Staff is very rude and less communicative
The first day I was given 2 keys they came the next to fix the WiFi in our absence and took the second keys with them. I called many time to ask for the keys no answer and left a text message still no respond even when I was leaving i left a good bye message they never responded until now

The Hotel excelled in customer service. They reached out to us before we even got there and asked if we needed to be picket up from the airport. We had a lovely stay, the staff was extremely nice, our room was cleaned everyday and we were provided new towels also everyday. Thank you for this amazing stay. We highly recommend this Hotel!

The property was absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The staff went above and beyond for us, made amazing recommendations for our visit and truly made our stay on the island better than we anticipated! They assisted with setting up tours around the island as well as vehicle rentals. Can’t recommend them enough!

Stavros villas was wonderful hotel
I went to Santorini,Greece for vacation and it was my first trip there and it was amazing. The Stavros villas is an excellent place to stay for your vacation. The hotel was spectacular and quite nice. It had very beautiful views that captured the eyes on the spacious balcony. The workers were very lovely and helpful to us. Everyone was amazing. The house keepers cleaned the rooms every day so the rooms were clean, each and every staff were sweet and they try to make your stay as enjoyable as they can. Whenever we needed something or needed help they would always be there or answer our calls. They even provided us with a map of the best places to visit and have fun as foreigner to the country. They were respectful,polite and friendly.

The hotel is nice with a beautiful pool but beware it is far away from everything and taxi’s are not cheap or easily available. It’s perfect if you have that early flight and don’t want to be far from the airport as it’s only 6 minute drive down the road.

Very centrally located to get around Santorini, but you will need a small car to get around. GPS cannot really do too much when the roads are all intermingled and some have no names. But an amazing place to visit.

Very Quiet and Cute hotel

From the initial booking to my final check out my stay at Stavros Villas was a great experience . Management contacted me through email a few days prior to my arrival and helped arranged a transfer to a hotel for a small fee . The room was in great condition and offered a lovely sunrise view and was in a central location of the island. Also the pool looked like it was in great condition. Management also helped arrange an atv rental and helped book a boat tour of the caldera . The hotel is within walking distance of Thera and only a short drive to Oia by atv , the bus stop is also a short walk for those wanting to use transit . I would definitely stay at Stavros villas if I’m returning to Santorini

Basic and clean enough for a short stay.

Extremely basic, not in great condition, but clean enough to spend a few hours in and very affordable. Unfortunately when we arrived our patio door was falling off and we weren't provided with the wifi password before the office was closed for the night. Also no credit card facilities so we had to find cash to pay for our stay. The photos on the website are definitely an artistic representation of what you get, but that is the same for most hotels :)

Just Outside of Fira: Quiet, Clean, Friendly

Stavros Villas is in Karterados, It is about a 30 minute walk to Fira and a 15 minute walk to the bus stop, making it convenient and fairly central if you don't mind walking. There are two minimarts and a few restaurants within a 10 minute walk and a big supermarket about 20 minutes walk away. The area is quiet and clean, with lots of other guest houses and small hotels.
Steve, his wife and his daughter Eva, are very nice and helpful. You can whatsapp with Eva to fine tune your arrangements. For 15 euros, Steve will pick you up from the airport. Another 15 euros and he'll take you back. He can also help arrange for ATV/Car rentals and local trips. His wife keeps the place spotless! Very clean! The hotel was quiet in the morning and in the evening. The water pressure in the shower was strong and the water was nice and hot. Sheets and towels were fresh and clean. There is a small TV and fridge (I asked to borrow a kettle and cups).
A simple breakfast is available for 5 or 6 euros (I forget). You can see the sunrise, to the right, looking out. Sunset is over the pool, so you can't see it. The building is two stories. There are small tables and two chairs outside of each room. The rooms on the second floor have more privacy.
As my flight didn't leave until later, they held my luggage until I left so I could enjoy the day.
I would stay at Stavros Villas again. It was good value for my money. I liked Steve and his family very much.

I loved our stay at Stavros Villas.

The owner takes personal interest in your welfare and comfort. The facility is not expansive but fully functional. Wifi is available, but not always super fast. Overall this hotel made us completely happy. The staff fulfilled every wish we had. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it. (October 2018)

Wonderful stay!

The staff were absolutely so helpful! The Greek hospitality was evident, and you will be in great hands throughout your stay. From picking me up at the airport to checking out, my interactions with the staff were lovely. My room was quite spacious and as I was placed on the second floor, I had a beautiful overlook of the seaside. As the location of the hotel is quieter, your rest will be quite peaceful. It is a manageable walk to the city center of Karterados and just a bit further for Fira. Overall, a wonderful stay in Santorini thanks to Stavros Villas!

