In general I had good stay; reception & restaurant staff were very nice & helpful. But, last two nights, I did not have a good sleep as lots of physical activities on top of my room by the hotel staff. It was very bad last night of my stay, many times I woke up due to loud noises and pulling/pushing sounds. I was very tired with no good sleep last night when I went tot the airport for a long air travel. This kind of disturbances by your staff are very unacceptable.

Our room was in what looked like a new expansion of the hotel. On the first floor everything was modern and clean.Bed was comfortable and bathroom, although small had very good lighting and decent towels. The things I didn't like about it were, the hair dryer was obviously an old one and didn't work well. Soaps provided were generic and supposed to be used for hand,hair and body. Which I didn't care for.The room was very warm even though the outside temps were in the 40's o F. The a/c did not working correctly. It made a loud banging noise so we wound up just turning it off an keeping the window open and the noise outside kept me awake. We only ate breakfast there one day It was a typical buffet with scrambled eggs and some cold cuts fruits and pastres. Prices are exorbitant in Switzerland so we were not surprised by the 19.00 Franc cost per person but still didn't feel it was all that good for the price. There was at the time of our stay, construction going on outside hotel although we were not disturbed by any noise. We did have some difficult checking in.because the main entrance was not obvious from where we were dropped off and found it A bit awkward but we managed with some help by a gentleman working at the hotel. Overall it was not an unpleasant stay and we found the location very convenient for our purposes being between Bern, and a family members home . The light rail station was just outside the hotel, which made it very easy to get around.

The property is very beautiful. We didn't realize you had rooms with airconditioning but in Switzerland people don't typically ask. The fan in the room did OK. Your front desk help us with the bus tickets for the time we were in Bern, such a wonderful convienence. We enjoyed your breakfest each morning. I think you need a non-smoking are outside for dinner as my wife doesn't do well with smoke. Loved the hotel and your staff.

The pictures on the website are not reflective of reality. The rooms are dated and not very clean. The rooms are also disappointingly small. The furnishings are not comfortable (1 terrible fake leather arm chair not made for sitting in, and a broken down desk and chair, as well as a very ugly cupboard looking like no-one wanted it from the side of the road). There was a terrible smell in our bathroom, and the the bathroom is tiny.
Furthermore, despite the misleading impression on the photos, this hotel is not surrounded by greenery nor quiet. It is surrounded by 2 busy roads and the rooms look directly over the road and tracks.
If all of this cost a budget price.... why not.
The problem is, at this price, this hotel is sheer and utter robbery. Far too expensive for the lack of comfort and quality. There is no possible way this hotel can claim 4 stars. It would be a medium 3 star at best.

I reported that my room was smelly (as if a cat entered the room; possibly from the balcony?!) and that for that reason I did not sleep. What I got in return was a simple ‘sorry’!that’s a very bad front desk service. If I were them I would have suggested a discount (e.g. no parking or no breakfast fees?!)

Great hotel and friendly people. The weather is unbelievably hot and the room is not air-conditioned but there was a fan in the room and overnight it cooled a bit. Great location for visiting the old town on the #6 tram right next to the hotel.

Everything about the hotel was excellent except the noise level: The room was hot, so the windows had to be opened to let in cool air. The Tram line is right outside, running down a major road. So every 10 minutes or so a tram would go by. Also a lot of loud cars and motorcycles.

Outstanding hotel!
Staff was so polite and friendly, the room so extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. Train station is right in front of the hotel and it takes you to the city center in only 5 min. Th Hotel also has a free parking lot if you need it. Overall, I've had an amazing experience. I will definitely stay there again if I ever return to Bern.

The late check-in was quick all was ready to sign, no long waiting. The welcome by the staff warm and friendly!
The room was with personal welcome gifts and cards decorated and the cleanness was amazing!
We found free water, a basket of fruits and Swiss chocolate waiting for us!
The breakfast offers a variety of choices of beverage and food! Only disappointing issue was, for fright eggs you have to pay extra!
The products however are all of first class quality!

This hotel was lovely. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely and a nice short train ride into Bern. The train stop was just next to the hotel. The hotel was quiet, bed was comfortable, & bathroom was very nice. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Bern. The neighborhood was great for running but the hotel was also equipped with a nice gym. Great stay! The restaurant had wonderful salads and bread and perhaps the best soup I've ever had - was something like butternut squash.

Great hotel with large rooms with balcony. Decoration is traditional and the rooms are very clean. They give you water and a chocolate at arrival. The room has a minibar. Hotel is close to a tram stop which will take you into the center in about 10-15 minutes.
Beds could be a bit more comfortable. The room has standard swiss power plugs which do not work well when using adapters. There is a three socket next to the bed but I could only use 1 because my adapter covers the other 2 sockets.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. Finding the reception desk when you first arrive is a challenge. You must climb a flight of stairs, pass the restaurant, and search for the desk. It is hidden. Once we found this, it was a nice hotel. The reception desk staff were nice, but not overly helpful. The waitstaff in the restaurant were wonderful and more helpful. The hotel lists free parking onsite. There are only approximately 5 free spots on the side of the hotel. Otherwise, the underground garage requires daily fees. There is no help with luggage. There is no air conditioning, although it is cool enough to leave the windows open during the summer. However, it is located very near a loud clock or church bell that chimed every quarter hour 24/7. Leaving your windows open at night means not much sleep!

Our room was in the extension (new) area. It was clean and comfortable. We were only given a very small fan, though, (no ac) and it was HOT.
This hotel is less than a block to the train and bus station, which takes you to Old Town in about 15 minutes. There is an onsite restaurant which was good for dinner, and breakfast is free and very good. They also validate your parking.

The hotel was nice but I was expecting to be saying in a place like their pictures, thumbs out that just the front building. My room was on an addition to the back which was very 90's and not classic Swiss. For that price I was expecting an super nice room, it was nice and clean but nothing amazing. The bed wasn't very soft. And I was woken up at 7:30 by someone mowing outside. The food in the restaurant was really good, but again very pricy. It was so far out of town the taxi ride cost 34 CHF.
