much better locations.

For us, this was the best location in the city. Only a couple of blocks off the main area, we walked everywhere, even to the Funicular which took us down to the beach. The buffet breakfast was superb, fresh and filling. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room had a/c but we just opened the window and let the sea breeze in. They also valet parked our car, which was helpful on the narrow streets. They arranged for a shuttle to the beach, with cots and food service.

The hotel is a couple of minutes walk, a bit uphill, from the very centre of Taormina, Porte Messina. This gave us a great view from our sea view balcony. There is a shutter which comes down at the touch of a button, which is great because otherwise, the fabulous sunshine in the mornings would have woken us at 4 am! The room was very clean, all facilities worked well and the aircon was a boon. There was a safe in the wardrobe. Fridge, stocked with some beer, soft drinks, water. Also, quite a few power points for our phones, etc. Good, basic, friendly breakfast. Helpful and knowledgeable staff in reception, which is open all hours. We would come back to Taormina again - we don't normally go back to places - and we would stay at the Condor. A very, very good week and the Condor played its part very well.

See my review. This is an excellent, family run hotel with friendly efficient staff in reception and bar/restaurant. The breakfast is very good enjoyed in a beautiful setting with a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea and mountainous backdrop. The terrazzo panoramica on the top floor offers a breath taking view in a most relaxed setting. This is my second stay and second review. A room with a view at the rear of this hotel is highly recommended if you can get. Access to public bus and tourist bus services is a 15/20 minute walk to a local bus station and a local bus/taxis serves the Taormina Train station. I am glad to recommend Hotel Condor for its location, good service and good value.