Family hospitality with the privacy of a hotel

We arrived by ferry and Stavros himself picked us up at the port in what looked like a brand new, comfortable air-conditioned 10+ passenger van (reasonable additional charge). He took the time to tell us about Santorini and suggest things to see/do. He made sure we liked our room.
He or a family member were usually at the front desk. Otherwise, he was nearby and just a phone call away. We stayed too busy to use the pool but he kept it beautifully chrystal clear. I don't usually spend time in the pool anywhere I go because I want to enjoy whatever sightseeing there is but his pool was very tempting.
The internet worked but don't expect to upload lots of pics. It was functional for researching things for our time after Santorini.
The location is convenient but I suggest renting a car or ATV which we did. It allows for more time/flexibility to explore without walking and waiting at bus stops. The local buses though, are beautiful new luxury motor coaches. We rode one once after hiking Fira to Oia to get back to our ATV in Fira.
Stavros dropped us at the airport for our flight out (again, additional but reasonable fee) and hugged us both goodbye.
If I ever return to Santorini, I will stay at Stavros Villas again. His warm Greek hospitality made us feel like guests in his home but with the privacy of a hotel.

This was my second time at Stavros villas. The family run business is ideal for families as well as solo travellers. The view from the rooms overlooking the sea is amazing. The hotel is clean and comfortable and all the staff do their best to accommodate your needs. The wifi was great this time round, very stable and strong. Highly recommended.

Clean and comfortable hotel not far from Fira

The hotel room was very clean, which was very important. My family of four had plenty of space in the hotel room. The pool was very nice and roomy. The owners were very sweet and kind; and they took great care in making all the guests feel comfortable. The hotel was a shortly ride from Fira where there is lots to see and do. There were guests from all over the world staying at Stravos Villas. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location for walking.

My husband, daughter and granddaughter just spent 2 weeks here and it was a great experience. Stavros and Maria were wonderful and when I asked for some way to cook our meals in our small kitchen, Maria arrived with a 2 burner hot plate within minutes. We were picked up at the airport on our arrival and driven back for our departure. Our rooms were cleaned every day and Maria even brought us a plate of Greek cookies on New Years Day as well as sending us off with a cake at the end of our stay. I will be recommending Stavros Villa to all my Canadian friends.

Good place to stay

Unless you are paying silly money, then hotels in Santorini are all similar:tiled rooms, simply furnished (not the climate for plushness), with a terrace. The difference comes in how well these things are implemented and looked after. Stavros Villas do this very well: spotless rooms and hotel, good shower, and small but well looked after swimming pool. The owner and staff are all incredibly helpful. Unusual location in the centre of the island looking over the countryside (complete with donkey when I was there) down to the Aegean. Nice beach with taverna 30 minute walk in one direction, bus stop to everywhere in the southern half of the island ten minutes in the other direction. Next to the bus stop is fantastic bakery and very good and reasonable supermarket. Another ten or fifteen minute walk up to Thira.

Good value but get a car and some bottled water

Take advantage of the free pick-up from airport/port but keep in mind that it is 15 EUR to go the other way.

Not great location without a car. 30 min walk to Fira, 30 min walk to beach. 15 min to closest restaurant. We made it work well enough but wouldn't stay here again without a car.

The family is indeed very friendly.

One thing that I found a bit of a turn-off was the water quality. It actually tasted a bit salty and our bath products seemed to have dried salt on them after leaving in the shower. I hope this is just in my head but regardless bottled water a must for drinking.

The staff was very friendly. Stavros will meet you at the airport or the port and pick you up. Once you're there, Stavros and his daughter will help you choose the best things to do and see. They'll book your tickets for you, get a rental car or ATV brought to the hotel for you, recommend restaurants, anything. At the end, Stavros will happily drive you back to the airport or port whenever you need.

The perfect stay

The cutest family run hotel ever. The second we walked In They greeted us with smiles and shook our hands to welcome us. Emma the daughter helped us understand where everything was, renting 4 wheelers at a reasonable price, figuring out what we wanted to do on the island, getting us to the airport ( her dad took us for 15 euros) and much more. The whole time it was with such a sincere kindness that we fell in love with them immediately. The place had free wifi, was very clean, in a great location, and beautiful. I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

The Stravos family were excellent hosts. They helped arranging our excursions on the island, the facilitated the rental of a car (the car company delivered and picked up the car). They were there to pick us up at the ferry and return us to it. The rooms were clean, spacious and towels were changed on a daily basis. This place is excellent for people travelling on a budget. Thanks to the Stravos family for making our stay so enjoyable

El lugar es muy básico, acorde con el precio y alejado de todo! Llegamos muy tarde, habíamos avisado. Ya estaba todo cerrado y en la habitación no había siquiera un poco de agua potable. Los traslados desde y hacia el aeropuerto, hechos por la gente del lugar nos parecieron muy caros! El personal muy muy amable y el lugar muy limpio!

Très beau hôtel, chambre spacieuse et propre. Piscine très agréable. Le personnel est très gentil et aux petits soins. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine jusqu'au dernier moment.
Seul bémol, c'est un peu loin de l'arrêt de bus et la route n'est pas prévue pour les piétons, mais comme beaucoup d'endroits sur l'île.

The place is decent, a bit away from Santorini’s main villages so its more quiet but qt the same time far from the interesting places. You will need a car to go around. The room was decent but nothing breathtaking.
