Dirty and strange- is this really a Best Western??

What in the heck is this place? It cannot be an actual Best Western. We checked in on the weekend and the check-in desk was closed so we had to go to an adjacent hotel (about a 5 min walk away) to their BAR to check in. Once we picked up the key (which was a regular key mind you, not a key card) we went back to go up to our room. Our room was at the back of the hotel. The flooring and carpet in the main area looked recently replaced, but the walls looked like trash (really need a paint job). It was dark and scary. No lights were on and quite frankly it seemed abandoned. No person was at the front desk or even in the hotel it seemed. We finally found our room at the back near a stairwell. Inside, the room has a rather ICKY carpet which I cannot tell if it was dirty or just foot patterns. The bed had hairs, either human pubic or dog hair, it was very questionable. All of the beds had hair (the double and the single one). Could we call for help? Prob not, the only person monitoring anything was the bar tender from the walk down the street. The beds also left much to be desired. We cleaned the room ourselves and found dirt everywhere. Loads of it. On doors, on common surfaces. Gross. We left the room cleaner than we found it and checked out promptly the next morning. It also had ceiling bugs. I would not stay here again. Parking was also a joke as the \"lot\" was totally filled by 7pm. We parked on the street then moved the iced- up car in the morning.

Overall nice but...

The area is Paradise..The BW hotel room was very small and we had to spend most of our time in the balcony which was a blessing. The shower had a problem and on wkend no maintenance so I had to do it myself
For this price we deserved more value .

Probably the best hotel in Bad Durrheim, however it is a 3 star at best.
I got a VERY GOOD price from expedia for a junior suite, and the price more then made up for any shortcomings. Pros were the location, and the breakfast. Cons: Very small ,slow elevator which did not go to top floor...so you had to carry your luggage up. No AC. The hotel has been recently upgraded, however the workmanship, and maintenance was poor. Cracked tiles in bath, electrical tape on light cords, wires hanging out of wall, burned out lights, flaking paint, and appliances that did not work (perhaps that's why I got the great price). Thin walls with a lot of noise from other rooms. Breakfast was very good, but the early bird gets the worm here...if you came in late the buffet was picked over. All in all I would return

nice location on the edge of the Black Forest

The hotel is located in Bad Durrheim a spa town on the edge of the Black Forest. The tall pine trees make this location feel that it is in the middle of the forest. One tends to become very mellow listening to wind in the trees.

Favorite place for my SPA- vacations!

I love the Soleo Hotel for the convenience to the Solemar- about 4 min. and especially the breakfast buffet which is included in a very reasonable price. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

Great hotel

Stayed two nights in deluxe room: Nice balcony, coffee machine, mini bar with beer and soft drinks. Breakfast excellent. Very close walking distance to local restaurants. Nice bar and free pool table. Friendly english-speaking staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Health Resort not for wheel chairs

Well, there is an elevator but to reach it you need to use the stairs or a narrow ramp.
If you stay on the 5th floor then you have to leave the elevator on the 4th floor and climb the stairs to the 5th floor.
The elevator does not look large enough for a wheel chair.
There is no underground parking. Limited outdoor parking is available but about 75 yards to the entrance of the hotel.
Bathroom is very classic and the shower needs a high deep step to get inside.

Nice Place for a stopover

we used this hotel as a stopover on the way to the black forest. the hotel was clean and tidy, with a nice bathroom. Excellent value for money, our room had a bath which we didn't expect. Breakfast was delicious and well presented.

Not much to do in the town for tourists, but there is a whole bunch of nice little local cafes and restaurants in walking distance. We had a lovely dinner at a place recomended by the staff.

The hotel it self is fine - but there is nothing to do. and there is no pool, the pictures is of a pool in the town, not in the hotel and you need to pay extra for. If you are not a retiree do not stay here. or even go here.

Locals flock to this town for sightseeing and relaxation in local pas. Great cafes, restaurants bars, etc. Nothing as good unless you go to stuttgart or locations much farther away.

Good in general. We arrived towards 17.30, wanted to reach the parking which was closed with a bar, phoned the hotel but nobody answered. Nobody was at the reception, anyway there was a self check-in desk. The street nearby the hotel had free parking places.
At 18.30 there was a helpful lady at the reception who advised us a good restaurant.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber dennoch gut.

Ankunft, Rezeption sehr angenehm und sehr freundlich.
Zimmer schlicht und einfach jedoch ausreichend für ein paar Nächte.
Frühstück sehr gut und ausreichend.
Die Bar ist schön zum abends verweilen mit Billiard und Kicker (UMSONST).
Das Hotel hat einen Raum für Fahrräder und verleiht auch selbst E-Bikes.

Der Gesamteindruck des Hotels ist was Preis/Leistung/Personal usw. eine 8 von 10.
Mann kann meckern über den Renovierungsstau aber es ist sauber und alle Mitarbeiter sehr nett.

Kostenlos Parken,Zentral,gutes Gesamtpaket und mein Zimmer war zudem absolut ruhig in der Nacht, das alles lassen einen weiteren besuch und Aufenthalt nichts im Wege stehen.

Teppichzimmer sind ganz dreckig. Im Zimmer die Kaffeerahm abgelaufene Datum, Vorhang. Ich denke mir, dass die gewaschen sind letztes mal wo sie aufgehängt sind. Und beim Frühstück Kaffee war richtig sauer.

Die Lage ist unheimlich praktisch. Man ist direkt in der Fußgängerzone, aber auch wenn man mit dem Rad oder Auto anreist, sehr gut zu erreichen. Auch das Solebad ist fußläufig schnell zu erreichen. Der check-in und check-out ist denkbar einfach, egal, zu welcher Zeit man anreist. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und gut möbiliert.

Leider überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert

Trotz des sehr netten Personals musste ich meinen Aufenthalt leider frühzeitig abbrechen. Die Einrichtung war außerordentlich alt und miefig, die Atmosphäre war bedrückend, es roch wie am Kölner Hauptbahnhof und ich habe selten so schlecht geschlafen.

Entspannungstage im Kurort Bad Dürrheim

Einzig der Zimmerschlüssel (Schlüsselkarte) hatte bei uns nicht richtig funktioniert und ist dann zufällig einfach ausgestiegen. Zum Glück war noch der Barkeeper da (Reception nicht mehr besetzt) und konnte ihn reaktivieren.

Einmal und nie wieder

Wir buchten eine Junior Suite besonders Highlight Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Vermisst haben wir vor allem die Badewanne ,das bad war sehr klein und die Toilette ehr für Kinder was die höhe angeht Minimal höher wie die Duschtasse . Der Zustand des Badezimmers schon lange Sanierungsbedürftig. Ausgebrochene Fliesen über der Toilette, überall Reparaturstellen. Das Zimmer einfach nur ein langer ungemütlicher und nicht einladender Dunkelkammer Schlauch. Das Licht befand sich nur im Bereich des Eingangs und des Sofas. Im Bereich des Bettes gab es lediglich eine Nachttischlampe bei der die Kabel defekten waren, diese wurden lediglich mit Klebeband repariert . Das Bett ein auf altgemachtes Metallbett war teilweise sehr scharfkantig.Obere Stockwerke mit Aufzug erreichbar, stimmt leider auch nicht ganz. Der Aufzug geht bis in die 4. Etage. Junior Suite befand sich in der 5. Etage diese ist nur über eine Treppe erreichbar. Das Internet funktionierte nicht, angeblich kurz zu vor ausgefallen und der Anbieter informiertem nächsten morgen klappte das einloggen noch immer nicht. Der Versuch das Zimmer zu Tauschenden eines mit unserem Highlight ( Badewanne) gebuchten ist man nicht nachgekommen, angeblich war alles ausgebucht. Merkwürdig nur das der Parkplatz bis auf eine Handvoll Autos leer war. Man bat uns dies am nächsten morgen an der Rezeption zu erwähnen und versprach uns einen Nachlass, alles was uns erlassen wurde war die Touristenabgabe, einfach nur lächerlich.

Gutes Hotel welches in die Jahre gekommen w

Das Hotel lag direkt neben dem Festivalgelände weshalb wir es gebucht hatten. Das Zimmer hatte nen Balkon mit Blick zum Festival, konnten die letzte Musik vom Zimmer aus geniessen.
Frühstück gab es eine schöne Auswahl an Speisen.

Obwohl Corona, BW-Mitglied und massenhaft Platz habe ich vermutlich das älteste Zimmer im Haus bekommen. Hatte mit den Bilden im Internet nichts zu tun. Frühstück war zwar vorhanden, aber von Qualität keine Spur! Schade...

Ruhiges, gepflegtes Hotel in einem Kurort

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer werden aber sehr gut gereinigt.
Das Frühstücksbüffet ist reichhaltig und gut. Die Lage ist zentrumsnah und doch sehr ruhig.

Sehr mysteriöse und noch nie gesehene Doppeltür ins Zimmer (???).
Würde ich nur wieder buchen, wenn ich nichts Besseres finde (vor allem weil kein Restaurant im Haus, lediglich Bar)

Wir wurden nett empfehlen, haben für jede gebuchte Nacht einen Eintritt ins Solemar geschenkt bekommen. Ein toller Service. Das Haus selber wirkt schon etwas ältlich, aber alles ist soweit funktionstüchtig. Das Welan war mangelhaft. Doch man kann ja auch mal gut ohne auskommen.

Beherbungsvertrag mit Vorauszahlung wurde vom Best Western Soleo am Tag der Anreise storniert. Ich wurde nicht informiert. Die Reception war zudem vor 23.00 Uhr nicht mehr besetzt. Mittels einer schlecht funktionierenden Gegensprech-anlage erfuhr nach meiner Intervention von der Stornierung !!!

Empfehlung ja mit Abstrichen/ Kompromissen

Lage perfekt, tägliche Reinigung des Zimmers und frische Handtücher, reichhaltiges Frühstück, sogar Café to go, leider kein Safe und kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer, sollte eigentlich bei diesem Preis Standard sein, Defekte Markise auf Südseite, Zimmer wird trotzdem vermietet, geht gar nicht, immerhin wurde anderes Zimmer angeboten! Leider nur 1 Aufzug für dieses große Hotel, auf den man ewig warten musste (3.Etage mit Gepäck geht nur mit Aufzug)

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker.
Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Der Balkon eine Katastrophe.
Die Store war nur noch ein Metallgerippe ohne Stoff. Da es geschneit hat musste man auf diesen verzichten. Zudem haben sich die Platten vom Boden gelöst.

Ruhiges Zimmer und die Nähe zum Bad waren sehr angenehm. Das Frühstücksbuffet war um 9 Uhr leider nur noch begrenzt verfügbar, das Servicepersonal zeigte kein Interesse, daran etwas zu ändern, schade...
